The next game is the usual Musical chair with a variation - Mr.Netra is given a life sized doll - he has to carry the doll carefully, go from one IF ian to the other, place the doll softly on their lap, hold for 30 seconds and remove...he has to keep doing this and when the music stops whoever has the doll on their lap will have to get out. Suram brings the doll from inside ..some thing looks different... Mr.Netra is uncertain but has no choice -"che pesame Netra vai innum 4 movies kku kooti kittu poi irukkalam!! ithu thevaiya enakku??"

The music starts and all is well during the first 2 rounds... Mr.N slowly relaxes... "not so bad naa, darling?" Netra coos .... Mr.N beams... "looks like this Roja and Giri are probably not that bad???!! " During the third round the doll squeals.... the noise is so shrill that Mr.N misses it .... a few seconds later... it bites Mr.N 's hands.... Mr.N pales
but Suram shouts "hey no dropping the baby, ok??? Hold him softly and keep going around.." Roja and Giri got out in the first round and both are not to be seen!!! Jas and Caryn follow suit and no one else notices this...

Nallu and Kadhu are fascinated by the squealing and biting by the doll - miss the moment they were waiting for!!! Mr.N nondhufies his vidhi...continues the game.... During the next round, the doll slaps Nallu while on her lap and extends a palm.... Nallu has no clue and luckily Mr.N removes the doll from Nallu's lap!!! Next it is Kadhu's turn, while on her lap the doll tries to open her tummy... Kadhu squirms in her seat... looks uncomfortable... doll gets removed..... awwww yes, Roja is sure that now all know what/who it is - it is Jinnu dressed like a doll..he asked for kitcat from Nallu and looked for the same in Kadhu's tummy as she finished all the kitcat left in the kitchen!!! As Mr.N is trying to place the doll??!!! on Vani's lap, Jinnu got bored, got out of the plastic mold and pulled Mr.N down. Mr.N falls down by the sudden movement and Jinnu walks out of the musical chair ring quietly!!!

Jinnu goes straight to Jas and extends his palms - Jas hugs him " yen chellame, first 2 rounds quiet aa irunthu samarthaa vilayadinathukku unakku oru truck load kitcat tharenda!!" Netra is laughing her guts out ..Mr.N is in no position to watch over his wife.... Caryn is back to controlling Netra.... all hell breaks loose.....

With all this happening, the three kids are missing - awww Roja forgot to tell u all some thing..of course Giri and Caryn know this....Jinnu is like Aanandam Abirami!!! The moment he sees any door open, he enters!!! including the lift doors!!! The only hitch is that he does not know to operate the lift!!! Giri was watching out to the lift lobby all along but faltered for a second when Mr.N was trying to get up from the floor - Jinnu promptly took Lavi and Kavi...got in to the lift .....

All run helter-skelter now looking for the 3 kids... The most experienced Roja, Giri and Caryn go straight to the lift and open the door..... the three kids are tired after all their antics..... all are lying down with half closed eyes...hugging each other ... and boy!!! what a sight - Jas can not help recalling the poem on London - the mighty Lioness being asleep - The kids are picked softly and made to lie in the lounge comfortably.

Roja takes the podium and starts her usual tirade -" well, for those of you who have no clue as to why Jinnu was brought here - Jas, Caryn, Giri and me thought about this baby shower and wanted to show Mrs.and Mr.Netra - how exactly it would feel to have 3 kids at home - Practice makes perfect , right??? Now, one whole evening they have gone through this and seen how the twins changed in the presence of another kid - This is what will be their home in future - day in and day out - The moral of the story is let the kids be kids - until such time they get bored of being kids - believe me, the kids are much smarter and accommodating than adults!!!"

Mr.N is near fainting. Roja gives a benevolent smile and assures - "hey, any time u want baby sitting , Roja is there - just dump the kids with her and scoot , say what??" Netra happily does a boom boom maadu act but Mr.N has a steely look - "Roja kitte ya??? awwww, ithu than inviting trouble aa??"

Every one attacks the dining table - In spite of munching cashews, Jas and Caryn have done some great cooking - the rice looks like Giri's garland - athu sari, konja nanja washing aa??? Nallu's hands are red after such rigorous washing!!!!

For once, the IF ians disperse with out Roja's hysterical laughter - the kids are asleep!!!! Netra and family are in the car - a sleepy Kavi sings "va va karuppu aadu, Kambli vaichirukkiya??" - Mr.N is startled - "darling , ithu enna?? puthusaa yetho paadara???" Netra is unperturbed - "athuvaa?? Roja akka translates all nursery rhymes from English to Tamil naa??- ithu ba ba black sheep rhyme" -
Mr.N dreads heading home - "Swamy, what all do I have to undo now with my kids??" ....Roja and Giri's garland clad faces float before him and he shudders.........😳

IF Tamil Serials! Fans Lounge.

