Part 7:
Recap: they switch there suitcases and he ask her if shes married. She says no and that shes single
R: that's nice. Anyways I have to go now. Bye
K: bye
She shuts the door after he leaves and sits on the bed thinking about what she said
K: Oh my God, why did I say that. But I couldn't let him know that I was married. He would never look at me like that again. Oh well not like i'm going to ever see him again.
She sighs with disappointment and gets up to get dressed
She opens her suitcase and on top of her clothes theirs a Red rose, with a note
She picks it up and reads it:
Dear Kanya.
Sorry about taking your suitcase.
Love Ranbir
Kanya just took the rose and put it to her heart
K: he's so sweet.
She thinks about him for a bit but then sees the clock and its 6:50
K: only 10 minutes left!
She quickly picks out a pink blouse with a pencil skirt and gets dressed. She takes out a pearl necklace and small pearl earrings. She quickly combs her hair and re applies her lip gloss
K: perfect
Kanya grabs the file that she was suppose to read and leaves her room. In the elevator she meets Shanaya
S: hey hun you look gorgeous
K: Thanks you do too
S: thanks! Did you read the file
K: No I didn't get a chance to
S: what are you serious! Well its okay. I'm sure you'll pick up on it fast
K: yeah hopefully
Kanya looks over at Shanaya and shes smiling like crazy
K: shanaya why are you so happy
S: do I really looked a bit too happy
K: whats going on
S: okay. You know how we're meeting the Nanda's today
K: yeah. So
S: well I met one of them downstairs and I think i'm in love
K:what
S: yeah. He's so tall and handsome. And his smile is a killer.
K: oh shanaya you can't be serious
S: I am. I already talked to him. His names Aditya and he's the cousin of Ran…
The elevator door opens and they step out.
K: so wheres the party at?
S: um its at the main hall. Oh I see a sign lets go there
They enter the main hall and it's filled with people. The lights are kind of dim and its decorated very exquisitely.
K: shanaya! Everyone's kind of dressed up here
S: I never knew. I'm sorry. I feel like such an idiot
K: You know what, its okay. We're here strictly for business and that's what we're going to do
S: kanya theres a dance floor here too. We're gonna have so much fun. I wonder where Aditya is?
K: Shanaya! (she smiles) actually you've been working hard. Enjoy yourself today
S: I will! But what about you?
K:what do you mean?
S: I can't leave you alone
K: yes you can. Don't worry about me
S: okay I'm just going to go and find him and bring him back here
K: alright
S: but don't move from here or I won't be able to find you
K: shanaya if you can't find me just call my cell
S: oh yeah. I'm getting nervous. It's like that teenager feeling. Like when your heart does flip flops and basically sinks down
Kanya remembers having this feeling. But not for Ayan. For ranbir!
K: okay go now! I'm going to get a drink and talk to some people
Shanaya leaves to go find Aditya, while Kanya stands with some people from her office that also came.
She looks around and she never felt so lonely in her life
K: what the hell was I thinking about coming here? This is no business party. Its just for young and single people to meet each other and enjoy
She excuses herself from her collegues and is leaving the main hall.
But someone grabs her arm. She tugs at it so the person can let go but they don't
She turns around and without looking at the person she says: excuse me, what the hell do you think…
It was none other than Ranbir
K: OMG Ranbir? You here
Shes glowing with happiness. Shes so excited that she has to hold herself back from hugging him. But she really just wants to fall into his arms
R: yeah I was suppose to have a meeting but it got cancelled. So I had to come here. What about you?
K: same I was suppose to meet some business partners but this turned out to be a party
R: and you don't like parties?
K: I do. Its just that I don't know anyone here. Just some people from my office and that's it
He comes close to her and puts his arm around her waist: well you know me now. Lets go in
He leads her in and they go and stand by some other people
R: so kanya what do you do?
Kanya tells him about her office and how she worked so hard to reach the position she is at now in such a short time
While shes talking he can't take his eyes off her. She looks like an angel. So pure. So beautiful and tender. And her lips look so soft
He snaps out of it and realizes that her office is the people he's suppose to meet. He decides to play around with her
R: so kanya, theres so many big business groups here, who were you suppose to meet?
K: Oh I'm sure you've probably heard of them. The Nanda's.
R: yeah I've heard of them.
K: well who hasn't. I heard the CEO is the biggest jerk. He's so straight forward with everything he does. My friend Shanaya has met him before and she said he is strictly into his business and if anyone messes up he'll kill them
Ranbir just laughs because shes talking about him
R: oh really. What else have you heard about him?
K: not much. But what surprised me was his age. I thought he would be some old man but shanaya said he was young and good looking
R: so are you interested in him?
K: I've never met him yet. But I don't like guys with attitude. Yeah attitude can be hot at times but too much is just annoying and not what I want
R: so what kind of guy do you want?
K: well I want someone like….
She stops realizing what shes saying. She can't forget shes married. She supposedly has already married her ideal guy
K: you want to get something to drink?
R: sure
They walk over to the bar and get some drinks
R: so tell me what else you think about the Nanda's?
