Part III

Moksh: Mamaji, Yeh Aap se milne ayi hain.(Mahendra Thakur looked at Vidhi , he was glad. )

Mahendra : Aree Vidhi tum yehan, Aoo. Bahut khuhsi hue tumhe yehan dekh ke. Kaho kaise ana hu? Aur Moksh Radhe se keh ke dhanda mangwao.

Vidhi : Nahi theek hai. Mujhe kuch nahi chahiye. Main aap se bas kuch baateing karne ayi thi.(Moksh did oblige & ordered for thandai to Radhe.)

Vidhi took out some sketches she had made. Mahendra & moksh were wondering what she is up to. Vidhi showed those shetches to Mahendra. Mahendra Thakur was surprised & shocked.

Mahendra: Vidhi yeh…….. yeh to ussi mandir ki tasveer keenchi hain. Kisne banayi yeh. Aur yeh ander ka naksha to ek dum hubahu waisa hi hai jaisa maine dekha hai. Kisne banai batao…

Vidhi: Yeh maine banai hai.

Mahendra : Tum is Mandir ke bare main janti ho?

Vidhi: Nahi. Maine yeh Mandir ki tasveerein apne bhyanak sapno mey dekhi hain. Aur bachpan mey maine inhe kagaj pe utara tha. Yeh sapne mujhe roz atein hain, Jin mey yeh Mandir ki deewaren aur Ek cheekh hai. Inhi Sapno ke wajah se mujhe bahut mushkil hua hai duniya ko samjhane ke liye. Koi isse beemari kehta koi bhoot. To koi pagal pan. Magar Kal jab maine yehi tasveer us kitaab mey dekhi to jaana yeh ek sapna nahi shayad haqueequat hai. Aur Tajub to mujhe tab hua jab yeh tasveer jab maine kal dekhi to pehli baar Mujhe us Mandir ka Sapna nahi aya… Aap batayi ye , yeh Mandir Kahan hai…

Mahendra Thakur looked at the temples drawing closely, he observed the little things about the temple that only he knew. He looked outside & tears rolled down. Moksh was standing listening all with a shock. He looked at Mahendra jis tears filled eyes..& said, " Mamaji Aap ki tabeeyat to thek hai na?" Vidhi too was tensed.

Vidhi : " kya maine kuch galat kah diya hai?"

Mahendra Thakur: Nahi Vidhi. Tumhari yeh tasveer dekh ke mujhe Sarita yaad agayi. Sarita aur Main bacch pan se sath pale aur bade hue. Hum dono ke mata-pita khilone bechte ek gaon se dusre. Hum sath unke khilone bechte aur humne bachpan mey kai jagah dekhi. Bachpan mey hi Sarita ne kaha tha ki hum ek dusre se hi shadi karenge. Bachpan mey sab tay kar liya tha. Bade hue aur woh mujhse , main usse har baat kehtey, ek dusre ke liye sath sapney sanjotey. 16 sal mey main padhai ke liye shaher gaya. Sarita mujhe khat likha karti thi, 2-3 salon baad mujhe naukari mil gayi shaher mey, mera usse khat likhna kam hogaya. Magar woh har din ek khat bhejti. Kuch maheno baad main kaam mey itna masruf hogaya ki maine uske kai khat to padhe bhi nahi. Usne Ek din mere dost ke haaton sandesh pahunchaya ki uski shadi karne ka soch rahe hain. Uska khat padha, usmey bahut dard tha. Woh udhar mera intezaar kar rahi thi ki kab main aoo aur uska haath thamu. Hamare parivaar ab bahut dorr hogaye the. Maine bahut pasie kamaye the. Main usse khat likha ki kuch hi maheno mey main aunga. Idhar mera khud ka vyapaar bana, mujhe videsho se log milne aye aur maine export ka bhi kaam liya. Na jane kaise kaam itna tha, mehnat itni ki , aur Sarita ki mushkilo ka mujhe dyaan nahi aya.