The lounge is still celebrating - - Ho was voted as Teacher idol by her students, Netra promptly delivered a baby boy immediately after her baby shower... well now Niti has become a golden girl!!!

Nallu and Kadhu had a swell time with Jinnu during the baby shower. Kadhu has vowed to avoid kitcats like plague!!! Ho went for a holiday - a week long well deserved break but she was dying to get back to the
lounge and maddie Roja - probably in the same order!!!

Sue is playing hide and seek - she is there and she is not there as well - today she is here because some one mentioned some thing related to gold and that particular word always draws Sue like a magnet - gold -iron?? iron- gold??

Jas is busy elsewhere - Roja knows what she is up to but is tight lipped - Roja has told her about the celebration and Jas will be there. In the midst of all her work load, she did make sure to drill Kadhu. Kadhu complained to Roja about being grilled/baked/roasted/deep fried - all at one go - Roja will catch up with that in due course and punish those who did all this to Kadhu.

Meli is very happy - exams are over, Chennai team came up to the finals and now it is foot ball fever.... life is treating her well. Sri has developed an allergy for the word banner - so much so that he is yet to do one for the Megala thread!!! Kutty Simba has gone underground!!!
Isaitamil is also busy but obliges Roja whenever she bugs him for upload of videos. He is being extremely nice to Roja ..poor chap... he does not know maddie fully!!!

Netra has her hands full but manages to sneak whenever possible - the kutti fellow does not need much attention as of now, after all!!! Kavi is in India - her mom passed away after a prolonged illness, poor girl needs all the prayers from IF ians. Usha is also regular these days -
until it is back to school and more grinding the nose in to the books.

Giri is busy packing - it is back home and back to school routine - of late she follows vaathu serial and runs the risk of answering Q s from her son - " peru vaichaa antha aalai kaatta vendamaa??" - Niti is glowing with all the gold she has collected from IF - First Giri was kind enough to dole out some gold that belonged to Joe of Anandam and now IF honored her with the golden shawl.

As usual Roja is not to be seen - she was in the previous evening but her mad gleam was missing - Nallu and Netra probed for the reason - learnt that Jinnu is leaving and will be away for a long time - baby no 2 is on the way and his mom is on her knees praying - "God, please, please, not even a remote resemblance to Jinnu this time , please" -

well, the door bangs and Roja comes with Jinnu 😳😳😳 on popular request????!!!! Jinnu runs to Jas the dazz and reminds her about the truck load of kitcats - Jas has forgotten obviously and looks around for Roja's handbag - which incidentally looks like a backpack - Jinnu has brought a few things to be given out to a few aunties who were smart enough to catch his fancy. Nallu and Kadhu look pleased and have smoke curls going above their heads - mind talk a la serials - " he must have brought some thing for me because he hurt me last time" - their memory is really short - Jinnu,... Roja...the combination spells danger!!!! Niti is euphoric...." let us start the party" - roars Roja ...

Jas pulled out a few kitcats and pacified Jinnu for the time being - he pulled out a mini pick up truck from Roja's bag and showed it to Jas -"truck load, remember,truck load" - Jinnu whispers some thing in to
the ears of Jas which brings a benevolent smile from her. Nallu is almost "earing" Jas - placing her ears as close as possible to Jas' but can not hear any thing. Roja has a smug smile - she knows the reason for the presence of the truck!!! Jinnu had planned to return the empty truck to Jas!!! He wanted only the kitcats and not the truck!!!

Jinnu goes to Netra who gushes over him -" u are my magic kid Jinnu, we all wanted a baby boy and you did manage to put in a word to those who matter" - Jinnu gives a blank look - he can not understand any one wishing for someone like Jinnu - he is so used to seeing his mom on her knees wishing for "nothing like Jinnu"!!! He looks around for Lavi and Kavi - Netra says that they both have gone visiting ammamma. Netra' MIL Rajamma has sent a pack full of kitcats - Kadhu was stealing glances but did not dare touch them!!! Next Jinnu goes to Kadhu and gives her a smile - one of those divine smiles when he needs some thing - Kadhu melts and starts imagining - " next will be a baby shower for me and for me a Jinnu or Jinni is fine" - looks like the same thought is running in Jinnu's mind as well - "well she does need some one like me in her house, so that she wont steal any more kitcats!!" - looks like that is Jinnu's gift to Kadhu... "one like me sooonnn" ...