K: hmm well I know that there really picky with who they do business with. So I find myself very lucky to have a chance to work with them
They talk for another 10 minutes and Ranbir just keeps asking her more questions. From inside he's laughing at how innocent she is and how cute
K: theres my friend. Shanaya come here!
Shanaya walks over and with her is a tall and handsome guy
S: kanya this is aditya Nanda. And aditya this is my friend kanya
K: hi
A: hello
(By the way Aditya is played by someone else? Harshad Chopra..the new guy Prem in Kis Desh mein dil mera)
K: oh Shanaya I want you to meet my friend Ranbir. Ranbir this is SHanaya
Shanaya looks at Ranbir and her mouth drops open
R: Hi Shanaya. Its nice meeting you again
K thinking: again?
S: Hi Ranbir
Aditya is just laughing and so is Ranbir
K whispers: Shanaya, how do you know Ranbir?
S : that's Ranbir NANDA! The guy I met before. Aditya's cousin
Kanya turned bright pink and her eyes were wide open. She felt like someone had just slapped some sense into her
K: Oh my God. Are you serious?
She turned towards Ranbir and him and Aditya could not stop laughing
She gave a weak smile: I'm such an idiot she thought
R: So Ms. Kanya, what were you saying about the Nanda's?
Kanya felt so embarrassed. She didn't know what to do so she turned around and just ran out of the hall
R: Kanya!
She heard him calling after her but she kept on running. While she was running she was actually just laughing at herself.
The hotel was empty now because it was late at night and either everyone was in their rooms or at the party.
She was about to get in the elevator when a hand stopped the elevator
It was Ranbir and he was out of breath
R: damn you run so fast
K: I'm so sorry Ranbir. I mean Sir. I didn't mean all that stuff I was saying. I was just being stupid. I really didn't mean it. I'm soo sorry. I really…
He stopped her by putting his finger on her lips
He leaned in close to her. So close that she could feel his heartbeats and he could feel hers
Ranbir quietly and seductively whispered: shh its okay. I like a girl that can speak her mind. And don't worry none of that will affect our work
Kanya was just frozen. She wanted him to kiss her. But would that be right?
Instead he took her hand and lead her back to the party. She didn't say anything or stop him. She just followed behind him and let him lead her onto the dance floor.
She was surprised that he danced so good and he kept his eyes on her the whole time with his hands around her waist
They danced to a few songs and then left
R: I hope you had fun tonight
K: I really did. Thanks
They went out to the lobby and sat by the fountain. It was empty and really quiet
Kanya thought about how she was dancing with him and how she was so comfortable with him before. And now she couldn't even look at him
He slowly put his hand on hers. But then moved it
R: umm its nice out here
K: yeah
R: so you want to go outside for a walk
K: sure
She thought that it would be better than sitting in there alone. But outside was soo nice and romantic. There were flowers everywhere and no one was outside. They went and sat on a bench
K: you know your 2 totally different people
R smirked: I know. You said that before
K: your one of a kind. Theres no one in this world like you
R: and theres no one like you either. You were so stressed about this business meeting like a professional and then danced . wow your dance!
He put his hand on his heart and pretended to faint.
K: Ranbir!
She lightly started to hit him on his arm and he ran away. She began to chase him
K: ranbir stop!
R: nope. Catch me if you want me
They ran around like two little kids. Laughing and screaming. It started to rain a lot but it didn't stop them. Instead they enjoyed the rain
Ranbir purposely slowed down so kanya could catch him. When she got near him, he picked her up and swung her around.
Kanya felt like a queen in his arms. She never wanted to be put down again.
But slowly he brought her back down in his arms and when there faces were at level. He leaned into kiss her.
She closed her eye. She could feel his lips getting closer and closer. So close that they were practically touching…..
Ring..Ring…
Kanya's eyes shot open and she looked down. Her phone in her pocket was ringing.
Ranbir backed off and put her down
She fixed her skirt and then answered her phone
K: hello?
S: kanya where are you.
K: oh shanaya. I'm just. I'm around
S: okay come to my room. A few other girls from our office are here and we're gonna watch some movies and do our nails and stuff.
K: okay I'm coming
S: where are you?
K: I'm just outside…. Getting some fresh air
S: your alone right?
Kanya glanced up at Ranbir
K: yeah I'm alone. I'll be there in a bit
She put her phone away and looked up at Ranbir. He took off his coat and draped it around her
K: thanks
She didn't know what else to say. Should she say sorry because her phone killed the moment or should she just act like it was nothing
R: no problem. Lets go in now
They walked into the hotel, which was still empty. They went into the elevator and didn't say a word to each other.
Kanya just kept on looking down
When the elevator got to the 20th floor she stepped out.
K: Bye ranbir. Good night
R: yeah good night
He took her hand and just kissed it
R: I'll see you tomorrow at the meeting
And with that the elevator door shut.
Kanya just stood there for a bit. Remembering each and every moment she spent with him. It was beautiful and cherishing.
After a bit she went to Shanaya's room. When she got there, they all questioned her about the coat that was on her shoulders.
She ignored everyone and said that she wasn't feeling well and she was just going to go to her room and sleep.
She said bye to everyone and left. Shanaya followed her out and whispered: you have to tell me about it all tomorrow!!
Kanya walked back to her room smiling
