IF Tamil Serials' fans Lounge

Party time - what for??? well one is for Kams kutty - she is getting
married in Nov and so a kutti bridal shower - Eljay put her foot
down -"now that ACD has decided to postpone his marriage, I need
an occasion to flaunt my silk sari" - well for those of u who have a
short memory - she bought a new sari for 8,000 rs very recently to
match the green toupee - the IF members went and cried their
hearts out to Jazzie - so now, she needs a reason to wear that sari!!!!

Netra and Nallu are busy - "aamaa, intha RP kku vera velai illai.
Summa party nnu announce pannittu poiduvaanga. Namba ella
velaiyum seyyanum" - but they do enjoy this exercise -"there will
be some villangam, will be fun!!"

Vani is playing some songs - someone is singing about licking the
lips and nose - some "nakkai nakku, mookai nakku" - For a change
Roja is inside the lounge and happens to hear that song - Makes a
mental note to check with Vani -"whoever is singing that.... paavaam
I will buy some lollypop for them to lick .....licking some one's nose or
lip is unhygienic ..."

Sue is busy - Onam celebs in full swing - there was a news item
last night about a kolam drawn with gold - some gold shop in
Tirunelveli had made a "swarna kolam" - awww Poo vaikkara
edathile pOnnai vaichu kolam??? Ever since Sue had a look at that,
she is busy calling her travel agent - she needs to have a look
and drain Nair bhayya's purse some more!!!

Ho is very disappointed with Vaathanandhi - she has been singing
"varuviya??maattiya???" ever since vaathu started abacus school -
enge?? looks like vaathu is just too happy to avoid kadu kadu senior -
"eppo parthalum kadu kadu nnu oru moonji!!! oru coffee cup kaile uh huh"

Giri is very busy - Mr.Giri is back from Dubai - for good - she breezes in
and out of the lounge - today she is there to support Roja. The evil duo
is discussing some thing - well Nallu as usual tries to eavesdrop but the
duo have been seeing too many serials - are adept at muted talking (???!!! )

Both Jazzie and Netra have a funny gait - both suffer burnt backs -
they tried to grill Roja but maddie managed to push them on the griller -
happily sat over the laps of Jaz and Netra -

Suram is in absconding mode - must have gone some where to
attend a refresher course on Madras Tamizh - looks like the pettai
Thamizh dictionary is getting richer by the minute.

Kadhu is busy setting up house - Roja was looking for her but
was told that Kadhu will get back only by the week end.

Meli is b usy grilling Basanthi and updating Kolangal - Basanthi
managed to slip away but Meli has not lost hopes - well Netra
is not much worried - her question paper is all set - just cut and
paste work thaan bakki.

Ok, one reason is Kams, fine.... is there any other reason for the
party?? any hidden agenda??? awwwww ask the devil duo....

All the members are dressed to kill - whom??? Kams arrives
and looks all coy - she has brought the engagement photographs
and every one is admiring the saris, the glitter etc., etc., Kams
has all the lakshanams of a " soon to be wed" bride.

Giri and Roja are busy doing some thing - Nallu's eyes are
fixed on the duo and she puts her lip reading skill to full use.
Tries to decipher the exchange between the devil duo - umm
humm nothing works.

Eljay is giving sari shopping advice to Kams - " oru 100 saris partha
apram, antha kadai le illatha color kelu... so u can go to the next shop."
Kams has a note book and she is seriously writing every thing Nallu
shudders - "hmm namba wedding pathi sonna, innum enna llam advice
kidaikkumO??"

Giri calls for attention -"hey we have some games, lets play" Kams
looks scared - " Giri akka, Roja akka kadicha kaathu ellam repair
panna romba naal aachu!!! Ippo games aa???bayama irukku" Giri
says that Roja is cured of MSSS - "these days Roja even updates
Kams, no worry" Kams does not look convinced. Roja gives one of
her nice smiles to Kams - which actually scares Kams more -
"saguname sari illiye??? theriyame vanthuttene!!" Atina assures -
"Kams kutty, Saravana Bhavan pona doctor thirumbave illai. Looks
like he took a waiter's job there. After his encounter with Roja,
he gave up his profession -"pesame coffee aathi pizhichikkaren
nnu poittar. But Roja is fine now" - None of these comfort Kams -
she rushes in and finds her mask stashed away in a corner -
wears that and comes!!!

Atina announces -" Roja no games, ok?? we will all sit and chat.
Kams is scared paavam" Roja gives a hurt puppy look but obeys
Atina - they are a pair who can read each other very well. That look
kindles some memories for Atina and she shudders!!!

Sue is lost to the world - Kams has brought all her jewellery and
Sue is pouring over them - Netra makes an urgent call to Nair bhaiyya
and updates him - The lounge can hear him groaning - one of those
scared, vexed, helpless groans !!!

Ho is happy about the wedding but probes Kams - "did u see the
groom properly??? Do u like him?? You did not see his cousin or
brother or somebody??? " Kams can not understand the underlying
frustration - well, she does not see Vaathu serial - The rest who
watch vaathu are able to appreciate Ho's concern.

The members are laughing...joking.... comparing notes about how
their courting days were...etc., etc., Roja and Giri are unusually quiet.
Netra has a knowing smile - Jazzie is fanning her back at regular
intervals - she named her personal toilet as Supramani and decorated
it with blue ink spots a la Sridevi of Moondraam Pirai - it has become
the talk of the town - people visit India Gate first and the next tourist
attraction is Jazzie's Supramani!!!