Jinnu adjourns now to Nallu - who is shivering inside but puts up a brave front - Jinnu can recognize that look very well - his mom always has that expression when he is around her!!! He raises his hands up and wants Nallu to carry him - Nallu unnecessarily remembers the slap but picks him up - Jinnu's hands are full of wet chocolate paste, hair has some wet paint .... all that gets rubbed on to Nallu's dress - the one she selected carefully for the party!!! Only now she knows why Roja always roams around in dirty jeans and dirtier T shirt!!! Finally Jinnu decides to play and he pulls Giri out to play in the sand pit - she obliges gladly!!!

Caryn walks in loaded with shopping bags - Roja pulled her out of the kitchen and sent her shopping - Atina decided to do outside catering for the party and locked the kitchen -"opens only when Kavi comes back and takes charge,period"

The party is in full swing...all circulating....eating... drinking... great smelling coffee ...Jas, Roja, Giri and Niti refuse to leave the coffee kettle..... Atina finally manages to draw every one's attention, makes a small speech about Niti deserving this honor and adorns the golden shawl. Niti gets a standing ovation.......Caryn hands over the bags to each one..all have brought some gifts for Niti, the golden girl...

Jinnu wants to play hide and seek ...Roja frets!!!.... his hiding techniques are not exactly what one would label as common... he is adept at finding the most impossible places to hide and unless one can smell him, he is not traceable for a long time. Jinnu stamps his small feet on the floor and insists on playing hide and seek - Niti in her euphoria recommends "paavam Roja akka, kozhandhai thaane?? let us play" Much to the chagrin of Roja, all start playing. Roja calls Nallu and whispers some thing in to her ears - an already livid Nallu pales some more but can not refuse the request and so accepts...half heartedly....places both her eyes on Jinnu ... a tough task ... well she did ask for some adventure when Roja announced the party!!!!

The lounge is exploding with laughter - Jinnu is showing them corners that no one knew ....so far ...... Jas and Caryn are sipping coffee and prefer to sit with their legs up on the ottoman..... Netra is unceremoniously withdrawn from the play..."ushhh, sit in one place otherwise 144 thaan ,will call Vinod Now" - threat from Caryn.... Nallu is following Jinnu like how the rats followed the pied piper.... Jinnu wants to dole out the gifts he has.... and grabs Roja's bag... he has some thing for every one... a balloon, a whistle with the craziest possible shrill noise... a plastic flower.... things like this... He has brought a coloring book for Lavi and Kavi.... All get tired ..but Nallu, Kadhu, Giri and Jinnu look fresh - Jinnu wants to make some more clay dolls and so the quartet perch themselves on the sand pit..... IF ians are really really happy, thanks to Niti and of course to the little darling Jinnu .... Roja is resting, she had a tough day - she had to "Jinnu sit" as his mom was busy packing... a well deserved rest.....

India, Here I come

IF Tamil Serials Fans' Lounge.

Party time again - The "Golden girl" party was too sober and the members are not used to such sanity!!! Well, with Roja, Giri, their garland sporting ears and Nallu , sanity can not be an integral part of the lounge!!!!

Sue wanted to bring Nair bhaiyya for the party but Netra made Vinod call him and narrate the experiences of the baby shower. Nair bhaiyya got absolutely terrified and when Sue was urging him to get ready, he covered himself with a comforter and acted as if he is down with Malaria!!! Sue opted to stay back and nurse but Nair bhai won't hear of any such sacrifice!!! He obviously can not stretch and enjoy his quiet day if Sue is around!!! He pepped up Sue by reminding her of all the possible jwellery she can wear - well, the magic word worked wonders - Sue left for the party with about 1/2 kg of gold on her!!!

Ho used this opportunity to flash her new outfit - the Teacher Idol shopping spree - but made sure to avoid facing her mom!!! She had a class and so she came to the school dressed in her party wear - the kids had a field day!!! Suram couldn't care less about the outfit - "dress or no dress, I am there" - Mr.Suram heard her talking over the phone to some one like this and immediately took action to apply tar on the car windows - he forgot the windshields!!!

Netra managed to entice the girls with some cartoon movies. The little fellow is yet to learn - but Giri's little fellow has promised to teach kutti pappa a few tricks - " aww thambi pappa, I used to cry so hard and bring the sky down when Sun TV started showing butterflies and flowers - I could successfully stop my mom from watching that paadavathi Malargal serial!! The only problem is that I am not able to wean her off Aanandam. But these days she mumbles so much when she sits through that serial - looks like the director is on my side!!!" Vinod readily agreed to keep an eye on the kids -"any thing for u darling, as long as I do not have to face mad Roja and her evil twin Giri!!" Netra is at the lounge looking beautiful.

