Maan has a past with respect to women - and a past which has left a scar and wounded his heart. More often that not, when you have a bad experience you tend to shield yourself from that kind of situations expecting something bad to happen to you again. We do not know what that past is. But something that has hardened him into a shell. But he is quite vulnerable when you look into it.

The way I look at it - Maan has always been the answer for everybody around him - a perfectionist if I am say so. He has been an epitome of efficiency. And everybody knows that Maan does not have feelings. But he does, something he has shielded from everybody. Along comes this girl who evokes emotions in him. First it was anger, hatred. Slowly came compassion, respect and lastly love. When she ties a kerchief on his hurt hand, it was as if it was a strange feeling for Maan - somebody taking care of him. He was always expected to have answers for everybody. I wonder if anybody other than Dadi loved him for what he is. And when Geet came along, things changed. She started affecting him by being true to herself. Her innocence, her honesty and her strength amazed him. He has always been heard, never been questioned. But she questioned him. When she said that dont bosses have hearts and feelings she told him that she looked at him as a human being with feelings. Geet has always done everything for Maan from the day she landed at his office. Maan knows that. He is affected by the fact that somebody is doing something for him.

Being the emotionless fool he thinks he is, he still cannot accept that someone could do things for him so unconditionally just to make him happy. He accepts that she matters to him. He accepts that he cares for her. But the day he accepts that she completes him, will be the day he will be ready to admit his feelings to her.

yeah, some things like him not liking flowers... him being so unyielding... totally immune to emotions certainly has something to do with a past... perhaps... or he is like that even otherwise... i dont know... if there is a past they better justify it well... !

the way he resists her.. there certainly has to be a reason why he thinks that the best way things should be...

i would surely know what that is...