Eljay screams - " hello hello, can some body tell me reason no 2??"
Now the whole lot chant as if they are attending one of Vaathanandhi's
sermon - " we want no 2... we want no 2....." Can not blame the members...
they are so used seeing 2 wives serials ... No 2 has a great significance
for them!!!!

Reason No 2 walks in..... in a nice silk sari..... one whole load of
glass bangles.... siling siling siling.... Giri managed to rob her
pookkari of all the jasmine ..... oh yes... it is our dear Kadhu......
The members are at a loss for words..... "Kadhu??? enna vishesham??' .
... starts as a mumbling ...grows.... grows... in to a roaring noise.....
Kadhu looks sweet and shy....

Roja takes the podium... uh huh ... the lounge was free of her tirades...
but she is back..... "Ok folks, u all see reason no 2 -
Like I told you, it is a wish and we wanted all of u join and bless
our Kadhu - we did a bangle protection for her ...in camera....
inside our dressing room and brought her out. I am sure all
of you remember her saying that she would like to start a family
soon - in her MOTW - we just thought that we will use this
opportunity and do a "pre bangle protection" - God willing,
we will do the "bangle protection in about 8or 9 months ..here ...
among us.... let us all wish and say three cheers to Kams kutty and
Kadhu chellam......."

The lounge explodes .... Giri takes the mike and roars " three cheers
to both our chellams - Kams and Kadhu.....hip hip hoorray....." the hip
hip hooraay echoes ....... the members from other lounges come hurrying
to see ........ Kadhu and Kams look all coy and demure..... Let us wish
them both all the very best..... May their lives be filled with happiness
and harmony.......

IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge

There is a lot of activity in the lounge today. The members
have decided to have fun - the whole of last week, all the
serials tested their patience. Maddie has been informed and
so all expect some action today.

Giri is very busy - looks like she has taken to dancing - she
must have listened to David Bowie - "put on your red shoes
and dance your blues" - Not just that!! She is actually training
a group to dance for a particular song. - Daddy gander went
and confronted creep which irked the vaathu serial followers.
Maddie aped Kathalikka Neram Illai song - some kind of a
remix which caught Giri's fancy. She has vowed to do the
arengetram for this dance.

Both Vanis find themselves totally lost - Giri has a nattuvaanga stick
in her hand and wants them to shake like nobody's business -
"aww, this tune is all about Rock N Roll - u better rock and roll
guys" Vani 19 says that she has worked the whole week and
needs to lie down. Vani 2007 is just waiting for some one to come
and rescue her from the steely clutches of Giri.

Netra has deputed Lavi and Kavi - both the kids have no clue as to
why this song is so important but enjoy dancing - they both are the
most flexible - which brings us to Eljay.

Eljay escaped giri saying that she has a bad knee but agreed to be
around as a supervisor. Maddie has not written the whole song ...
yet. So, Eljay is able to find a lot of lacunae in the lyrics. Whenever
Giri asks for some word to be changed, Eljay comes in to help.
"yaruppa intha song original aa ezhuthinaa?? words ai twist panna
konjam kashtamaa irukku" Giri has had enough " aww Eljay, I cant
go around searching for Mr.Vaali or Mr.Kannadasan !!! or for that
matter Mr.Vairamuthu - try to juggle in, ok??"

Giri keeps looking at the door -" Roja akka enge?? Rathiri nerathil
thookathil naan oru rakshashi pol varuven " - intha line kku , these
people are not able to show the right expression. Konjam Roja akka
face parthaa easy aa irukkum!!! samayam parthu enge poittangalO???!!
hmmm"

Nallu has a dazed expression - she finally archived all those FFs -
"habba , regular aa ithu epdi thaan seyya pOrenO?? 2 days leave
apply pannalaamaa?? enge?? this Netra can trace me wherever i am.. hmm"

Kadhu still looks dull - she shifted her house and ended up being sick.
Mr.Kadhu cooked alright but never bothered to clean up - "hmmm, we
could have bought food!! Ippo, how to clean this mess??" The house
needed a lot of attention and Kadhu is not game for that - right now -
so she scooted to the lounge - along with some water and jamakkalam.-
' um hum, nagara porathu illai"

Sue is also fed up with all the serials she watches - Kolangal takes the
cake with carton - She is all ready to assist Roja -"let us have some fun.
Will be good to watch Giri and group dancing. I can join too".

Ho has no ideas of dancing - she wants to just sit and watch - school
work has been consuming - maddie suggested that Ho should update
vaathu story once - Ho ended up with a fever - - very much like the fever
that her students get just before the exams - "bless Netra, nalla kaalam,
she saved the agony. But I do have to settle this with Roja.... at the right time.."

Isaitamil looks all lost - both Meli and Netra con him to do updates for
Alankolangal" !!! And he is the sole updater for T.Selvam -"aww nalla
kaalam, Roja madam does not watch that serial. Otherwise ange vera
comments pOttu, yen kazhuthai oru vazhi panni duvaanga" - he tries to
look calm because he knows that maddie does some mind reading
" what if she is able to read my mind and decides to watch TS??"

Meli is on the prowl - for a new MOTW - Basanthi gave her some nice
halwa - the Tirunelveli variety - so she now needs some goat like Atina
or Roja - who when put on the hot seat manage to heat up the lounge
but they themselves stay pretty cool.