Kadhu is all ready for the party - she has the handcuff ready - she makes no bones about it - wears it around her neck and waiting for an opportunity!!! This new accessory in her neck got noticed by Versace, Ellizabeth Arden and a few others - all are vying for the design but Kadhu is bent upon giving it to Jas!!!

Meli is free these days - well not totally but has some time to spend in the lounge. Lachu serial is over and before she could take a deep breath some other serial by the name Siasakthi is up!! Simba kutty is all enthu about updating it and Meli has her hands folded in prayers - "habbbaa , intha payya will start some update, apram will abscond from the lounge ... I have to go around begging for up-daters.....hmmmm" - Kutty Simba has that wicked smile on his lips -" feels good to keep this Meli kanni guessing... I am Roja akka's student and I do know how to keep people on tenterhooks!!" Usha is busy writing a FF after a long time but manages to be in the lounge regularly.

Giri is in black and white - with matching accessories and of course
her famous jasmine garlands - she looks all innocent and sports a "paavam" look - not that anybody is going to be fooled by this!!! Nallu is all set for an adventure - "awww no Jinnu, this time, we can have a field day!!!" Nallu is also busy with FFs - all romantic ones - She does not know that Roja has some thing up her sleeves for Nallu - may be some garlands???

Caryn was away for some time. She just got back and is ready to unwind with a party. Niti is again on "hide"mode - she heard Roja singing "June ponaal July katru"on the other day and gritted her teeth - "May, June,July.... hmmmm Roja akka, an year has only 12 months, right??" Serial is also ready to relax - " last party was pretty sober , after all!!! Age must be catching up with Roja akka ,that is why she is becoming saner now..." If Roja's hubby and daughters get to read Serial's mind..... awwww Serial is in for big trouble!!

All are eagerly waiting to see the costume of Jas - oh yes ..she did promise to cover her pink toes!!! Ever since she played Shreya, she has become allergic to fabrics in general .... more so to have them touching her skin!!! The whole of South Africa got drained of hand kerchiefs - UN aid was asked for and Tiruppur mills in India produced kerchiefs on a war footing - With all this happening , no one still knows where all the hand kerchiefs disappeared - Shreya..ooops Jas has not bothered to expose....oh no no... exposes still..... awwwww whatever!!!! The IF ians are rest assured about the toe covering!!!

Well no sign of maddie and Jas - lethal combo - and the IF ians wait ...impatiently.......

The IF ians had fun in shedding whatever they could - including conscience 😳😳 - Roja wanted Sri and Simba Kutty to participate in the next game and so all dress hurriedly -wait wait..Roja wants little variation in that as well - she switched off all the lights and asked every one to dress up - Jas is livid with anger -"inime enna light off?? ellam pathache, apram enna??" - the IF ians grope in the dark and grab whatever comes to their hands. When the lights came on, the IF ians look like clowns -Kadhu is trying to wear Vani's blouse as if it is a skirt ..... Vani is stuck with Meli's T shirt which refuses to come down the neck and makes Vani look headless in the bargain..... Jas ends up wearing Giri's scarf as her skirt - can not blame her though, she is not used to heavier and longer fabrics.... Ho watches sadly as her new outfit is worn as a dupatta by Nallu...Sue makes sure that all her jewellery is in tact "who cares anyway about clothes??? I can ask for a thanga kavacham from Nair chettan" ...... finally all manage to exhibit some decorum... ready for KS and Sri...ready for the next game.....

Roja announces the prize money first -"1st prize is 10,000 Rs worth Land Mark gift voucher. 2nd prize 5000 Rs worth Kumaran gift voucher and 3rd prize.... well that will be a surprise....ok?" Atina screams from the corner -"Rojaaa, I have no budget for all this..do not expect any money from me,ok?" Roja smiles - she is rich now.. she sat outside the ICU where Megala is admitted after the stabbing - the Tilaga clan did a "Round Katti Oppari" (RKO) and Roja sold tickets - 10 Rs per head to see Megs through the peep hole, 100 Rs to join the RKO and 1000Rs to watch the RKO - Roja is rich today!!!

Jas has made up her mind - " Land Mark, here I come, I do need some reading material!!" Nallu looks at Roja..an expectant look ... not too sure "vantha odaneye kathile poo soruginanga... enakku prize kuduppangalaa??" Giri knows for sure "illai illai, enakkku illai antha Kumaran voucher.... Thiruvilaiyadal Nagesh mathiri polamba vaichittangale... SOTW Nagesh aa play panninathu thappa poche..." Roja has her mad gleam in place now - looks like it will be a rigged affair -

