Part 5:

As the plane landed she remembered the last time she was on a plane….it was with Ayan

They had gone for there honeymoon in Goa. He was so sweet and they were so in love

She always wondered what happened between them. Was it her fault? She always blamed him but from inside she knew it was both of them. They both just gave up at the marriage. Everyone was right about the fact that they were too young to get married. She always thought she was mature and could handle it but the truth was that she was still a kid at heart and mind. And Ayan, he acted all mature infront of people but he was even worse than her. So immature and never realized his responsibility after marriage.

She looked over at the Aunty next to her. She was whispering something to her husband across the aisle and were both laughing.

K thinking: oh how I wish to have someone like that with me (her eyes got teary) what if me and Ayan never get better again? What if it just gets worse and worse from now on….No! I won't let it and I will make sure we're in love like before

The plane lands and everyone starts boarding off the plane. As soon as she gathers her luggage she waits outside for a taxi. While waiting, she decides to call Ayan

Ayan: hello?

K: Hi

A: who is this?

K: its kanya

A: oh you, what is it?

K: I've reached Delhi. My plane just landed

A: kanya sweetheart, when a plane takes off it must land somewhere and yes yours has landed too. In Delhi!

He starts laughing and she can tell theres more people in the back all laughing at her.

K: Ayan! Anyways I'm not sure when I'll be back because I was just informed that we have a conference here too

He doesn't say anything

K: so umm do you need anything from Delhi?

Ayans not even listening to her but talking to the people there: yeah the foods in there… no…okay….get that….forget it man…..yeah lets just go…eat out….sounds good

He finally comes back to her: why the hell don't you ever do the grocery? You idiot, you know how embarrassed I am now because of you!

And with that he hangs up on her

Kanya never felt so alone and miserable. Her eyes were all watery and her knees were trembling. She looked around but everything was just blurry.

She finally located a bench and dragged her suitcase there and sat down

After crying for about 10 minutes she decided she can't carry on like this. If she becomes weak at every moment she'll never be able to fix things with Ayan

K: I have to be strong

She wipes her tears and goes back into the airport to the washroom the fix herself up

When she comes out the airport terminal is empty
K: oh shit all the taxi's must have come and gone by now! I won't be able to find anything to get to the hotel

When she gets outside again she sees one taxi left standing. The taxi drivers a young guy.

K: umm excuse me. Please put my luggage in

C: yes mam

She looks at his name tag and it says "Chunnu"

She giggles a little at his name: Chunnu? What a weird name

C: did you say something?

K smiles: no no lets just go now. Marriot Hotel please
Shes about to open the door when someones hand appears there. It prevents her from opening the door.

R: Excuse me Mr.CHunnu! trying to be smart? You already have my suitcase in there and I already paid you and now your taking someone else?

C: oh Sir. I forgot about you

R: I'm going to kill my staff for not sending my car. Anyways excuse me Miss

Kanya looks at him and its none other than Ranbir

R: oh so its you again. ( he smirks remembering there last encounter in the plane) Listen I don't have time to fight I really need to leave. Come on Mr. Chunnu. Marriot Hotel

C: that's where Madam is going too. Come Mam, we can drop you too

K: no its okay. I'll just wait

C: Mam, no taxi is going to come here for a while. Just sit in the taxi already. Plus your suitcase is already in the back

K: no its okay

R: yeah its really okay. Come on chunnu lets go

Then Chunnu kind of just pushes kanya into the car.

C: Come on Sir , we're getting late. Get in

R: these taxi drivers be nah, there too much

Ranbir gets in the car and sits down next to kanya

K: I'm really sorry about sharing the taxi. Its just that stupid driver

R: its okay. That's quite a coincidence we're at the same hotel

C: no Sir its not a coincidence because its one of the biggest hotels in Delhi

R: oye Chunnu kay bache! Look ahead and drive and stop listening to our conversation

Kanya laughs as Chunnu sinks into his seat and concentrates on driving


Kanya is just staring out the window. Taking in the beautiful scenery. The big buildings and shopping malls. She hadn't been to Delhi in so long that so many things had changed.

She looked over at Ranbir and he was just on the phone talking. Actually more like yelling

R: No I said that had to be done for today…you guys can't do anything right…. No I'll be there soon…you idiots forgot to send a car so I'm in a taxi with…(he looks over at Kanya and she realizes shes just staring at him and quickly turns her face the other way)..I'll be there soon. Bye!

R: I don't bite

K: excuse me

R: I mean you don't have to sit so far

K smiles: so you're here for business

R: no I'm here to get married

K: oh. Well who's the girl? I have to let her know what she's getting herself into

Kanya starts laughing

R: yeah yeah laugh all you want. By the way I was just joking about getting married. I'm here strictly for business

K: your like two totally different people. Sometimes the biggest flirt and so sweet and then the way you were on the phone

R: Eaves dropping on peoples conversations is a bad habit

K: but its hard to ignore the conversation when your only a few inches away from me and yelling like your about to kill the poor person on the other line

R: Listen ms. Whatever your name was. Yes Kiran. Mind your own business

And with that he goes back on the phone. But this time he's more quiet and calm

R thinking: what affect is this girl having on me? Why do I care what she says and why do I feel the need to impress her. Snap out of it Ranbir! You're here strictly for business and stay away from these stupid girls. You know what happened last time

K thinking: why do I feel so hurt that he forgot my name? Anyways who am I to him that he should even remember. I'm just a stranger. Well atleast I know he's not here getting married

She feels a little happier now and smiles and sits back
Chunnu is observing this all from the rear view mirror
C: SO do you guys know each other

Ranbirs whos off the phone is really irritated with this taxi driver and decides to play around with him
R: excuse me, Mr.Chunnu please don't look at my wife like that

Kanya is shocked that he called her his wife. He turns around and winks at her and she understands that he's doing this to annoy Chunnu.

He moves over towards kanya and puts his arm tightly around her.

Now Chunnu is even more interested to see whats going on

R: hey Jaan give me a kiss

He slowly turns Kanya's face towards his. Shes frozen and can't move or think. She actually wants to just kiss those luscious lips of his.

He's coming closer and closer to her. His grip around her arm is getting tighter and tighter.

Kanya's eyes are slowly closing. She can't wait till he plants his lips on hers

Chunnu's mouth is dropping open seeing them so close
All of a sudden Chunnu looks up and slams on the breaks!

C: we're here!

Kanya opens her eyes and Ranbir is just staring at her.

Due to the wind her hair is blowing on to her face and he gently removes it

He comes real close again and passes her face and goes to her ear and whispers: It was nice meeting you again Ms. Kanya

And with that he got out of the taxi and went to the trunk, got his suitcase and disappeared through the revolving doors of the hotel

Kanya was still sitting in the exact same position. As if some spirit had taken over her body and she could not move.

C: hey Miss, he's gone now. You should leave too

Kanya snapped out of it and got out

C: why did your husband just leave you

K just smiled: he wasn't my husband. Bye!

Chunnu just stood there and watched her for a while: Theres definetly going to be something happening between those two. I can guarantee anyone that.

He smirks and gets back into his taxi and drives away singing "Kuch to Hua Hai, Kuch Ho gaya hai…"