Jazzie is very busy - Her "Mayilu" and "Supramani" have gained so
much popularity that NDTV did a documentary on them. From various
parts of the country she gets invitations - "can u please come and
conduct a naming ceremony for all our royal loos??? we need some
name which should reflect our culture and language" Jaz has decided
to go on her annual leave - "I get to make more money this way and get
to see the nooks and corners of India!!!" She is surrounded by the
dictionaries of all the Indian Languages - She has requested assistance
from the lounge - " whoever wants to come with me are welcome -
hospitality by the respective state governments"

Well, as usual, maddie is missing - and pray where she is??
Oh yes, the door bangs ..... the typical maddie bang..... Roja is here....
followed by what??? whom????

Well maddie barges in and some men are coming with her.
While the members wait to hear some thing from her, she
goes straight to Atina's cabin. She closes the door and some
noise comes out of that room. The members are getting restless
and after what looks like eons - actually it took about 30 mins -
the members are let in. Looks like maddie has installed some new
equipments - there are so many wires running all over the floor.
The men are dispensed with thanks.

Roja locks the door and some in camera discussion goes on.
The members are overjoyed with the set up. In their over
enthusiasm, they forget to ask Roja a few things. Maddie has
that mysterious smile on her face which spells danger in all caps.
Giri collects her group and shows Roja's face - "look at that, are
u not scared??? so why don't u bring that emotion when u dance
for that particular line??"

Nallu and Netra are doing some kisu kisu talk - Nallu finally gets
the courage to ask Roja "ellam sari thaan, but antha directors ..
will they all come here again??? Their past experiences are so bad
that they may not accept your invitation!!" Maddie again gives another
evil smile "invitation??? no kidding. My marshals have gone to FETCH -
and u know what that means, don't u??" Nallu shudders. She did see
the way Kutty Simbha brought those Marketing professionals!!!

Well, the members adjourn to the auditorium. Roja wants Jaz and
Netra to stay behind. They both will operate the instruments and
will be able to see the whole drama through CCTV. Netra and Jazzie
get busy -pouring through the manuals and setting up the knobs.

Well KS and Tamizhan bring the directors - oh yes, they are brought
of course - in their usual style. Thols, Thava Karthik, Vikramathithyan
and of course CR - because Roja had made a promise to Giri - Giri looks
like a cat guarding the milk pot and momentarily forgets the dance.
Karthik and Vikram are new to the attack but both Thols and CR pale
when they see tha faces "oh my God!! Ingiyaa?? atha maddie onnu
irukkume!!! enge kaanum??" Roja being the mind reader walks in
at the right moment and CR faints. Giri looks more happy.... KS
sprinkles some water and wakes CR -" hey man, it has not started
as yet??? You try this trick and next time when u faint, I sprinkle
acid on your face, got it??" Now it is karthik who pales - "enna da
villangam??? intha ammunition namba sarakku aache!!"

Well, Roja takes the podium and announces - "hello all the directors,
do not fret. This is just a game show. I am not sure if any of u watch
the show called "The moment of Truth". Here is the deal. Each of u
will be asked 5 questions and you have to answer them truthfully.
Think of this as a witness stand and think that you are under oath.
Every truthful answer will be rewarded with 500 US $, game??" The
moment money got mentioned, the directors smile. Now they decide
to play along - all of them have a mini conference -

Thols : "ennanga reel reel aa poi solli athai makkalai truth nnu namba
vaikkarom, ithu ennaga jujubi. Namba solrathu is not truth nnu epdi
theriyum??? lets be brave and accept. The money seems to be attractive"
CR is not fully convinced - he knows the group well and has first hand
info from ACD - hesitates a bit but the rest force him.
Vikram believes in details - he makes sure to make his characters
speak pages and pages of dialogues - asks Roja "how will u know
that what we say is true or false??"
Roja is no fool to divulge any info and so simply says "we just trust
you to be truthful,, period".

True to their characters, they do not think twice about the possible
traps. All agree in unison. Thols has started spending his winnings,
mentally - as he claims himself to be a meticulous planner. Roja
waits for a few minutes - hoping that at least one of them will raise
any query - but no, all of them can only hear ABBA's song
"money money money" Roja calls out for volunteers for the
questioning session. Eljay forgets her troubling knee and
jumps to confront CR. Isaitamil comes forward to take over Thols.
Ho is all set for thava karthik. and Vikram??? aww no takers for
him even here??? Finally Roja convinces Supree who reluctantly agrees.

The questions are ready, so are the interrogators and the directors....
so what are we waiting for????

Roja spells out the rules - " each of u will be interrogated
separately. The others do not get to watch. And once one
person is done, he will be isolated from the rest and so no
copying or drawing inspiration, ready??" Lots are drawn and
CR takes the chair first. The other three are herded into another
room - there are hidden cameras and so the IF ians will know
exactly what goes on there!!!

Well, about those machines in Atina's cabin, they are polygraphs
aka lie detectors. Roja did her home work well - had a chat with
Mark Walberg the anchor of the show and learnt the ropes. Mark
was really surprised to know that Roja is from the land of Mahathma
Gandhi - "that s sad, u need to pay to tell the truth??in your country??
aww" Roja had to tell him about the serials and their implications. He
was moved by the agony experienced by the Tamil serial watchers and
donated the lie detectors to Roja!!