The game goes like this...... : "it is nothing but the usual passing the parcel game folks....with a slight variation" - the IF ians deem it fit to sigh .... "usual game with a small variation..uh huh.. maddie must be having some thing totally queer in mind" - all are ready to play " dress ellam kazhatiyachu... nothing can be more impossible!!!" Roja spells out the rules - The parcel will be passed around with music , when the music stops , u open the parcel and do whatever is written there, say what??' The ever alert Caryn asks "so what is the variation??" Roja says " normally we sit in a circle and pass the parcel, illiya?? For a change , the parcel will be placed in the center and once the music stops every body should rush to pick it up - whoever is not able to even touch it is considered out and so has to do whatever is asked of them"

Jas sighs... "habba yenna da ithu koothu??? passing the parcel le usual aa athai thooki thooki erivom, ippo athai nambale poi thodanumaa??? Intha Roja kku brain must be at the back of her neck...grrr"

Game starts and all start running in circles - some thing they are absolutely familiar with!!! The first one who could not touch the parcel is KS - he has to jump like a monkey and he gladly does that " I am so used to it" he sees Nallu having a banana and grabs it as well. Giri has a doubt "akka , ithile epdi winners choose pannarathu?" Roja mumbles some thing in to the ears of Giri and Nallu - Giri starts rolling on the floor..."awww , enna ipdi oru doubt enakku???" Nallu has a tough time ...with the sunflowers blinding her vision and Giri's rolling.....

Next is Sri's turn... he is just asked to sing a rhyme . Being a good singer, he is game but Roja wants him to translate an English rhyme in to Tamil and sing. By the time he finishes singing " Peter Peter, Parangikai sapidaravane" all the rest of the IF ians are rolling on the floor. One by one gets eliminated and finally we have Kadhu, Jas and Suram - now Giri knows that these 3 get the prizes - Kadhu throws a dirty look at Jas " as it is u kill people with Qs, ippo innum books vera vaangi ellaraiyum kollanumaa?? no way!!"

The first to get eliminated is Suram -" innangadi thillalangidi jimikki gala,, apdiye antha parcel mele paduthu kineenga!! innamme Rosaaaa, inna prizeu enikku??" Roja gives a wicked smile - "surprise athaane" There is a war going between Jas and Kadhu - Kadhu has the added advantage of her dress which can do the covering trick well - Jas makes a mental note to write a stinker to Shreya..... Finally Kadhu gets the first prize and Jas the second -

Jas looks beaten..she was so looking forward to visit Land Mark..... Jas decides to exchange the prize with Suram as she sees Suram eying the Kumaran voucher longingly. Suram is elated and winks at Roja - Roja also has an appreciative smile which translates as -"chinna thirai le nadikka u are qualified, Atina kitte solli , will get u a chance" - so now, what does Jas get??? what is the surprise in the 3rd prize????

Suram quietly hands over the cover to Roja and seats herself with a smug smile. Kadhu looks at both Suram and Roja ..."some thing is not right here...Suram et tu??" Roja opens the 3rd prize cover and out comes a Business Class ticket - one way ticket... SA to India......... Jas does a Tilaga clan act - spreads her side plates out of their sockets...... "maddie is not so bad after all ...nice of her to book that ticket....." Roja presents that to Jas and starts running out of the lounge with her usual hysterical laughter..Nallu. Giri and Suram follow Roja.... the rest have no clue..... well ....Jas looks at the ticket...and gasps....."Oh my God!!! Travel date is June 20th 2009!!!!!!" Rojaaaaaaaaaaaa...........😳

IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge

The lounge is teeming with members - all are curious about the (un)dressing part - Looks like some members reserved seats with towels ..... what ever piece of clothing they can do with out!! 😳

Tamilselvi had a heated discussion with hubby - finally decided to lock him up in the house - "as it is the IF crowd is mad and now with all this questionable dress code... uh huh, I am not taking any risk" - Hubby begged to be taken along..offered to cook and clean for a month...um hum..Tamil does not mind having a dirty house..." getting my hubby corrupted by the likes of Jas and Roja gives me the jitters.."

Netra has some basic doubts -"Wednesday???Thursday????" -
she needs Calendar Kadhu to remind - can not blame her, with the twins, the new infant, Vinod and the Magal updates ..any one can loose track of day and time!!!

Nallu reserved a seat for herself - well in advance. She does not know that Ho removed that - "u wore my Teacher Idol dress as a duppatta??!! here is my revenge....a ha ha" Vani is still very shy about Jas parading around with some thing less than a kerchief....Giri is busy storing smelling salts -" to night we might run out of stock!!"

Meli is excited about her holiday -begging people to come forward and update Kolangal - she has been looking around for Roja who is skillfully avoiding Meli - "ayyo un exam pothu update panni na innum konjam mental aagittene" - Meli has not lost hope - " I know how to con Roja akka!! a few cry emotions and bingo maddie will succumb 😳😳 "

Sue is still busy counting the grams of gold - "good harvest eh??? Why don't we have B'days every week??" Little does she realize that Nair bhaiyya is all set go underground for the next B'day!!!

