"You..? he said not able to conceal his disappointment ."Are you waiting for someone else?" Abhi said with a mischievous expression on his face knowing perfectly whom Raj was expecting to see.

"No, no .It's just that i did not expect you this early in morning."Raj said quickly trying to hide his feelings before he embrassed himself.

Abhi grinned."It's already 9.00AM.I think you did not sleep well at night. Anyway, I came here to inform you that BC wanted to meet you in an hour.so, get ready quickly" and he left humming a cheerful tune.

"oh god! How did I slept for so long?" he quickly grabbed his clothes and went to shower and got ready quickly and went to canteen.As he was late, the cadets have already completed their breakfast and there was nobody in the canteen .

suriji smiled affectionately at him and went to bring brekfast for him.Raj was sitting in a chair thinking about something when a plate full of break-fast was placed infront of him.

"Thanks suriji" he said with-out looking at the person infront of him. when he heard a giggle, he saw naina infront of him ,smiling.

He was pleasantly surprised."Naina! what are you doing here? Don't you have your classes?"

"we are having exams in two weeks.we don't have classes. They gave time for us to study.I did not have my breakfast yet.Seeing you here,I brought it for both of us from suriji."
she did not tell him that she skipped breakfast with her friends waiting for him in the canteen since morning.

she placed her plate infront of him and sat there.They were just about to talk when somebody rushed into the canteen.

"Good morning sir" Huda & pooja wished cheerfully in union occupying chairs beside him.They were so happy & excited to see him and chatted with him animatedly leaving naina silent. He talked with them and left for meeting BC not before giving an apologetic look to naina.

naina heaved a sigh thinking that her day was not that lucky today. she got ready to meet him in the early morning.when she was about to go, pooja has arrived and she stayed with her friend not having the heart to leave her so soon when she met her after so many days. Then, she waited in canteen and when she finally met him, there was no luck.

she talked absent-mindedly with huda & pooja thinking about him.In the afternoon, there was a ceremony for the promotion of Raj.When he was honoured , he coud not miss the happiness and pride in her eyes.Finally, he was major and BC congratulated him. Raj & naina remebered the same thing- when he lost his honour in the same place.Both looked at each other's eyes passing the strength and assurance at the same time.

In the evening,he did not see her anywhere and when he met pooja, he asked about naina. she informed that naina went outside.

Raj thought it would be better if he went out for a while. He drove to Ambala and shopped for some essential items. when he was about to return, it started to rain.

He was driving when he saw someone walking on the side of road .His eyes recognized her instantly- she was naina.she was drenched badly. He stopped the jeep."naina ! get into the jeep quickly" she was surprised to see him there and got into the jeep.

"what are you doing here walking like that in the rain?" he questioned her, concern evident in his eyes.

"I went to temple and when I was on the way back, it started raining." she said.He was driving carefully not able to see the road clearly because of the heavy rainfall. she moved a bit closer to him as rain was hitting badly from the side of the jeep.Her wet dupatta was touching his hand.she looked so beautiful in her pink salwar with her wet hair and lovely eyes.

He was getting so much distracted that he thought it is better to stop driving.He parked the jeep near a empty shelter on the roadside.Both of them went under the shelter and sat on the bench there."I think it is better to wait for a while.It is not safe to drive now" he informed her. she nodded silently watching the rain outside.

It was so chilling and the streetlight also went off. They were surrounded by semi-darkness.Both were waiting for the others to start an conversation.

He placed his hand on the bench where it accidentally touched hers.He tried to remove it when she took hold of it completely surprising him.

Part 5:

Raj was completely surprised and stared at her in awe.she took hold of his hand and stared at him.Both looked into each others eyes. He could see the love reflecting in her eyes. The noise of thunder made him come back to his senses. He tried to pull back his hand gently but she held it firmly. Her eyes had a mix of challenge and mischievousness in them."Naina! what r u doing?" he asked her this time trying to not look into her eyes.

"What am I doing? I need to do this" she replied back. "What " he asked her truly confused.

She showed him the edge of her dupatta that was stuck in his watch and slowly removed it and left his hand smiling. Raj was embrassed as hell cursing himself for behaving so stupid.

"what did u think ?" she asked him innocently. "Nothing. Leave that…" he said. "so, how is ur preparation for exams going on?" he asked quickly trying to change the topic.

She looked at him in disbelief. He surely know how to kill special moments. In such a romantic weather, how could anybody talk like this? Can't he tell that he loves me? Oh God! Of all the people in the world, how did I fell in love with him? Can't I find someone better than him? "As soon as the thought entered her mind, a slight smile played on her lips."Of course! She could not find even if she searched the entire world. She did not even need to. He was perfect for her in every way. She can't think about anyone else in his place even for a moment. She just needs to put a little effort to make him confess"

"Naina ..?"

"Huh! My studies! Ya ! I am doing well"

she started thinking deeply while Raj wondered what happened to her suddenly."common naina! Think! This is the moment u waited for so long. Make him confess somehow or should I confess first? What would he think about me? She remembered the romantic novels she read during her college days. No, everytime, it's the boy who proposes. Moreover, I feel shy to say it directly. I can't do it. Think..Think…the ring of her mobile interrupted her thoughts.

She used it only when she was out of KMA. She saw the number. It was pooja. Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind. "Hello! If u keep on repeating that, I will not come to home after the exams. No, u listen to me. ….Okay…. I will think about it. Bye.."

Pooja did not understand what naina was talking and thought that may be there was some problem and decided to ask naina afterwards.

Naina sighed dramatically and Raj asked her what happened."Leave it sir. Why do u care?"

"Naina ! common tell me! U shared ur problems with me always. What happened now?"

"It's my mother on the phone. She wants me to accept a marriage proposal and get settled in life. Actually his father and my father were friend during their college days and then, their family were settled in America. Recently, they returned to India and when they met here, they asked for my hand and since then, my mother is trying to convince me to agree to this proposal. She wants me to meet him after my exams. He went to America for further education and returned recently. I saw his photo .He was good-looking and I talked to him yesterday on phone. He was really friendly and polite. But how can I accept someone I don't even know properly as my life partner? I think I should consider meeting him once. May be, he is the one for me. What do u think sir?" she asked him.

Raj looked at her in complete shock. "what the hell was she saying..? After everything that happened, she wants to marry some idiot and leave him? She can't do this . I can't lose her again. No, I can't let this happen. Common Raj! U go on thinking and soon, u will receive her wedding card. U need to confess to her . Right now"

"Naina ! u can't do this" he said finally.

"I know that I am being unfair to Huda but trust me, now we are just friends. He proposed to sameera recently and she accepted it. So, there is no problem." She said trying to hide the mischief in her eyes.

Raj could not bear anymore. "Just shutup. Listen to me carefully. "

She stared at him silently. Raj sighed and took hold of her hand and touched her cheek gently with one hand. "Naina! Will u …he paused for a moment and gathering the courage, finally asked her" Naina! Will u marry me?" his eyes shining with love and hope.

"My God! Did he just say that? Am I dreaming?" she wondered and said " could u please repeat it?"

"You heard it right naina. Will u marry me? " he asked her once more and her eyes were filled with tears. He was unsure about her reaction and when he started removing his hand from her slowly, she held it back , pressing his palm to her cheek and in a swift motion, hugged him tightly, with her face pressing onto his chest.

He rocked her to and froth gently for some time and he could hear her mumbling something but could not understand it. He lifted her head gently and asked her" what are u saying? "

"I said yes" she answered smiling at him.
