Initially, I too did not like NDTV Ramayan because it was competition for my precious RS Ramayan which is my utmost fav above all else forever and ever.😆😳 But after watching it, I realized that it is its own serial and to compare it with older Ramayan is like comparing apples with oranges, there is a vaaaaaaaaaast difference between the time periods of both, presentation style, scripts, characterizations, etc. I knew that if I watched it having my classic older Ramayan in mind, I would always go on disliking it, so I began rewatching it with an unbiased air, and that's when I began thinking it was not that bad of a serial Ramayan-wise. It was actually better than a lot of other serials and movies based on the holy scriptures on Lord Ram, just not better (for me) than RS's Ramayan, which for me remains the best Ramayan-based serial to this day. In NDTV's Ramayan, Guru was not that bad and I even began liking him as a good actor when I stopping comparing him with Arunji, the Ramji of Old Ramayan. He had his own style of presentation and his chemistry with Debina where they portrayed love of Ramji and Sitaji was matchless.

Yes, I too like the character of Maan a lot, but recently, he's really begun annoying me for some reason.🤔 I mean, his character is really unique and cute, but there are times when he is much too mean and rude to Geet unnecessarily. It's not even romantic then, but just plain mean. I feel SO sorry for Geet then. I wish the CVs realize when a characterization is mean or cute, because in real life, I would never fall for a guy who treats me like Maan sometimes treats Geet. Since this story is going for realisticness, I advise the CVs to bring a change in Maan's attitude where it concerns Geet and women in general.

Whereas, the character of Lord Ram is perfect in every way so in such cases when we feel annoyed with the imperfectness of society and today's men, we can always sit back and relax watching Ramayan.😉 Character of Ramji, whether people believe him to be God or myth, is the best, most perfect character in all of the universe. He is Maryada Purushotham. I feel every actor who portrays Lord Ram will get attached to it at some point - it is Gurmeet's favorite role to day, including Maan.

Anyhow, I myself tend to get attached to mythological shows over everyday normal soaps, so even though I love Old Ramayan the best, I like New Ramayan better than Geet...am just a very mytho-type of person if you guys did not guess already.😆 Also, I think Gurmeet had to work harder and put in more effort as Ram than Maan...just personal opinion. Acting Lord Ram is very hard, harder than acting normal roles, at least.😳