Die hard vaathu fan Ho is at her tether's end - so much that she is hopeful about EK approaching Roja for a story line....

Jas is actually livid - "ever since that dam(n)e Shreya sat on me, undressing...dressing???...aww what ever....has become a force to reckon!!! I have nothing to leave when I visit Banares!!!! I am giving this mad Roj just a few more days time to clothe me well - other wise I will bundle her up and leave her in the Ganges...well, I just have to leave some thing in Banares...it can be Roj too.."

Both Tamizhan and Kutty Simbha are missing - they do not want to be thrown out once again - but the real reason is that they are not interested in seeing the various stages of undressing in the lounge. Sri is already tired of playing Rajini uncle -"what if mad Roja asks me to dance for sahana pookkal with Jas??"

Well ..so many emotions....so many expectations.... imaginations running riot.... lounge waits....maddie is missing.........oh yes the lounge door bangs..there she is ...madder than ever.... with a pronounced gleam.... Jas shivers......

Kadhu jumps and offers her coke to Roja -" Roja akka, vanthu ttingalaa??? Panjali Jas is ready... Dhuriyodhana koottam mathiri naangalum ready.... " gives an expectant look. Maddie is deep in thought and every one interprets it differently

Kadhu: what to remove first nnu yosikkaranga..
Vani: enakku result enna nnu theriyanum, avvalavuthaan
Netra: Jas kitte rendu diapers eduthu kudukkanum...
Jas: I just have one condition .. I just do whatever maddie does..... cap vendor and monkey story thaan innikki...
Sue:"Jas has to remove her jewellery as well??? I can help her by wearing them...."

Roja finally looks up and asks: "shall we start the games?? Tamil where is your hubby?? I had planned some thing for him.." All can hear Tamil grinding her teeth - "ithu vera yaa?? nalla kaalam hubby kku rendu bread slice um 1 glass juice um vaichu lock panniyachu" - Roja the mind reader, can read Tamil's thoughts and says " ennappa bakki ellarum avanga avanga pets kku food and water marakkame vaichingalaa??"

Nallu gets up and reminds Roja -"u said that Jas will parade in some thing less than a kerchief!!! Don't u think that we should get that out of our way first? " Vani throws a glance at Nallu which says "atta girl" while Giri tries to suppress a smug smile. Giri has been extremely quiet and no one notices that - all are waiting for the show to begin!!!

Roja taps her forehead -" aww , I said that didn't I?? Well, Jas will parade in some thing less than a kerchief for sure... but I have some thing else to do before that" Roja looks at Giri who gets up to close the windows and doors. Someone informed Pat about this party and she had a consultation with her lawyers - "any thing done inside a room , non commercial...should be no problem" - lawyers pacified Pat. She was worried about bailing out Roja again!!!

Jas is now beyond caring - " ennathaan nadakkum nadakkattume... thaaikku mele vellam ponaal jaan enna muzham enna..... "such songs doing a merry go round in her mind....

The members are now happy - for a moment they all doubted Roja - what if she acts as if she forgot Jas and kerchief!!! Kadhu pats Nallu -"all that FF s are standing u in good stead, u reminded maddie ...all in good time.." Nallu beams.

Roja rants - " to get some thing u should give some thing .All of u are curious to see Jas but what are u going to shed?? Justice has to prevail u see!!!" On cue, Giri removes her kurdi.. she has a dark black slip inside!! Roja for her part removes her T shirt ..she has a sleeve less vest inside... The rest blink...what??? there was no talk of any sacrifice!!! just that the party will be wider than the farewell party and that Jas will ....

No one is prepared for this .... Nallu stares at Giri ...if only looks could burn..... Jas relaxes visibly... "aww so she has some thing in mind, after all!!!" So now what??????

The members are fretting... fuming.... Meli musters all her strength and plays spokeswoman "Roja akka, u never said any thing about the others shedding!!" Roja looks at Giri and Giri dishes out a small pocket note book out of her hand bag .... turns the pages as if it has been delivered by mail from the British Council Library ..just then... and informs "u are right Roja akka,no one ever asked any thing and so u never volunteered info on this - no sweat" Now a few more eyes pierce Giri... the looks are such that Giri can straight away submit them to her doctor .. no need to expose herself for any X rays during her master health check....