Ek din Sarita ka khat aya, Maine padhe bagair rakh diya aur rat ko padha to dekha usne likha tha ki uski manzori ki begair uski shadi karadi jaa rahi hai.Aur wah ghar se bhag jayegi , wah mera ussi mandir main intezzar karegi jahan humney bachpan mey socha tha ki wahi shadi karenge. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aya. Usne mujhe phone karne keliye dusre taluka se bhi koshish ki magar jab tak mujhe samachar milta wah jaa chuki thi. Idhar mera videshi vyapari yon se milna bhi jaruri tha. Kuch din soocha nahi kya karu aur apne kaam mey vyasth raha. Ek hafte ke baad pata chala ki shadi ke din Sarita ka shav Kisi Mandir ke nazdik jungle mey mila. Shayad yeh wahi Mandir tha jahan wah mera intezaar kar rahi thi. Aur main nahi pahuncha. Aaj mera karo baar uchayiyon pe hain magar dil mey abhi yeh dukh hai ki shayad meri hi wajah se Sarita ne apni jaan li. Uska Pyaar mere liya kitna gehra tha aur maine Apni Nadani mey uske dil ko najane kitni chont pahunchai. Mujhe woh Mandir kuch kuch yaad hai magar kahan hai yeh yaad nahi, aur kisiko ko bhi pata nahi hai. Ab itne salon baad, maut se pehle Kuch woh Mandir ko dena chahtahun, jisse dekh Sarita kehti yeh Swarg jaisa hai, hum yehin byah karengi. Shayad issi se uski Atma ko shanti mile.

Vidhi: Isliye mujhe sapne mey woh Mandir dikhta lekin woh rona , bilakna aur who dukhi ankhen dikhti hain. Mandir mey kisiko dhunti nigahain.

Moksh : Kaisa Ajeeb itefaq hai, Hum Delhi mey rehte the aur aaj yehan aagaye uss Kitab ki khoj mey , jahan buli bisri woh Mandir kahan hai patachale to hosake utna usse ubhare. Mamaji to sirf ussi Mandir ke punar nirman ke liye Yehan aye, tabiyat ki phikar na kartey hue. Aaj dekho kahan se hum mile aur kaise woh beete din aur aaj ka fasla mita.

Mahendra Thakur: Vidhi tum yeh Mandir ki drawings yehin rakho mujhe inhe dekh achaa lagega. Jaise ki Sarita ke pass hun.

Vidhi went away , she narrated the whole story to her parents. They were shocked that something like this has happened in the past whose shadows kept on following her. They were glad Vidhi 's nightmares were not disturbing her & after a long period she was having a peceful sleep.

After a couple of days, Mahendra Thakur & Moksh came to Vidhi's house. Vidhi was surprised & her parents pleased to see the Thakur himself coming to meet them.

Part IV

They welcomed them with utmost warmth.

Mahendra : Aap Soch rahe honge hum kyun aye hain?

Vidhi's father Jaiprakash: Ji, agar koi baat hoti to aap hame buladete, aap ne swayam ane ka kasht kyun kiya.

Mahendra : Baat hi kuch aisi thi , ki hame hi ana pada. (Vidhi was serving them sharbat. )

Jaiprakash: Aisi kya baat hogai, batayi ye

Mahendra: Aap ko Vidhi ne bataya hoga, humara Delhi se kanpur ana kyun hua. Us Mandir ke bare mein bhi.

Jaiprakash : Ji , hame Vidhi ne bataya, Aur sach hum to abhi ashcharya chakit ho rahe hain.

Mahendra: Aap ko yeh bhi pata chal gaya hoga, ki ab mera ek hi maksad hai ki marne se pehle main Us mandir ka punar nirman karun.

Jaiprakash : Ji, Aap ko hamari koi bhi madat chahiye ho to aap bejhijak hukum kijiye.

Mahendra: Ji, Insaan bada swarthi hota hai. Pehle mujhe lagta Main Mandir banalunga to mujhe mukti milegi magar ab swarth bad gaya, ab to soch raha hun, Moksh aur Vidhi ka byah dekhlu to mukti mile. Vidhi bahut hi guni aur pyaari hai. Hame rishta bahut pasand hai. Aap kya kehte hain?

Jaiprakash & his wife had surprise & happiness all round their face, they were so glad that Vidhi's marriage proposal coming from such respected family. Their happiness didn't have any bounds.

Vidhi was shocked & she looked at Moksh who was standing with utmost disinterest with not evena glimpse of happiness or smile. She knew Moksh isnt happy, but she remained silent. She was herself speechless.

Jaiprakash: Yeh to hamara saubhagya hoga jo hamari beti aap ke parivaar ka hissa bane. Hum to bahut chote hain, hum kaise..

Mahendra: Chote bade kuch nahi, Vidhi bahut guni hai, hame achhe sanskar wali ladki chahiye, aur maine dekha hai bado ka adar , aur swabhav se Vidhi bahut hi achhi hai. Saubhagya to hamara hai. Iske sath shayad Sarita ki atma bhi santusht ho.

