you are making absolute sense!!! 🤗 n yeah, he is not stubborn, neither is he wrong! he is just disturbed... that his little world is being tampered with.. a world he had been used to.. a world where things always happened his way... and now... its all changing.. and you are right about the fact that he is nt changing as person... perhaps he never will.. what is changing is the things around him... that are forcing him to look at things differently and deal with them....!!!

he is not stubborn he is just set in his way..he does bend for Geet and that proves that if her were stubborn he would not do so for Geet as well. being stubborn is a character trait not a habit that can be changed right?

He is a loner, a self sufficient being who knows he works best alone. he cannot stand inefficiency, clumsiness and most of all lies. sign of a man who is strong and strong willed now you will say isnt that stubborn. No, these are his principles he expects people around him to have, not because he is a dictator but because he believes that to be the best way to live...
he does not condone Dev's ways because of that not because he is stubborn

well a stead fast man usually gets confused for one. he is so straight forward that people fear him.

again it looks like he is changing but no he is not...
he is developing feelings for Geet, yes that is a change but not changing him.
he still is the same Maan who wants efficiency, etc...
he has not approved of Geet's clumsiness, he has developed a view point of finding it first amusing and slowly expecting it wherever she is...

i donno if i am making sense...

both of you are absolutely right.. and i think, once he admits things to himself, that will become a part of his life... a constant that no one would dare to disturb.. but for that to happen... he needs to realise it himself na... arent we all waiting for that to happen restlessly?

Persons like Maan are very principled. They don't approve of the fact that "Change is the only constant thing in the World". So, when something in their life changes or about to change they accept the truth very gradually. We are only a couple of episodes away to witness that particular acceptance towards change in Maan.

I quite agree with u but would like to add that apart from what you have said both Geet and Maan have some history and while we know abt Geet's history we are yet to see what happened in Maan's past which made him the kind of person that he is now

very nice post....i think unless everything comes out in the open it will never be clear y maan is resisting his feelings for geet....i am sure his past is playing a big role....doesnt matter how much he lectures geet on forgetting the past and stride forward in life....he is yet to apply that in his own life

these lines speak volumes about him, that he does what he is supposed to ... has no airs and graces about himself... and if an optimist or a romantic, who forsee a future laced out for the two would see it... he would say... "even he didnt know, this is pretty much how their relationship is going to be here on"

once into a relationship, i dont see two coochie cooing the way other couples would do... i have a feeling they will have a more profound, silent, unsaid relationship.. where, Geet may goof up here and there, and he will handle it for her...

Maan is the classic alpha male. It was very well evident in the very first scene when Geet meets him. He is definitely a loner with mild predator tendencies. The way he handles the situation, the quickness in which he takes decisions all points out to his alpha male tendencies.

This dichotomy of his character is what makes the serial most interesting and his personality so hard to predict. At first I thought that it was inconsistent characterization - the way his mind oscillates between an understanding guy and a total jerk. But it is the duality of his mind which drives him to be so.

I believe that its the same duality which is making him withdraw from Geet. The effect she has on him for whichever reason is making his own actions hard for him to predict. The kind of change he goes through is mind boggling when he thinks about it and it definitely is driving him insane.

I don't think he has encountered a woman like Geet in his life. She is the stark contrast to everything his world represents. On the other hand Sasha is someone who would fit in his world magnificently and may that's exactly why he is not attracted to her. The women in his world are cliche to him while Geet's personality hover over the lines of being amazingly strong to stupidly weak. Not being special in anyway itself is a factor which is attractive enough to think about her non-stop.

It's her duality which is slowly making him confused so he goes from hot to cold when it comes to her. Her unpredictable behavior confuses him and rationality is thrown out of the window. He has not sat down to sort his thoughts to derive a conclusion. I am not talking about the overly dramatic emotional out bursts but a lengthy monologue which will perhaps summarize all the interactions.

I agree with you about him being there for her once he realizes her importance in his life.