Kadhu remembers that she did away with her slips "is a hot day and anyways I am not the one to shed clothes.." Nallu curses the sultry Madras weather for easing out on her clothes.... Ho had to wade through the down pour and had to hurry to the lounge..dress was not priority.. then.... Sue is as careless as mad Roja ... Vani tightens her white skirt which is free of coffee stains.. Meli has packed her bag for her holiday and did not think twice about visiting the lounge ..skimpily clad....

Maddie sees that no one is willing to shed... but acts as if it is no big deal..." any ways I always keep my word and so Jas will do what I promised " Jas looks at Roja and thinks .." awww there she goes again... thought that I had that pound of flesh!! and... she promises that I will parade....grrrr."

Maddie again looks at Giri who goes to the corner of the lounge and removes the cover off a huge card board carton. Roja starts again -
" Ok, we just have one game and the game ends with Jas wearing some thing less than a kerchief, ok?? Now Giri will draw lots and each one picks a number. The member with no 1 will open the first carton. Inside will be the carton marked no 2 - no 1 takes the first carton and should hide inside, no 2 will claim the 2nd carton..do not worry we have cartons for every one other than myself, Giri and Jas - the final carton has the dress for Jas - once all of u claim your cartons and hide, Jas will dress herself. Giri will blow a whistle and u can all come out to appreciate Jas in her Shreya outfit. What say?" By now , every one is ready to any thing other than shedding clothes -"vitta porum da sami, carton enna , I can lie on the floor" - all minds think alike!!!

Both Giri and Roja have a poker face - Jas is absolutely calm now and chides herself for venting out on maddie .. "che, Roj is a Roj is a Roj..... how did I even think that she would strip me??"

After this , the lounge moves in break neck speed.... numbers are drawn feverishly and all run to hide themselves inside their designated carton....finally the carton with Jas' dress is left behind ..Giri goes and checks that all the rest are well hidden inside .... Roja pulls out the dress...Jas gasps ... starts to make a whooping noise ....Giri quickly gags her....Roja's mad gleam is gleaming more......

Jas is dressed...Giri blows the whistle... all cartons spill out their content .... blinded by the darkness inside..all are wiping their eyes to have a good look.... bingo.... Jas stands there tightly wrapped from her shoulders to knee.... the material looks all lacy....The crowd is spell bound for what seems like an age..but in reality it is not more than 2 minutes.....

Nallu screams.."Roja akka , u cheated us.... u said less than a kerchief....and now this" Kadhu removes her glasses and wipes it nicely... Vani is agape.. forgets to close her mouth...Meli is rolling her eyes in all directions.... Netra shouts -"Roja akka explain,...NOW"

Giri has had enough of her poker face expression..rolls on the floor laughing.."God , at last!!! Roja akka would have killed me if I had given out a small clue.."

Roja waits for the uproar to die down....finally gets on top of a table and shouts "friends, IF ians, lend me your ears" All become quiet but ready to pounce the moment Roja finishes her explanation..." I said that Jas will parade in some thing LESSER than a kerchief. This dress is made of un-cut kerchief from the Tirupur mills. They make a whole roll and cut them later. The piece of cloth gets labeled as "A KERCHIEF" only after it is cut. Based on that fact, this material qualifies for the term "less than a kerchief!!! any doubts???"

The IF ians are stunned....now Jas also rolls on the floor laughing.... Roja gives out her hysterical laughter which echoes in the lounge... all flee... Jas is still rolling on the floor..oblivious to the fact that her dress is all over the floor ..exposing a major part of Jas.... well it is just Giri and Roja who are privy to that show....Jas did live up to her Shreya image..... awwww did she not???? 😳

IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge

The lounge looks very different - oh do not imagine this
to be another party - strip or otherwise - today Kadhu seeks
justice - Has decorated the lounge with a load of placards -
" Roja akka Neethi vendum" " Giri sister, bring your Senthil
here" Kadhu ketkiraal neethi, irukka athu inge meethi??" -
kind of placards - Kadhu is dressed in black , another form
of protest. Her agony is very different - she does not care much
about ghosts and no ghost can scare her - she is more upset
by the fact that she was left alone with the evil duo - who can
replace all the ghosts of the world.

Netra has a smug smile - she has done some spade work about
which Kadhu has no clue. Bribing, crying,rolling on the floor as
if it is an anga pradakshinam.... all were employed to get what
she has in mind - does nurse a small doubt though - " hmmm,
ellam kettuttu antha kirukku akka enna seyya poraangalo???
hmmm"

Nallu is trying to run between Netra and Kadhu - right now
she is in two minds -" I am saved from the clutches of mad
Roja ..should I be happy??? Maddie has already asked about
my defection.... should I be scared??? hmmmm and my B'day
is tomorrow ...hmmmmm" However, she is trying to pacify
Kadhu saying that she should visit the Disney land - one
last time before she leaves Hong Kong - "why are u wasting
your time here??? why don't u go and enjoy??" Nothing fazes
Kadhu - she is adamant -"when Jas needled me, Roja akka
made sure to punish her by postponing her trip back home.
So, this time also she has to do some thing!!"