All congratulated each other, Mahendra had already brought some sweets & gave them. Moksh was standing without looking at Vidhi . Vidhi was happy for her parents , it had been ages she saw them so happy. They told her to take Mahendra jis blessing & she took.

Mahendra: Moksh ke Mata-Pita ko bhi yeh rishta manjur hai, wah Delhi mey hi hain. Meri unsey baat hogayi hai. Moksh bachpan se hi mere yehan pala bada hai, mera khud ka koi parivaar nahi, Moksh ko maine apna beta mana. Sara dekhna karna mere baad iska hi hai.(gettign a bit emotional) Aacha ab hum chalte hain. He blessed Vidhi & went away.

Vidhi knew it was very difficult to get her married for her parents & this proposal was just the one they couldn't even dream about. She couldn't end their dreams shattered due to her ego. She agreed & the engagement was fixed which was like the day when the muhurat for wedding & invitation cards were finalised.

The engagement ceremony was at Mahendra Thakur Haveli, Vidhi looked lovely in the Pink Ghaghara Choli. After the engament Moksh & Vidhi had few minutes to talk as all others were busy in their talks. Vidhi parents were spending some time chatting with Moksh parents who came from Delhi. Moksh & Vidhi were standing in the Araamghrah of the Haveli….

Moksh: U must be very Happy Vidhi.

Vidhi: Why do u feel that?

Moksh: U know for sure that I am marrying u due to Mamaji's pressures.

Vidhi: Ya, I did feel, as u don't look excited with the proposal anyways.

Moksh: Then do u think I will be able to keep u happy?

Vidhi: I am not doing this for my happiness, but for my families happiness.

Moksh: Why wont u be happy, apart from me u have a wonderful family to welcome u. For me Mamaji is my Godfather..My God as well as my father. My parents r greedy they only think for money , they r excited with this proposal becoz Mamaji has promised that he will give property in my name. For me its makes me more than happy that in my life I can do something which pleases my Mamaji. I cant even ask him, I am overwhelemed by his love. This marriage shows just my gratitude towards him.

Vidhi: It feels wonderful that u shared this with me. I am pleasntly surprised. That's really nice of u .

Moksh suddenly realised why did he let out his personal & emotional turmoil to her. He was a bit taken aback & confused. With hesitation & making himself feel strong. He said.

Moksh: U should be happy, what more could u want. Why do u say u doing for family?

Vidhi laughed , she knew he was just trying to show as if he isnt in love with her or feels close in anyway.

Vidhi: U know my age is around 27yrs & after so much of seeing life I know what type of guy will be compatible with me. I suppose u rnt that understanding but its ok, even when u can marry me for ur Mamaji, I can also marry just just for my parents. (she smiled)

Moksh: (Moksh was a bit upset) not compatible? Excuse me Vidhi, I am actually the talk of the town, I have numerous girls falling for my looks my personality. But I am a very down to earth guy. I am very balanced , U r just very lucky..(he raised his eyebrow)

Vidhi: Oh I see, but u know , I am so unlucky. I wanted a person who may not have much gold in his house but would have a heart of gold, I wanted a person who may not have lots of people to fall for him but a person just stands beside me & not let me fall ever. A perosn who may not be the talk of the town but who talks for himself & from his heart. U know Moksh, I wanted a person who may not be able to shower all the happiness of the world but has a simple beautiful smile which may make my world happy always. Moksh I have actually never seen u smiling ever.

Moksh was so involved in her talks that a smile came up. He couldn't even show his fake anger. Vidhi saw & said, "Moksh sorry, u actually do have a wonderful smile, but I suppose its for those city girls. Lucky me I got a chance to have a glimpse of it." Moksh smiled & raised his eyebrow & said, "Vidhi…..u….r smarter than I thought".

The marriage date was fixed & the venue was the ShubhDwar Temple. They reached the small villeage a week before. Vidhi was very nervous about going to the place which was a part of her nightmares. She was thinking more about that than the her marriage.

omg Bhoomi, I feel so bad for missing the first three parts, but I'm all caught up now. Wonderful story! Seems to me that Vidhi is a reincarnation of Sarita. I can't wait to see if Moksh will change after the wedding. Please continue soon!

Hi Rabia,... It really make me feel very nice that u liked this story till now and found it interestign enough to catch all ur attention... ur appreication surely is a g8 compliment for me. Yup u may be right abt Sarita and Vidhi.. waise the next part will be the last part of the short story... Will post it soon... hope u like it as well...