CR takes the chair which is totally wired and connected to the

polygraph - of course CR does not know this. Eljay is thrilled by the
opportunity - she has a whole load of Qs but maddie allowed only 3!!!
Q no 1 :
Eljay: Mr.CR welcome to the forum and here we go.
1. Will all the villainous elements be punished in the end?? Abi, SKPD,
Kandhu, Srini to name a few?
CR has no clue - because he has not looked beyond the next 10 episodes!!
Starts with " u see, these mega serials, errr they have some unwritten rules"
Roja gets up and says "say either yes or no - We have had enough of your
carousel rides!" CR finally musters enough courage ans says "yes" Netra
and Jas are monitoring and exchange a nakkal smile.
2. Do u believe in what is called as "Romance?'"
CR again is lost " starts sweating - Romance??!!! Errr'..... " In serials''
Roja interrupts - "Mr.CR , we just need straight answers - Yes or NO, got it??
CR says Yes
3. Do u respect the professionals?
CR is on the verge of a heart attack - 2 reasons - one, he has to answer
and no 2 Eljay and Roja look as if they can burn him with their eyes
Finally he says -Yes
Netra and Jaz grit their teeth "liar of the first order uh huh'"
CR gets off the chair and looks for the cheque. Roja signals to KS -
"he can be removed from here"

Next t is Thava karthik
HO is boiling - she is the president of vaathanadhi Fan club and can
not tolerate the injustice done to her thanga thalaivi. Teacher amma
vera, Kekkanumaa??

Kanna karthik, vaada chellam, IF lounge kku ,u are new illiya, welcome
welcome.
1. Are u planning to make amends for all the injustice done to my vaathu??
Karthik looks undecided - " Innum another 1000 and odd episodes irukku!!
Ekta amma puthu kathai dhinam solraanga'.. epdi?" however starts
"athu vanthunga.. mega serial lam .....Na enna puthusa solla poren"
The iF ians do a collective BOOOOO - " we know that , answer mattum
please'. ." Roja cuts - yes or no - he finally says yes but does not look
convinced. Netra is all set to strangle him. Ho holds on to the handle of her
chair So that she does not dole out cane blows.
2. Do u endorse bigamy?
He is now totally shaken - very tricky!!! Either answer will expose him
but says NO.
3. Do u always lie?
Now karthik is ready to swoon - Has a pathetic look ans looks around
for support - the if ians are stony - not an expression on their faces
Finally he says NO and hurriedly follows KS - does not even look for the money.

Next comes Vikram - all set with his pages of answers - Roja is seething .
ready to do an ammanO saamiyO - she is the one who carries this vethal
solely on her shoulders. Giri pours some ice cold water and holds Roja.
A tentative Supree starts
1. Do u have a passion for crying???
Vikram does a thiru thiru first and starts "tamizh serial laam house
wives kku cater panrathukkaga .." Since Roja is in no state to interfere,
Sue cuts in - a simple yes or no is enough - he hesitantly says NO
2. The language in your serial ' do u talk like that in your own house??
Vikram looks at the floor - he recalls the way moron talks to any one
who comes across and winces - " me??? In real life?'. ummm '"
Sue just stares - he says NO. By now, priyav, Iloveserials, Taupe,
Isiatamil and other RKO followers bring out the jalli kallu they have
brought along - . KS and Sri have a tough time containing them.
Roja doles out her special mad gleam - looks like she won't stop
if they choose to throw those stones!!!
3. That QBS ' do u have any female relative like her?
Vikram is visibly embarrassed - says No.
KS removes Vikram unceremoniously.

In spite of the roaring aircons, the lounge is like a furnace. The members
are seething in anger. This guy is the most hated one in the serial
watchers world. Actually, the members do not want him to be queried
all scream in unison - punishment, punishment, punishment- Thols
pales a bit - KS and Sri come closer- in case he tries to escape

Roja with a wicked smile pacifies the members - hey u have forgotten??
This is just a game show - only rewards, no punishments- The members
look thunder struck by this statement - but Roja winks - well, well, the
lounge is so used to Roja's mad gleam, hysterical laughter and her famous
winks - they now know that the questioning part is only a facade!!!

Thols relaxes and takes the chair. Isaitamil is all set - he is right now
on the hot seat and the way Meli posts her Qs has given him a lot of clues
he can handle any one now!!!

Thols sits on the chair as if it was brought straight from the Buckingham
Palace - he has been projecting himself as a hero and unfortunately believes
that he is hero material- any lie when repeated runs the risk of getting
accepted as a truth - well, apparently!!!

Isai has a nice smile on his face - but Nallu, Meli and Netra know that
it is very deceptive. - Vaanga Thols, epdi yirukkenga??? Kelvikku polamaaa?
Thols does his usual gesture - the one he doles out to every situation and
thinks that it is good acting - wipes his head, face and neck, and hides his
eyes - Netra and Jas fume - yovvv, intha kanraavi acting ai unnaleye pakka
mudiyame, u close your eyes!!! But we have to see it on the screen almost
every day???!!!' '

1.Do u think that u are hero material???
Thols looks surprised and then happy - ada ada , intha mathiri
enlightened gumbal yennai hero nnu accept pannittangalaa? -
athu vanthunga Isai. - Nallu is ready with her ruler - yes or no -
Vani nods ominously - magane irukku da unakku- Thols answers Yes
Iisai imitates Kamal's grandson
2. Neenga nallavaraa, kettavaara??? Now Thols has no clue-
che ivanga ellam educated, difficult Qs keppanga nnu parthen,
kirukku mathiti'' ' tries to drip honey and milk from his face -
- nallavan thanga - Vani jumps - Yovv oru tharam sonna puriyaathu??
Answer must be yes or no, puriyuthaa?? ' Thols is confused - ithukku epdi
yes or no?? ' but decides to play it safe - Yes. Roja has a wicked smile and
her eyes are gleaming. Netra and Jas are giggling inside - they have figured
out the underlying meaning.
3, Do u believe in happy marriages? Thols immediately says Yes. He is
thoroughly confused but does his wiping act a few times and leaves with KS.