Meli is away on holiday. Ho is upset about vaathu not having
a mind of her own. Jas is keeping her fingers crossed - prays
to her signature who is busy drinking some thing all the time -
" hey thonthi, ozhungu mariyadhaiya ennai kondu poi oor le
serthudu , unakku oru carton load of straws vaangi tharen" -

Suram drops in regularly. Plays all the games, needles Kadhu
once in a while.... doles out some chaste Madras Tamizh.......
Sue is sulking - she was hoping to wear all the jewellery if
Jas was stripped -" che this Roja denied me the opportunity ..
might as well sit with Netra and show maddie my displeasure..."

As usual Giri and Roja are missing - Giri is very busy ,
otherwise also - a group in vaathu serial is all set to deal
with the crew of the serial - Giri has been asked to head
the group. She surveyed Roja's ammunition cupboard and
saved some choice weapons - " vaathu, here we come"

Kadhu screams at the top of her voice and slowly the lounge
gets filled with members... out of curiosity... Pat sent an urgent
email to Atina asking her to be present -" neethi?? Nyayam???
enna ppa? vara vara ellarum namba kitte illatha vishayama
parthu kekkaringa??"

Oh yes the lounge door bangs.... maddie comes in ...Giri follows.....
both are discussing some thing in a hushed tone.....
Giri: "illai kka, athu vendam...paavam"
Roja: "ithai yellam valara vida koodathu Giri, nacchunnu oru
adi thaan, ezhunthu irukkave koodathu, enna solre??"
Nallu pales -" enna da ithu?? pecche sari illaiye?? kadavule" ...

Kadhu is sipping some water and doing her one woman
dharna....Netra holds Vinod for support..... Roja looks up
at the placards and raises an eye brow - "what is this???
any problems??" Both Kadhu and Netra jump to their
feet to defend their cases.....

Giri and Roja are flustered as both Kadhu and Netra talk at the same time - even the mid night flash bulbs and ghosts did not evoke such response!!! Pat jumps in with all her knowledge of the law - there is no one in this lounge who is more qualified than Pat with regard to law and its nuances - how many times has she bailed out Roja??? All her savings got drained just by Roja!!!

Pat: Ok , now I will appoint a counselor for each of you. You can take 15 minutes to brief them and then they will argue your case, say what???

Netra agrees immediately - she has to fight the case and take care of junior Vinod - " I can sit in my chair and direct my advocate". Kadhu refuses to accept this - " no counselor can represent my voes like how I can - and this is not the first time!!! I have to prove to the lounge that I am an excellent person. A lot of negative stuff is being spread around about me" Pat tries to explain the judiciary and how the system
works but Kadhu stands her ground -" me ..me .. me.. I will represent myself. We see in so many serials and movies that the defendant talks for him/her self!!"

Jas slaps her forehead in frustration -"ayyo intha ponnu thannoda vaayaleye kettudum pole irukke!!! Defendant nnu solraale!! ayyo da" Roja and Giri share a wink. Finally Pat agrees with Kadhu and Netra gets time to brief her counselor. Kadhu is busy writing notes. At regular intervals Kadhu and Netra throw daggers at each other - just
looks which can replace daggers!!!

The case starts - by now the interest level in the lounge has grown by leaps and bounds. Roja is asked to play the judge but she refuses -
" any verdict given by me will be called as a biased one. Let Atina be the judge" . Now Atina nondhufies her vithi -"ayyo, why did I respond to Pat's email??? All the members here are my girls and how can I sit in judgement??"

Netra's adocate: My lord, there is no case here . My client wanted to play a practical joke on the evil duo. She had no intention of including the defendant in that joke. The defendant always comes to the lounge earlier than every body and on that particular night she slept before the evil duo arrived. My client can not be held responsible for this and so prima facie, there is no case". At this point, Atina is ready to give a hand and leg to scoot the arena - " case illiya?? appo adjourn??say what??"

Kadhu gets up and her eyes sport a gleam - much similar to that of mad Roja - " My Lord, You have to listen to me as well - may I remind you that all have equal rights and need to be heard???" Atina once again nondhufies her vithi and seats herself.

Giri's jasmine garlands are swinging vigorously .. Roja looks calm... who ever said that appearances are deceptive must have had one hell of an experience.....A poker faced Roja is a force to reckon.... Nallu is hiding... she does not want to be a witness..... she is praying to all Gods..."samy, vendam ppa...ennai witness stand le nikka vaichu datheee" ....
