Part 5: Party Revelations

Dev enters maan's cabin and sees him surrounded by files, papers, blue-prints. "hello Bro, aap itna busy kyun rehte hai?"

Maan replies to him still looking into his papers , "dev tum aa gaye. Main abhi tumhein phone karne wala tha. Sahi waqt pea aye ho. Yeh paris project ke budget planning tum karoge. Mujhe aur kaam hai." He hands over the folder without even looking up at dev. Dev smiles and understands how workaholic his bro can get and simply leaves to work in his cabin. 😕

Maan finds that he kept reading the same line over and over again but still does not seem to understand it. He thinks to himself, "Okay it's time now. It's already been too late. Not any more" and walks out of his cabin with a determined look. 😳

Back at the venue: Mr. chopra has all praises for geet and her work as always. Geet is embarrassed that this man always praises her too much and angry that her boss always scolds her too much 😉. Mr.chopra continues his praises, "Miss geet, aap itna acha kaam karte hai aur aapka boss isiliye aapko itna support karta hai." While Mr. chopra still kept talking, geet thinks to herself, "yeh le, inhe kya pata mere boss ke bare mein. Aur maan sir mujhe support kare? Haye..mere sapno mein bhi yeh sapna nahi aayega."😆

But something he says catches her attention. She asks him to repeat what he just said. Mr. chopra tells her, "miss geet, kya aap nahi jaante ki Mr. Khurana nahi chahte te ki Mr. Rahul Narayan is project mein aapke saath ye unke saath kaam kare. Unhone mujhe party ke baad hi phone kiya tha, ki agar Mr. rahul is project pe kaam karega tuo Mr. Khurana is deal ko khatam karna chahte te."😲

"kya.." geet could not utter a word. She could not believe that maan actually decided to end the project if rahul worked. 👏

"haan isiliye tuo maine yeh kaha ki aapke boss aapko bahut support karta hai." Geet cannot think. Her mind goes blank. She recalls her conversation with maan outside the hotel after the party. Yes, she had told him that rahul behaved indecently with her and that she felt like slapping him. But, maan always believed that this project was very important to him and his company. He was ready to give it all up and that too- for….. !!! 😛

"babaji, yeh kaisa chamatkar hai? Maan sir ke is roop maine kabhi nahi dekha. Yeh insaan mujhe hamesha naya kyon lagta hai? Maine project pe kaam karna tuo shuru kiya lekin kabhi yeh nahi socha ki us rahul ke bacche ka kya hua? Hai, geet tu itni bewakoof kaise ho sakti hai?😲 Ek baar bhi tumhare mann mein woh sawal nahi aaya ki woh rahul jo is project mein mr. chopra ke saath kaam karna tha, uska koi khabar nahi..!! tuo yeh baat hai… maan sir ne uss uloo ko bahar kar diya…" 😆

She turns to but finds maan standing right behind her. She steps back while he steps towards her. "sir, aap yaha? Who main kaam karne hi wali thi, bas mr. chopra se baath… "and she keeps stepping back because maan kept moving towards her. Finally maan realizes that geet is about to hit something and pulls her close to him holding her waist. "geet, tumhein peeche peeche jaane ki kya zarrorat hai? Main tumhein kha jaunga kya?"

"nahi sir, woh main…"

"geet, chup…ab meri baat suno , main chahta hoon ki tum yahan ke saare preparations ke bare mein mujhe ek report submit karo. Mujhe koi gadbad nahi chahiye. Yeh project mere liye bahut zyaada important hai aur mein ise kisi wajah se khona nahi chahta."

Geet recollects what mr.chopra had just said about maan almost finishing the deal and says, "sir par apne tuo ek baar is project ko almost khone ka risk liye the, rahul ko bahar karke. Lekin kuch nahi hua. Tuo is baar kya hoga?" 😉

Maan immediately lets go geet. He is stunned at what he just heard. How did she know about it? He never wanted to mention rahul in front of her after the party night thinking it would disturb her. He never wanted an indecent person to work with her. He was troubled even with the fake hand-shake that rahul gave her. He just needed a reason to throw rahul out and geet gave him that reason. Now, she's questioning him? Does she not understand that he did not want any harm even a unit radius away from her? 😳

He looked into those puzzled eyes and said, "geet is baar koi ghalti nahi, bas yeh yaad rakho." And walks out of the venue. Geet smiles to herself and says, "jab tak aap hai Mr. Maan Khuarana, koi ghalti ho bhi nahi sakti."