The IF ians are ready. Now Roja takes the podium and tells them that the
answers have been evaluated and the results will be here soon. Netra
and Jazzie bring the results

CR , Karthik and Thols lied - out and out. Vikram answered all the three right
Now it is punishment time - we have to punish Vikram as well. - Even though
he answered right - because what he does not like or have in his true life,
he makes us see.

Karthik will do a balance beam walking - under the beam there will be
3 troughs - Nitric, Sulphuric and Hydro cholric acids - he makes one slip, well''..

Ho gets up and does a dappanguthu .."amma di aatha di... vaathu kku kodumai
panninaan di..amma di aatha di acid naduve nadappandi" - Eljay joins . Giri makes
sure to contain her group dancers, they need to be fit to dance for the special song.

For Vikram, I have recorded moron's outbursts and choicest dirty language
he uses in the serial - Vikram will be tied to a chair and will hear this through a
head phone for 6 hours. But he will be paid the 1500 US $ as well - as he
answered the Qs right.

CR will be made to sit in the tora tora wheel all by himself and go for a ride -
for 6 hrs - non stop

As for Thols - we need a combined punishment. Since he thinks that he
is hero material - we need to dole out all the struggle that heroes go through
- llet us see if he can emerge as a winner - Jazz will shoot, Thols has to catch
the bullet by his mouth and save himself. We will push him in to a deep trench
- 60 feet deep, he will be given a weak rope - he has to climb and come up
- of course all of us will use hacksaw blades and cut from the top end....
If he manages to come out of that trench, then we will leave him with a hungry
tiger and he will fight with empty hands - like all heroes do,

what say??? The IF ians are happy.

The foursome are brought to the auditorium. Netra announces the results.
Vikram looks happy and the rest are unhappy. Karthik does not want to ask
for clarifications because he knows that he lied. CR has left every thing to God
- , all that he wants is to get out from here. Thols is angry - uh huh, Vaanathai
pole vallamai padaithavan naan. Na sonnathu ellam epdi thappu?? Ok ellam
pogattum, antha Nallavara kettavara Q - athile what is right or wrong, can u
explain? ' Roja smiles - u are right, both yes or no will be wrong answers
here - it is just that we wanted u to say the wrong answer - in short tricked
u , like how u do in the serial ' ippo puriyutha, sothai trick nna enna nnu??'

Ok Punishment time , lets get ready - the foursome scream - u said
that it was a game and no punishment??? Roja's mad gleam is more

Jaz, Netra, Vani and Nallu escort Thols . Eljay, Ho and Sue escort Karthik.
KS takes CR to the giant wheel. Sue and Supree hand the cheque over to
Vikram and take him in - oru china entertainment - they seat him, adorn
him with the head phone and switch on the tape. He tries to shake himself
away but no he is restrained.

All this happens in the yard - the IF ians adjourn to the yard..watch the fun -
Jaz aimes at Thos' chest .. Giri and troop dance in front of the balancing
beam - Viswanathan moolai venum!! Viswanathan moolai venum!! Karthik
is not able to concentrate on the beam. CR is screaming from top. Vikram
is all alone- listening to moron. The IF ians are rolling on the floor and
laughing. For a change Roja is quiet- but her eyes are gleaming.....

IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge

The lounge is slowly filling. Giri is back to updating Aanandam
and moves around the lounge - Navarathri celebrations are over,
eyes down to Deepavali - which is just round the corner- Madras
is under a curfew - 6 - 7 hours of power cut - Giri's boys have
given a long list for crackers - "light thaan illiye amma?? crackers
koluthi night poora velicham podalaam" - Both Giri and Mr.Giri are
silenced - such logic can not be refuted!!!

Nallu is also busy - going around sari shopping - she had a serious
voice chat with Eljay and picked her brains - Nallu is all set to
bypass Eljay's collection . Not just that. Nallu has to host Rajammah,
Netra's MIL, the new IF addition -

Rajammah has gone to Tirupathi - the reason she gave her family
" Bermuda Triangle kku antha kirukku Roja vai nambi porOm,
athaan Balaji yai vendikkalamnnu" - The real reason ..shhh Roja
was told privately and of course maddie being maddie...... Roja
has sent Kutti Simbha, Isaitamil and Tamizhan to Madras - to
round up a few subjects who will be offered as food for the Triangle.
Rajamma hates Thols and wants to personally supervise the trio -
"mudinja nambalum naalu saathu saathalaam, B.Triangle le
tholaichitta apram chance kidaikkathu"...

Netra is busy - with 3 kids and the house work - "athai ipdi
thaniya vittu ttu poittanga..hmmmm" but she is happy that
her athai has taken to the lounge like a fish to water - "my time
in IF is not in any jeopardy" - she is otherwise busy organizing
the get together and doing some updates.