Its only a matter of time.

one of the questions hounding many a MaanEet fan, is ... what my topic is all about... and i have wondered too .. but now that i have watched the show for over a month, and have observed the characters kinda closely, i have come to realise... to make matters worse, she would bump into the guy at every port uninvited, and appear to be this abala nari, though she never, screamed to him for help... he still couldnt help but get involved... and thats why he hated her so much... imagine doing so much for someone... who doesnt even matter an inch in your life...

everytime they met, they rubbed off on the wrong side.. and this was no flimsy nok jhok about, i am right so obviously you are wrong... everytime something happened, both of them were right in their own way... but Geet always had the last say... and Maan didnt know why....

the first ever close proximity sequence, where, she gets wounded and stabbed, there is a possiblity... he could have felt something for her... he brushed it aside, cos his frustration and anger took over, that he had to face upto a girl, who couldnt stand up for herself... another wrong footing... she wasnt anyway, the kinda girl he would want in his life... or for that matter... did he have a type at all? these things didnt matter so much... the same was crystal clear...

he goes back to his life... his rountine... only to be disturbed once again...by someone he had presumed, he had left far behind.. now this would surely have irked our dear MSK, who for sure... was forced to rethink, why oh why... is this woman everywhere, when i dont want her at all... what the hell... she is the last thing i want, as she holds no significance, and there she is all over the place...

he doesnt wanna keep her, but, something, makes him hold her back... the way she fights for herself perhaps, introduces him to another side of Geet Handa, now only claiming to be Geet... while he would have wished to believe she is of a particular type.. she would prove him and his beliefs wrong each time by doing something else... in the process convincing him as well.. as to why she is right... bada panga... that too with MSK... how could she... but she did... perhaps she didnt realise it herself... but she did it..and this once more disturbed Maan...

things went totally outta hand, when he realised, a person, he had understood to be so weak and opinionless in the past could have such a strong hold on his life, that, she was slowly changing him... MSK... and that is something one, not even his dadi, who changed his daipers could do...! and this pissed him off to no end... how dare she...

but amidst all this... he knew, he couldnt avoid her... he couldnt ignore her... when she smiled, he saw a curve on his lips as well.. when she danced in the rain he felt like dancing with her... when she goofed up... he would allow her to defend herself and also argue with him.. why was she doing all this.. how was she doing all this... and why the hell was he changing so much ....

after all this ... to say to her... that, yes... he wouldnt now imagine a life without her being around... perhaps would be a little too hard for the man in question to admit... or accept.. and thats the reason why... he holds himself back...

but trust me .. one and all.. the day, he admits to it... he will be that man, who will never leave her side.. come what may... let there be a sniff of trouble anywhere, he would land before it to wipe it out for her...

and thats the day we are all waiting for...!

the day they both realise and say those words to one another... even they dont.. their hearts will!

and since all of this has happened to him within a short span of time ( he himself admitted a month) yesterday.... he is annoyed and miffed with himself as to why this is happening to him... he is desperately trying to set things right... and when thats failing, the perfectionist inside him keeps kicking his butt saying... come on ... it cant be that hard... you can do it... you will do it... and at a point where he thinks, yes... i have done it... Geet springs right back into his life and its back to square one...

I love grown to love Maan more than most other leads on TV i have known so far, cos, he is a league apart, and this difference in his characterisation is the sexiest things about him... he is going through the natural process of self realisation that, he could fall in love... or perhaps he doesnt realise it is love as well... its too soon for him...

i am waiting to sail forward with him and see how things turn out for him ... :)

Agree a 100 times over!!! Just love your post!!! One of many things the CVs did absolutely right was not make the leads fall in love w/each w/in a month! A lot of shows make the mistake of making the guy fall for the girl too early...bad mistake, but then the anticipation is gone! I liked the fact that maan's feelings emerge slow and steady! I mean it doesn't just happen all of a sudden, but slowly after many incidents...you begin to see a change in him! Also, Maan is not a lover-boy who must surround himself w/girls to look cool nor does he use "cool" lines to appear smooth...and he also doesn't tear off his clothes every now and then just to appear to sexy! his sex appeal(well does lie in his ripped abs) but he's the whole package...he's smart, mature, confident, and brave! he says so much with his eyes and he's just plain angry at the world for something that we don't know about! There's something about him that yells "bad-ass", but in the good way! Also I don't think I've ever seen Amitabh Bachchan style "angry, young man" portrayed so smoothly and natutrally on TV as the way Maan's character is!!!

I do think what sets him apart from others is that he doesn't understand love and the feelings associated w/love b/c love is foreign to him! He also doesn't like change and likes to control things and since geet has entered his life...he has changed and can't control his growing attraction towards her! She totally rubs him the wrong way, but he also forgets his angry w/in seconds when he sees her!!! Maan is a one of a kind...the BEST and I think when he understand and sorts out his feelings...he's still going to be the BEST!!!
