Part V (last part)
One day before the marriage, Vidhi came to meet Moksh. It was against the rituals where it was stated that the girl & boy cant meet & see each other before the wedding. She didn't had any option. She went into his room, Moksh was shocked to see her at their place. He knew that relatives r gone to be very angry , he was worried & took her aside.
Moksh: Vidhi what r u doing here? If someone sees u here, u know ….
Vidhi : I know,…I am worried….I cant help, I had to talk to u.
Moksh: Ok, fast tell me before anyone sees u here.
Vidhi: Don't marry me. Stop this marriage.
Moksh : R u crazy ? why?
Vidhi: No u will die if u marry me. No one can ever live happily with me.
Moksh: I can agree that no one can live happily with u, but why will I die. Am not that weak , can handle ur nakhras well…(he smiled as if she has said something very childish)
(Vidhi started crying bitterly.Her cries were loud & Moksh tried to make her sit & gave water. )
Moksh: Vidhi what happen, come on! Tellme, see u said I cant smile, I am trying to smile as well. Ab main tumhari tarah ban raha hun, Tum meri tarah banne ki koshish mat karo.
Vidhi looked at him, he seemd so caring & so light at heart. The tough image,attitude had vanished. She felt more pain & she started crying again..
Moksh: Vidhi , plzzz stop crying. Baat to batao.. before anyone comes
Vidhi: Last night I got my nightmare back.
Moksh: Bas itni se baat, I have no problem. …..(Vidhi interupted)
Vidhi: I saw u in the temple in my nightmare.(Moksh was listening carefully)U were part of that life for sure, My eyes gazed here & there , then I saw u in the temple room inside, u were lying there dead. I screamed.
Moksh: To kya hua, u just saw me dead so….its not real
Vidhi: I was in wedding outfit & saw u dead. I don't know I feel very uneasy. I m scared for ur life. I have all my life heard people saying that am a cursed child. People associated with me will suffer my fate.
Moksh: Vidhi, I want to marry u. This time am really glad Mamaji choose u for me. I am blessed , u r confident, caring & u have a mind of ur own. Now like a matured person & my would be, just wipe off that tears & bring back that amazing spirited Vidhi back.
Vidhi stopped crying: Achaa yeh kya..u wont even wipe off my tears. She smiled half heartedly, with tension still in her eyes.
Moksh came forward & Vidhi stood up. I will go back before actually getting the bhashans from the whole Thakur khandan. She went forward, looked behind…with a smile & eyes still teary,she said
Vidhi: I am happy I found my compatible partner. I hope & pray all goes well. (her eyes started again crying)
Moksh blushed hearing compatible but as soon he saw her crying , he said, " U know why I didn't wipe ur tears, becoz with those tears ur sensitive self comes out. U don't wear ur specs & the beauty in u , innocence & love is spread all over ur face. I tell u , I saw ur true beauty. I got to know how beautiful u can look.. Now if u want that u should look very beautiful to me & my heart should melt aurr…phir I should fall for u then u keep on crying…
Vidhi just smiled & went away. Moksh actually was very tensed for her. He knew it was now that her nightmares had stopped & she was happy with life. He didn't knew what future holds for them. But was curious to know what past had him doing .
Moksh couldn't sleep that night thinking about the condition of Vidhi might be in. He felt like going there & be with her. He hoped & prayed she is alright.
The wedding day, Mahendra Thakurs happiness had no boundaries. The whole village where the Temple was situated was lit up, there were songs played at every corner, the whole village looked like a hall with people talking about the wedding. There were women in paluus trying to look at the bride & groom hesitantly, the villagers felt a previlage to having been present to witness such a site. The village was small without proper facilities , Temple was in bad condition but as soon as Mahendra Thakur is coming & it's the venue for the marriage & people had made all arrangments , it looked just a beautiful place with the nature's beaty in every corner. There was a small water fall beind the Temple which could be seen from all the windows. The Pillars had carvings of a lady with a lotus in her hand & with every sunray that lotus looked like its blossoming. The temple like Sarita said looked like Swarg.
The bride & the groom came amid with lots of music & dance, the women in the village gathered to sing for them & danced. Moksh was trying to look at Vidhi to get to know whether she was alright, but her pallu was covering her face. It was a ritual to see the birdes face only after the wedding was over. Moksh was happy to see his Mamaji dancing , Vidhi parents also dancing with the villagers. It was such a pleasant site but he just wanted to have a glimpse of Vidhi as well. Moksh & Vidhi entered the Temple premise & in the centre they sat. The priest came & the rituals started. Vidhi tried to uncover her face but the women around always covered it up. Moksh was getting irritated but all made fun of it that he cant wait for even few hours without looking into her eyes.