Vani is very happy - she is all excited about the get together -
shopping... booking the ticket.... ironing the white skirt -
" Roja akka vai ner lle partha yethanum solvanga, coffee yai
skirt le kottikkame kudikkanum" - whenever there is some
free time, she is seen with a cup near her lip!!!

Eljay is ready with her swim suit - she is happy that maddie
chose to wait for her to get back - Her sons and Mr.Eljay can
not take it any more - "IF lounge... mad Roja... laughing in front of the PC...
enna da kodumai ithu??? Ippo B.Triangle?? hmmm" Eljay cares
two hoots - "B.Triangle le oru swim nichiyam... rope ai gettiya
pidichikka yarai nambalaam?? I will bribe someone ..a good sari
from my collection..."

Jas is absconding - she needed a break - she got tired of
tourists wanting to visit her "Supramani and Mayilu" - she
manged to hang an "under renovation" board in front of
them and scooted - Delhi council reported that the number of
tourists to the capital has gone down by 50% - all want to visit
only after the renovation gets over!!!

Sue is busy - getting ready for the Saturday meet - she has
not been sleeping well - "need to decide on my gold, can not show
Roja every thing... if any of the others share my interest... may be
we can take a dash to Habib in KLCC...."

Ho is vexed - "intha Roja vai nalla Othaikkanum. She named
my dusky beauty Vaathanandhi... cursed that she will never
become a swan.... uh huh... now she is likely to be replaced!!!
Hope the trip includes Thava. Karthik .... can I ask maddie to include
EK?? and her whole story department??"

Kadhu is all excited She managed to convince Roja to let her
go with Rajammah - Has a hidden agenda - had a secret meeting
with Isai and managed to add to the cargo list..... not that Roja
would have minded.. more the merrier is maddie's policy!!!

Giri and Roja are busy - mumbling non stop ... doing 10 things
at the same time... getting flight PAR 172 ready ... they did manage
to convert it in to a cruise ship - food is stocked.... Thanks to
Rajammah, lots of naruk murukks on board - Klang and its
neighbor hood is still breathing the hot oil fumes!!!

Well, the IF ians are ready for the trip.... vidu joot.....

The IF ians are all well settled inside their vessel -
PAR 172 which is designed by none other that THE
James Bond himself . Isai, Sri and Kutty Simbha
have brought the cargo on board. The serial "Pullers"
are all packed inside the container - but for some
breathing holes, the container is all dark and humid.
Rajammah is so mad with Thols that she wanted to
seal the container totally - "apdiye moochu muttattum Roja
ponnu, avan thollai thaangalai..." Roja pacified her saying
" u must have the pleasure of drowning him in BT - let him
be alive and let him know what suffering is, ok?" Rajammah
is not fully convinced but agrees... half heartedly

Maddie has fixed cameras inside the container - just so the IF
ians can see how the serial world behaves when cooped up
together - of course they do not know that they are being watched!!!
There is a 46 inches LCD screen in the parlor - the IF ians can watch
the fun, eat, drink dance.... are free to do any thing they want to !!!

The luxury ship starts sailing - and finally the IF ans are ready for
their sojourn. Well, inside the container, Thols boasts - trying to
project himself as a hero, he now BELIEVES that he is a hero -
tells his cell mates - "onnum prachanai illai, inge intha gumbal
le yen aalu konjam irukku..." Thava.karthik nondhufies his vithi -
"che intha aalu samarthiyam namkku illame pOche!!! antha teacher
amma vai konjam kanakku panni support thedi yirukkanum. Intha
serial ai vidaame avanga thaan follow panraanga" Outside in the
parlor, the otherwise silent and docile Hosanna is rolling on the floor
and laughing "ayyo da , unakkku apdi vera oru aasaiyaa??? unnai BT
le amutha pOrathe naan thaan daa"

CR is not ready to believe Thols - he knows very well that both Eljay
and Giri have been gunning at him -"sari namakku vithi mudiyuthu
hmmm ok, do u guys know where we are going?? how many days??
when are we likely to get back?? artist dates ellam apidye nikkumaa??"

Thols calls for attention - "yen aalunga nnu sonnene, epdi nnu kekka
maatingalaa?? CR neenga kelunga.....Karthik, neenga kelumgalen...
Vikram neengalavathu kelungalen...." goes on like Karunas of Pollathavan...
. no takers and so Thols decides to spill the beans.. "see some here are
my yahoo messenger friends ...when I chat them at nights, I take off my
azhukku yellow shirt and pose like Don Juan.. enakku oru rasigar kOOttame
irukkunga inge...." Vikram has had enough... "yovv ,mOOttai mOottaiya
pulugare.... rasigar koottama... ada poyya..."

Outside maddie rolls her eyes in all directions..wanting to catch the
messenger culprit - all the insomniacs raise their hands ...."akka
apdi yellam pakkathinga..... naanga yaarum illai..." Nallu, Netra,
Kadhu and Vani have a conference -"yaar athu?? Thols kku rasigar aa??"

