why Maan cant admit to his feelings for Geet..

one of the questions hounding many a MaanEet fan, is ... what my topic is all about... and i have wondered too .. but now that i have watched the show for over a month, and have observed the characters kinda closely, i have come to realise... Maan and Geet, are a typical case of opposites attract...

there have been other couples on Star One shows, that also, have fallen prey to them chemistry and magic of LOVE ... in a rather set pattern... i would like to think though, Maan and Geet are different... they havent given in as yet ...

to start off with... Maan aint a play boy or a guy, who has no other ambition in life but to flaunt him popularity and charm... a stereotype on Starone... who needed a girl to make him realise what the true meaning of life is... he is mature.. he has a life of his own.. and i would say... without Geet he was still managing fine... but, Geet's entry did more harm to him than good... at every point, he has had to bend, twist, turn and change, and though she may not say it or imply it... everything invariably goes her way... this is not easy to handle...

to make matters worse, she would bump into the guy at every port uninvited, and appear to be this abala nari, though she never, screamed to him for help... he still couldnt help but get involved... and thats why he hated her so much... imagine doing so much for someone... who doesnt even matter an inch in your life...

everytime they met, they rubbed off on the wrong side.. and this was no flimsy nok jhok about, i am right so obviously you are wrong... everytime something happened, both of them were right in their own way... but Geet always had the last say... and Maan didnt know why....

the first ever close proximity sequence, where, she gets wounded and stabbed, there is a possiblity... he could have felt something for her... he brushed it aside, cos his frustration and anger took over, that he had to face upto a girl, who couldnt stand up for herself... another wrong footing... she wasnt anyway, the kinda girl he would want in his life... or for that matter... did he have a type at all? these things didnt matter so much... the same was crystal clear...

he goes back to his life... his rountine... only to be disturbed once again...by someone he had presumed, he had left far behind.. now this would surely have irked our dear MSK, who for sure... was forced to rethink, why oh why... is this woman everywhere, when i dont want her at all... what the hell... she is the last thing i want, as she holds no significance, and there she is all over the place...

he doesnt wanna keep her, but, something, makes him hold her back... the way she fights for herself perhaps, introduces him to another side of Geet Handa, now only claiming to be Geet... while he would have wished to believe she is of a particular type.. she would prove him and his beliefs wrong each time by doing something else... in the process convincing him as well.. as to why she is right... bada panga... that too with MSK... how could she... but she did... perhaps she didnt realise it herself... but she did it..and this once more disturbed Maan...

things went totally outta hand, when he realised, a person, he had understood to be so weak and opinionless in the past could have such a strong hold on his life, that, she was slowly changing him... MSK... and that is something one, not even his dadi, who changed his daipers could do...! and this pissed him off to no end... how dare she...

but amidst all this... he knew, he couldnt avoid her... he couldnt ignore her... when she smiled, he saw a curve on his lips as well.. when she danced in the rain he felt like dancing with her... when she goofed up... he would allow her to defend herself and also argue with him.. why was she doing all this.. how was she doing all this... and why the hell was he changing so much ....

after all this ... to say to her... that, yes... he wouldnt now imagine a life without her being around... perhaps would be a little too hard for the man in question to admit... or accept.. and thats the reason why... he holds himself back...

but trust me .. one and all.. the day, he admits to it... he will be that man, who will never leave her side.. come what may... let there be a sniff of trouble anywhere, he would land before it to wipe it out for her...

and thats the day we are all waiting for...!

the day they both realise and say those words to one another... even they dont.. their hearts will!

awesome post.....niha👏........Maans feelings aise exactly define ki hai........jaise aap maan ke rag rag se waakif ho.......but everythings true....Geet's been persistently breaking down his walls without even trying to do it or even knowing that she's doing it.......Poor Maan.....never knew what hit him...... Sab destiny ka khel hai.....jinko milna hota hai milkar hi rehte hai.....phir chaahe woh kitna be usse duur jaane ki koshish kare....... usike paas wapas aakar pahuchta hai....🤗

👏👏👏....very well said....agree with each and every point made....you have reached right into the essence that is Maan and identified each one of his characteristics perfectly.....and then there is this chit of a girl called Geet who is the total polar opposite to him she makes him question his own actions whenever he's around her.....for a guy like Maan that isn't tolerable at all!

@ bold ---I trust you!!! Actually that is what we all waiting for. Your post is very well written, briefed and described. Its exactly what Maan is and what he is feeling.

I feel that that the CVs have created the perfect atmosphere today atleast for Maan to voice his emotions in the coming episodes. I strongly believe that tomorrow would be the day when Maan will let go of all the barriers and Geet would at least realize that there is some kind of bonding between them. Thats my P.O.V.

Remember which angst and attitude can't do hurt and guilt does it. And then theres really no looking back as you have very aptly mentioned....Thats why I feel he'll support Geet when she'll search for home. That would be just the beginning...

that is profound and yes a fantastic analysis of Maan's psyche..

he is not stubborn he is just set in his way..he does bend for Geet and that proves that if her were stubborn he would not do so for Geet as well. being stubborn is a character trait not a habit that can be changed right?

He is a loner, a self sufficient being who knows he works best alone. he cannot stand inefficiency, clumsiness and most of all lies. sign of a man who is strong and strong willed now you will say isnt that stubborn. No, these are his principles he expects people around him to have, not because he is a dictator but because he believes that to be the best way to live...
he does not condone Dev's ways because of that not because he is stubborn

well a stead fast man usually gets confused for one. he is so straight forward that people fear him.

again it looks like he is changing but no he is not...
he is developing feelings for Geet, yes that is a change but not changing him.
he still is the same Maan who wants efficiency, etc...
he has not approved of Geet's clumsiness, he has developed a view point of finding it first amusing and slowly expecting it wherever she is...

Vrushali, yeah, you are definitely making sense. When a person falls in love their basic personality traits doesn't change...it can never ever change. Its, only the softness, acceptance towards that particular person changes...like you said Maan had slowly accepted the fact that wherever Geet will be, there bound to be some mishap happening.

Same way I agree with Niha's viewpoint that once he swallows the fact that he loves Geet, he will never ever leave her no matter what.

Persons like Maan are very principled. They don't approve of the fact that "Change is the only constant thing in the World". So, when something in their life changes or about to change they accept the truth very gradually. We are only a couple of episodes away to witness that particular acceptance towards change in Maan.

very well written Niha....you described it so well for Maan charcter...he is not typical starone hero....He is not usual girl charmer ...rather very workoalic and mature guy...that point s good...that girl with no opinion, very clumsy, not at all perfectionist like him.....but still slowly becoming his major weakness...how much he want to ignore her...and her problems.....he end up helping her....she is growing on him....and being MK he will not easily accept that....anyone else other than him ...can rule his life...his happiness....his sorrows.....
