Part 5

When prerna opened the door she was shocked to see her college best friends after such a long time.

Prerna: RISHAB, JANKI

Rishab and Janki were also shocked to see prerna. Just then Anurag came there he was also shocked to see them. He went and hugged his friends and invited them in. All four friends were really happy to meet each other after such a long time. After coming inside Rishab and janki told them how their car got struck in the middle of the road and they were looking for some help and how they saw their house so they decided to come in. Just then janki noticed all the preparations in the house and asked prerna about it.

Janki: Prerna why are all these preparations in the house? Were you guys expecting someone?

Prerna: yes some people were coming. I want to get my son married so we called the bride parents at our house today.

Janki: Oh we are so sorry they must be coming and we disturbed you guys.

Anurag: It's nothing like that janki. Don't be sorry.

Just then Anurag's cellphone rang so he went to answer it.

Until Rishab and janki were talking with prerna about their college days. After some time Anurag came back and told prerna that prem called and said that bride parents are not coming today.

Prerna: Anurag how did prem knew that?

Anu: They called at home to tell us that they can't come today and prem picked up the phone. He also forgot to tell you that.

Prerna was really angry at prem for not informing her. She did all these preparations for nothing. Then she looked at rishab and janki and saw they were all wet from all the rain.

Prerna: Rishab, janki your clothes are all wet. Why don't you guys go and change and then we will catch up on everything we missed till today.

Janki and Rishab both went to change. While prerna went to get coffee for everybody since it was really cold.

After Rishab and Janki changed and came back outside Prerna bought coffee for everybody and they all start to chat about their lives. Rishab and Janki told them about where they were going and how their car got punctured and they came here. After hearing what Janki said, prerna suddenly thought of something.

Prerna: Janki you said that you want to get your daughter married right.

Janki: Yes prerna but why are you asking? Is there any problem?

Prerna: No not at all but I also want to get my son married.

Janki: Then why don't we get both of them married to each other. Is that what you wanted to say prerna?

Prerna: yes but do you agree with me?

Janki: Of course Prerna I would be more than happy if my daughter becomes your daughter-in-law.

Prerna: Then that's final what about you two (referring to anurag and rishab)

Anurag and Rishab: of course we agree.

Rishab: But then why don't we let them meet each other and then see if they like each other or not because if they don't like each other then they won't have a successful marriage. We also want our kid's happiness and we want them to be happy.

Anurag: I think Rishab is absolutely right. We should let them meet each other and then decide about it.

Prerna: But what if they said no then what will we do?

Janki: Don't worry prerna they will surely get them married to each other no matter what happens. I know you want our friendship to turn into a relationship and this will happen because we will make it happen.

Prerna: Ok then it's final but how will we make them agree. Janki let me tell you about my son Rajveer. He is a successful businessman and used to work in our family business. But along with that he is also a major in Army, since being an army officer was his childhood dream. But currently he is a major and is on mission in Kachenjanga Military academy so mostly he stays there.

Rishab: Wow! He seems like an ambitious and a talented young man.

Anurag: Well of course he is Rishab. After all whose son is he?

Prerna: mine

Janki: Okay then that's decided. You guys can come to our house tomorrow with your kids, and then Rajveer and Ishika can meet too and we will have a small get together too.

Prerna: Yes, I think that's a good plan. What do you guys think about it?

Anu: fabulous. I think both of you should be in CID after all you both have such sharp minds.

Janki: Thanks for the opinion Anurag we will surely think about it. Right Prerna!

Prerna: Of course Janki. And then both of them started laughing along with Rishab, who was having fun looking at Anurag's sullen face.

After meeting with Prerna and Anurag, Rishab and Janki went back home. All four of them were really happy to meet each other after such a long time and were really excited about their next meeting along with their kids.

The Next Day at Garewal Mansion

Prerna wakes up everybody like any other day. All the kids obediently listen to her but Prem gives her a hard time in waking up like as usual.

Prerna: Prem wake up now. It's the last time I am telling you or else after that I am sending your brother in.

Prem: Come on mom I am waking up. No need to call Big B.

Prerna: Prem I don't know how you can be scared of your brother when you are not even scared of me or your dad.

Prem: Who said I am not scared of you Mother India?

Prerna: But you don't listen to me and when ever your brother says something you immediately listen to him.

Prem: Well that is because I really respect him a lot.

Prerna: I know how much you are scared of him and how much you respect him. I am you mom and I know you in and out so don't try to lie to me.

Prem: Okay leave me alone mom, I am going to take a shower now. I don't know why you are always after me.

Saying this Prem angrily goes to the washroom and Prerna just smiles at his anger.

Prerna: Loudly to Prem "come down fast for breakfast. I am going downstairs".

Downstairs all the other kids were joking around with each other.