Selvi is busy - writing some thing... CR is in admiration mode -"ada ada..
.intha darkness le intha amma yenna thaan ezhuthuvaanga??
Ipdi darkness dialog ezhuthi oru vazhi panranga pole...hmmm
If i get out of this trouble all in one piece, i might try this trick..."
Musters enough courage to approach Selvi and asks her " how do
u manage to write in this darkness?? and what are u writing??"
Selvi gets up, stands under a breathing hole so that a small ray of
light falls on her face ...she is so used to being the central character
that she wants that little light to fall only on her..." light or dark..does
it matter??? In my serials, I am the only one who counts...so I know
what needs to be said..." CR and Vikram are floored by that and
retreat to a corner......

Thols throws some curious looks at Selvi and goes near her..
Selvi is quick to stop any advances ..." yenna venum??? copy
adikka vanthittingalaa??? get lost... when I am around, I do not
like any one talking or taking the center stage, understand???
get the hell out of my corner..." Thava karthik is in tears ..- "why
did I spray acid on Vaathanandhi's face??? I made one wrong
move and look where I am??"

Outside in the parlor, a phone is shrilling.... Maddie picks it up,
hears the other end.... her gleam gets more pronounced...
looks around and catches Isaitamil.... he is avoiding maddie
but no.... she goes near him and demands to see his credit card
Isai has no clue as to why she would inspect his credit card but
hands it.... she has one look at it smiles.... aww noo, that can not
be classified as a smile.... points out some thing to Isai on the card
and he slaps on his forehead.... " ayyo madam, pakkave illiye naan!!!
Container kku, I paid only by this!!!" Maddie doles out another gleam
and goes back to the phone..some hush talk... and the phone gets banged...
Isai runs to Netra...."akka aaaa" Now it is Netra's turn to show her wicked
smile... Isai makes a mental note to return the favor... "neenga mattum maatame
poidu vingalaa??? irkkattum irukkattum..."

Meli is busy on the phone ..she needs a new goat for Diwali MOTW-
She would have loved to rope in Vinod but Vinod is busy hiding
from Netra - "I am questioned at home, pothathaa?? Forum le
vera Netra Qs kku bathil sollavaa??? aalai vidunga saamiyovv"
Meli is pinning her hope on Jas ...... who will be back in action after Diwali...

Caryn and Kaarthi are drunk.... naw naw.... Karthi drinks.... Caryn
just smells it and gets drunk.... Kaarthi is rushing to maddie -
"u promised plum brandy... Drambule...." Roja directs her to the
well stocked bar... Karthi is happy....

The ship is moving.... IF ians are enjoying the cool sea breeze..
Eljay is in a swim suit..has a bath robe.... wants to swim only in
BT and nowhere else...... she was warned about whales and
sharks but she just smiled back... "if only you had my luxury..
U live near and tolerate Roja...sharks and whales are friendly neighbors.."
ship is sailing towards the great Bermuda Triangle.....

PAR 172 is sailing along gracefully - the lulling effect is so good
that the IF ians are all in deep slumber. The helicoptor whirrss and
the dock receives it with a thud ' yes maddie is back!!! Both Isai
and Tamizhan heave a sigh - Netra runs to the top deck to receive
maddie. Isai mumbles some thing in to Meli's ears - Giri does some
lip reading and gets the message - " we never had this much difficulty
to round up all the serial world people, getting maddie out and bringing

her back to the ship was a monumental task- uzzzz habbbaaa"

Both Eljay and Rajammah have their weapons ready - " u just left us In
the high seas and absconded??!!! Did u have plans of sinking the whole
ship in Bermuda triangle??' Maddie has one of her so called apologetic
smiles which does not spell "apology" - even remotely!!! Sue waves the
white flag " OK OK , now that she is here " well, while maddie was away
both Eljay and Sue had some clandestine meetings and have arrived at
an agreement. When Eljay goes swimming in the BT, Sue will hold the
life rope - real tight so that Eljay feels safe - in return, Eljay will go as deep
as possible and look for the ships which sank with a lot of gold in them.
Whatever Eljay retrieves from those ships, she has agreed to share
50 /50 with Sue.

Ho is angry with maddie as well - she had plans of going back home in 2 days
and seeing her students - she even has a speech ready - the one she plans to
tell her students about BT - she called home and found out that her students
are restless with out her!! some wanted to lodge a police complaint and Bishop
had a tough time convincing them that Ho went for this trip voluntarily !!!

As for the people in the container, they have no clue as to where they are
and whether they will be out in one piece!!! Selvi is almost done with her
new serial, She is thinking about bank loans, director etc.,etc., Thols is
sulking that he did not get to eat the Shasti apthapoorthi (SP) meal - Abi
did not invite him but he planned to sneak throught he back door - straight
to the kitchen!!! He does not know if the SP took place at all or not!!! Karthik
has no clue about the new vaathu - looks like the vaathu fan club has some
reservations about the new duck - no one seems to like the quack quack!!!
Magal director is sitting in one corner - all sad - because he was a last
minute addition as Netra wanted him to be drowned in BT - he was surprised
that some one still watches his serial ' what he does not know is that both
Netra nad Atina have to update his paadavathi serial for the sake of archives
in IF !!! CR is dejected - he tried to con the viewers saying that Indhu comes
to know that baggage is not her real father - what he does not know is that
the viewers have an elephantine memory - they have not forgotten that Indhu
had to have psychiatric counseling from one of those urupadatha psychiatrist
about how she thought that baggage killed her original father!!! Vikram
nondhufies his vithi " ayyoo, I tried to show that Loosu is pregnant and made
her enact a drama about the kid being the photo copy of Danda!!! .hmmm"