The rituals ended & the time was for Moksh to put the sindoor & mangalsutra. Vidhi face was then uncovered & Moksh eagerly first looked into her eyes, Vidhi with slight shyness looked into his eyes & she had a big broad smile on her face. Moksh had a sigh of relief & with her smile & beauty he just wanted to just keep looking at her. Soon the priest shouted that muhurat isnt going to wait. Moksh & Vidhi were having the happiness on the face which was just too sparkling, the beauty of the temple was sudddenly looked shining, there was a cool breeze near the whole area. Moksh & Vidhi took the blessing of their parents & Mahendra Thakur had tears filled eyes.
Moksh & Vidhi in their room , their first night. The room was decorated with roses & lilies. The diyas in the balcony lit up the atmosphere with a beautiful fragrance around. Vidhi was shy n very happy. Moksh came close to her & asked,
Moksh: Vidhi, we r now husband & wife.(throwing his arms around her lovingly)
Vidhi: Yes. (with a slight shyness)
Moksh : Vidhi u know, I was so worried for u , after last night I was like whether u slept well or not, or else mera chehra tumhe dara to nahi raha. Saw ur smile & was so relived. I cant tell u how much I was worried for u.
Vidhi: Actually I did get the dream.but now after the dream I am relaxed.
Moksh: what happened in the dream tell.
Vidhi: Its our first night u want to talk abt all this. We will talk about it later. (she was cheekily avoiding to see his curiosity, she went & sat )
Moksh: Vidhi , now don't do this. I am very anxious, tell me , what was I doing 30 yrs back.
Vidhi laughed & said, u were selling flowers near the temple u see.
Moksh pulled her close & said, bata rahi ho ya nahi, or else …& he started tickling her. Vidhi was blushing & laughing & she gave up.
Vidhi: Ok Ok sorry baba, I will tell u. Last night I was tensed as I slept I saw the same Temple but this time it was on paper, then saw a girl looking at them. She might be Sarita, she was writing something on paper, a letter. Then I saw u entering , u told Sarita that u love her a lot, & she shouldn't wait for Mahendra as he will ditch her. U said u cared about her & will alwys keep her happy. U asked her out to get married withu . Sarita I suppose was silent , she was more looking at the letter she was writing. Then I saw a house where all wedding arrangment were on. U were happy & in grooms dress. Everyone around were happy, Sarita started running, saw glimpses of that temple she searching for someone. None were there & Sarita was in tears. She kept waiting. She heard the temple bell ringing she was anxious as Mahendra must have come, Soon as she went close in the centre of the temple she saw u lying there. U had ended ur life hittign hard on to the temple bell. U said, Running on the mariage day Sarita has insulted not only ur love but brought shame to his family as well. U told that after hurting everyone & not exceptign ur true love she will never be happy & never get married. Sarita was shocked, she went searching none were there to help her out. Mahendra didn't come, she felt guilty of ur death & realised how much shame she had brought toboth the families. She had belive in the selfish Mahendra & not at ur true love. She walked into the jungle & then ate some leaves may be they were poisonous. My dream ended with her last words, "Iss bar naa sahi, Vidhi ka vidhan hoga to main agle janm mey tumhari banungi, Tabhi mujhe shayad Moksh prapt hoga".
Vidhi: I am glad, Moksh to prapt hogaya. She hugged Moksh.
Moksh was speechless, he felt so happy that actually their fate was written already.
Moksh: Vidhi, Don't tell this to Mamaji, he thinks Sarita died for him. Let him be with the beautiful memories where Sarita loved him & only him.
Early morning as Vidhi & Moksh got up from the sleep. Moksh asked astonishingly to Vidhi,
Moksh: Vidhi I got a dream as well….
Vidhi: No….oh god! This time I didn't get any nightmares. What happened, kya hua? (she was tensed)
Moksh: Kya batau bahut hi bhayanak sapna tha. He looked down & started walking near the window. Sapne mey mujhe Tum dikhayi nahi di. (Vidhi was tensed & as if she would start crying soon.)
Moksh: Sapne mey mujhe teen bachen nazar ayein, teeno kitab padh rahe the aur teeno ney tumhari tarah mote mote chashmey lagaye the. Hai Ram! Lagta hai mere bacho ka bhavish khatre mey hain agar woh apni Maa pe gaye to.
Vidhi realised he is pulling her leg & she took the pillows & started throwing at him. Moksh tried to throw it back at her, both were fighting. Both came close & Moksh put his head on her lap & said, "Vidhi hum ekdusre se anjaane the, magar aaj aisa nahi lagta." Vidhi replied, "Ek Anjaana Saaya hame sirf Saath nahi laya balki hame kuch hi palo mey bahut najdeek le aya."Both cosyily cuddled each other, enjoying the beautiful start of their married life.