Prerna: Kumkum beta , start the breakfast now. Why are you guys still talking and where is your papa?

Kumkum: Mom he is not down yet.

Prerna: Our kids are grown up but he still behaves like a child.

Ramu kaka, go and call Anurag please.

Anurag: Raghu kaka you go I am here now.

Rajveer: Mom dad I have to talk to you about something. I have to go back today.

Prerna: Rajveer this time I am not going to listen to anything. You are staying and I don't care about anything else. Say something to him Anurag and tell him to listen to me this time.

Rajveer: Dad please make mom understand.

Anurag: Sorry beta but we are invited for a dinner at our long lost friends and both of us promised them that we will come with our whole family. This time I can't say anything. If there is any problem for you in staying back I will talk to General Vishwanath (head in the army and friend of Anurag).

Until then Prem comes downstairs.

Prem: Good Morning everybody! How are you guys? Ramu Kaka "give me my breakfast I am really hungry". Big B when are you going back?

Prerna: Eat your breakfast quietly and for your kind information your Big B is not going back in a week.

Prem mummers to himself: Mother India, the senior Hitler was not enough that Big B, the junior Hitler will be here for a week too.

Angad: Prem did you said anything. I think I heard something from you.

Sneha: Yes, bhai even I heard something. Prem what did you said?

Prem: Me, Oh no I didn't said anything. I think both of your ears are ringing.

Kumkum: Seriously Prem you really think that. By the way Raj Bhayia didn't you also hear anything from Prem?

Saying this she gives a thumbs up to Sneha and Angad and all of them start laughing.

Rajveer: Stop teasing him guys and Angad you are no less either so stop laughing.

Kavya: Yes and same to you girls. Don't you know that he is bhayia's kiddo and is only scared of him and mom or else god save us from Prem?

Saying this Kavya gives a mischievous smile to others and everyone on the table laughs.

Prem: Look at them Dad. I am not saying anything so it doesn't mean that they can all make fun of me. Say something to them okay. NO ONE MAKES FUN OF PREM GAREWAL , GET IT GUYS.

By the way Mother India, whenever I do something you are the first one to come with a stick but you don't say anything to them.

Prerna: Everyone it's enough now and you guys leave my son alone or else no one will be worse than me. Now remember to come home early; we are invited for dinner at Rishab and Janki's place.

Rajveer: Mom I am going somewhere for an argent work so I am going to be late. Now don't be mad at me for this and please give me the address, I will be there for your happiness.

Anurag: Okay I am going Prerna. I will come early and then we will go together. I hope its fine with you. Rajveer, here is the address and do come beta, I don't want any excuses.

Prerna: Let's go Anurag, I will drop you till the door.

Kavya: Bye everyone, I have a business meeting, and I am also really getting late. Raj Bhayia, are you coming with me?

Rajveer: No you go, I will come with Prem.

Prem: You are seriously coming with me Big B and that to my college. If you came then all of the girls will go after you and mom will not like it.

Rajveer: You should not worry about that Prem. I have some work there. So, let's go now, even you are getting late for college.

Sneha: Poor Prem. He is really stuck today.

Angad: I know but let's go or else we will be in trouble from mom who can't hear anything about her oldest and youngest son. Sneha you and Kumkum di are daddy's girl, but poor kavya and me, no one loves us in this house.

Kumkum: Stop acting Angad and get going. You are late for you rehearsals. Take Sneha with you and drop her off to the office since dad and kavya are already gone now.

Rajveer and Prem in the car

Prem: Big B do you know that mom is always worried for you. You know she is never completely happy because you are always away from her. Why can't you just stay with us here?

Rajveer: Prem you are saying this. I thought you didn't like my stay at home because I am always after you like mom.

Prem: Well sometimes it's too much but I love it when mom and you care for me like that. I know mother India, daddy cool, you and everyone in the house loves me a lot but I just like to tease everybody, you know. Now promise me, you won't tell mother India about this

Rajveer: Have I ever told any secret of yours to anyone? So don't worry I won't tell this either. Now go, your college is here and please don't pull any pranks on anybody and behave.

Prem: As you wish, Sir. Shall I go now?

Rajveer: Yes and take care. Don't forget to come home early or mom will be real mad at you.

Rajveer is driving while he sees a small boy selling red roses on the road. He suddenly remembers something and gets sad. He doesn't want to show the pain on his face but he is not able to ignore it, which irritates him a lot. When he is tired of fighting with himself, he starts to drive really fast to diverse his attention from those sweet and bitter memories, which once were more than his life to him.

I will try to update more, if I will not be busy. I know I said in the next part it will be Garewals and Walias meeting but I just wanted to write a bit more on the families. Next time it will be more on Walia family and the big meeting between both the families.