Well, every one is lost in their thoughts.... in a world of their own ..
The ship reaches the great Bermuda Triangle. Eljay quickly disrobes ..
Giri is all set to dump CR ..Rajammah is livid with anger, she can not
wait to sink Thols... " izhuthu izhuthu kolaiya panre.....iu da iru.." Netra
is looking for the weakest rope - sings.."pappuuu... Pappu.... thanni kulle
thalli unnai kolla poren da pappuu pappuu" Nallu is assisting every one ..
Kadhu checks with Isai "antha school pasanga serial characters ellam
thallittu vanthiya?? Ore muzukku, ok?" Isai, Tamizhan and Kutty Simbha
run to the container..to release the human cargo..... Selvi shouts.."yaar
athu?? ethukku aluviranga?? when I am here no one does any thing..
ellame nan thaan..." Roja has a wicked smile "athukku enna?? you can lead.."

Ho is looking for a strong rope - "intha Karthik payyanai summa
sink panna koodathu.... nalla tease panna apram thaan... ayyo paavi,
ennoda vaathai epdi yellam paduthine?? Intha Roja vera ....swan
aaga maatta nna adichi sonna...u made that come true.... vaa da vaa"

The serial world is lined up.... Selvi is still writing.... Thols is calling Abhi
" ennai vanthu kaapaathunga.....na unga friend thaane.." Abi is busy
placating her dysfunctional family... does not hear the cry of her friend.....

The IF ians are ready with the ropes. Serial world gets tied to the ropes...
each IF ian gets a vantage point ..... Maddie has the whistle ready and jumps
on to the temporary podium ... "Ok my dear fellow IF ians, today is a great day
in the history of the world. America made history by electing an African American
as their 44 th president. We are all lucky to watch history being made - the future
generation would be reading it from the books but we witnessed it. And, today
is the day when all these Tamil serial imsaigal will be drowned in the great BT -
which again is history and we can be proud that it is we who are creating it -
call it another "freedom fight" - by drowning all these trash in to BT we are
paving way for a cleaner , softer, peaceful world. At this point we need to
apologize to the great Bermuda Triangle for polluting it - Sorry BT, we have
no other option....once the whistle is blown, you all can do the honors....."
Maddies blows the whistle..

Eljay jumps in...Sue holds the rope and dreams of all the gold that Eljay
will bring.... Rajammah dips a screaming Thols.. "ayyo intha alangolangal
ai izhuthu moodi daren, vittutungaa..." Rajammah laughs like P.S.Veerappa
" vidarathaa?? unnaiyaa? never..."

Giri and Vsur are playing with the CR rope - Vsur says "Giri , 100 baklava bet..
u will not sink CR first... some other IF ian will beat you... Giri grits her teeth
"Vsurrr.... do not underestimate me, ok?" Kadhu and Nallu are busy with the
student serial characters " school children mathiriya irukkenga???
thiruttu pasangalaa..." Vani runs around and serves drinks "hey, tired
aagi rope ai miss pannida theenga... I will keep you all in good spirits
with nice energy drinks.." Karthi hears that and charges towards Vani
"spirits?? energy??" awww Vani, u are a sweet heart.."

The IF ians are enjoying the puppet show..various puppets hanging from
the ropes... getting dipped...drawn back ..only to be dipped again... serial
world screams..... for a change... the IF ians are laughing..... Bermuda
Triangle waits for PAR 172 to leave safely... BT gets ready for a tsunami..........

IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge

There is a general lull in the air - The Tamil serials are
going south and the fans are totally vexed - so whats new??
Giri and Eljay are sitting in one corner - surrounded by
Caryn, Dee, Shylock, Janu, Bon and a few others - the meticulous
planning for ACD/Priya marriage also went south - They are
now married and the Aanandam crowd does not even know
if it was all a dream!!!! If ever Mr.Freedom got caught in any
one hand - kOthu parOtta thaan!!!

Inspite of the disappointment Jagdu seems happy - he is playing
cricket in another corner - has visions of him being Sachin -
Begs some one to bowl - Eljay has that look - If looks could burn
kind - nothing fazes Jagdu - 1st test victory against England has
given him an euphoria!!!

Isaitamil is in his own world - "Aaanandam mudinjidum pole irukku!!
Alangolangal gathi enna??? Update panna kashtamaa
irukku" Netra throws some side long glances at him - "face
sariyaave illiye??? Updates kudukkame joot vida plan panraanO??"
Isai avoids looking at Netra.

Nallu is holding Giri - she does not watch Aanandam but she
has to keep a watch anyways on that thread. Giri needs tissue
supply and Nallu happily provides - to Eljay as well.

Aish and smlaksh are wonder struck - How can any one be so
unhappy about not attending a serial wedding?? - well they do
not know that the Aanandam viewers have been going through
the ordeal for over 4 years only for this one wedding and some
romance from azhumoonji Priya and kadu kadu ACD!!!

Ho is missing - she has gone on a long vacation - family
commitments. Sue is also not very regular. New
vaathu searching for darling MIL is unsagikkable for Sue.
Vani is also in one corner - "CK inimel ezhutha maatangalaa
Roja akka?? hmmm"

Well, maddie is back in HQ - it is just a question of time - oh yes,
the door bangs - typical maddie bang..... there she is vichuk vichuks
and looks around - serene lounge??? uh huh can not
tolerate...... has that mad gleam - her eyes are madder now -
after that surgery........ well whats up???????
