Part 4: Day 2: Maan's tough day!

Maan comes out of the shower, Water dripping from his hair and face. He is slightly frustrated, geet seems to haunt him everywhere. He finds geet standing in the walk-in closet and looking for something. He walks up to her and finds no one there. He simply grabs a shirt that reminds him of his night with geet in the conference room. He throws the shirt away into the trash can and picks a formal white colored full sleeve shirt. He comes out of the outhouse and tells his driver to drive him to the office.

On the way, to the office, he keeps wondering what geet must be doing at the venue. He has not heard her or seen her for almost 24 hours. The urge to see her and hear her talk seem to drive him crazy. He, immediately tells his driver, "suno, aage turn karo, mujhe pearl hall jaana hai". "jee sir". And the driver turns the car ahead and starts driving towards the venue.

Maan suddenly realizes what he's doing, he's again getting back to geet? "nahi, yeh nahi ho sakta." And tells the driver again, "acha suna, venue nahi, office hi chalte hai. Office jaana zaroori hai." The driver looks back to see if he was really driving Mr. Maan Singh Khurana or his humshakal, and then turns the car again.

Maan receives a call from Adi, who wants to brief maan about the preparations at the venue. But Maan gets carried away by the voice in the background. How could he not recognize this voice, how could be not respond to it? He hears geet saying, "are aapko pata nahi, aapke dusht danav ko phool nahi pasand. Aur yeh phool yaha kya kar rahe hai, hatao ise. Marwayega kya?" A smile automatically came to his face. Yes, finally he heard her. He did not hear a word of what adi had to say. In fact, it was like he was speaking to geet.

He quickly disconnects the call and tells the driver, "office nahi, venue chalo." The driver simply parks the car to the side, turns back and responds, "sirjee, maaf kijiye. Delhi keh roads pe traffic bahut hoti hai. Baar baar car ko yun turn karne se hum poora din isi road pe ghumte rahenge. Na office ja payenge, na venue aur…" and realizes he had gone to far in answering Maan Khurana back. Maan has a stern look on his face, "kyun tumhein driving ke alawa aur bhi kaam hai?", "nahi sirjee, mujhe tuo koi kaam nahi hai, lekin aapko tuo hoga na? is tarah road pe aage peeche jaate rahenge tuo aapko time waste ho jayega."

"oh tuo tum Maan singh Khurana ko bataoge ki use kaise time save karna hai?" and almost gets out of the car, when the driver stops him. "ji, maaf kijiye, batayea aapko kaha jaana hai." Maan is lost in thought- geet ya office? and finally says office. the driver looks back at him to see if he is sure. Maan looks at him as though he would kill the driver, "tum ghoorna bandh karo aur aage dekho aur office jao."

Suddenly the words "ghoorna bandh karo" ring back in his ears. He remembers geet telling him that and then remembers her sleeping on his shoulder cuddling close to him. He cannot resist it anymore and says "suno,…" and stops , he thinks to himself, "no not this time geet, not again". The driver looks at him through the rear view window, confused. Maan continues, "suno office hi jao, venue nahi." This lady seems to drive him nuts. The driver was right, what was he doing making him turn the car around so many times. Has he lost it?

Maan enters his cabin and realizes he does not have the file. He quickly takes the phone and says, "geet, abhi mere cabin mein aao. Mr.chopra ka file leke", and disconnects the call. After a few minutes, there is a knock on his cabin and finds pinky at the door with a file. "sir, geet venue pe hai, aur aapke saare calls, sasha ma'am ne mujhe answer karne ke liye kaha hai. Yeh lijiye mr. chopra ka file" and leaves. Realization dawns on him, geet was not in the office. She was not anywhere around. But why can't he stop thinking about her. Why can't he stop taking her name? But snaps out of the thoughts and starts working.

After 3 hours, sasha came into his cabin. "Hello MK, I had a few concerns about mr. chopra's project. Why don't we discuss that first?"

"Sure, common in" maan smiled. He was relieved that there was more and more work coming his way so that he would not have to think of anything else. After almost of half hour of discussion maan was getting irritated. "sasha, what is this? Tum yaha ke senior employee ho aur tum mujhse aise sawal kar rahe ho? Tumne project details ko theek se pada nahi?". Sasha is embarrassed, "MK, maine yeh project kal se hi handle karna shuru ki hai. Mujhe nahi pata ki geet ne kya kya changes ki hai. And do you see how un-professional she is MK? She has not even drafted any of the changes properly."

"Here, we go again", Maan thought. The name came back to haunt him yet again. He hated hearing this name. Out of disappointment he yells, "sasha, agar pata nahi hai, tuo use phone karo aur poocho. Time waste mat karo." Sasha eyes popped out in astonishment, "Par MK, main kaise.." and maan cuts her off, "sasha, tumne isse bhi bade projects handle ki hai. So, why don't you just handle this too? Do whatever you can and finish it."

Back to the Venue: Geet is sitting with adi and going through the list of things that they had just finished. She suddenly smiles to herself. Adi notices her smiling and asks her, "geet tum muskura kyun rahe ho, mujhe bhi batoa, joke kya hai." Geet looks at him and says, "sir, pata hai, yeh kaam bahut boring hai. Yaha koi mujhe daatne wala nahi hai aur na hi mujhe gusse se dekhne wala." Adi understood she was hinting at Maan. "tuo tum maan sir ko miss kar rahe ho kya?" "nahi sir, main unki gusse ko aur daant ko miss kar rahi hoon. Pata hai, meri ghaltiyon ki wajah se unki aankhein bade bade ho jaate hai, chehra gusse se lal ho jata hai aur mera naam itna gusse se lete hai- "geet. Aur uske baad unhe dekh kar meri bolti bandh ho jaati hai."

"geet , maan sir dekhne mein serious hai, lekin who itne bhi bure nahi hai." Saying so, he leaves to continue his work. "haan sir, aap sahi kehte hai. Who insaan itna bhi bura nahi hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki who insaan jab bhi gusse mein aake koi faisla karta hai mere bare mein, who hamesha mere liye sahi hota hai. Lagta hai ki unke faisle mujhe hamesha kisi buri nazar se ya kisi buri situation se bacha rahe hai. Pata nahi, is baar bhi yahi lag raha hai. Shayad yaha aana mere liye acha ho."

And back in the office we see dev entering maan's cabin!
