As for Smrita’s behaviour I wish Viveka too ignores her as she just did.

Just be indifferent. That would hurt her even more.

She felt him in bed not sure when, he was still asleep when she got ready, most of the closet bathroom work was done, they had a few hours of finishing touches left. It looked even better than before.

She wondered who the designer was, and if Naina knew the person. She had seen a man and a woman with an ipad walking around a few times measuring and taking notes

She went back out and put her stuff in her bag

Leaned over the bed and tried to wake him

On her elbows, laying over the pillows bending over his head

“Kitna sotey ho” she whispered and kissed his cheek slowly

There was no response

“Raa nav… main ja rahi hoon kaam par,”

No response, just a stir

“Kitna sotey ho” she mumbled sadly and kissed his cheek

When she began pulling away, he whipped his arm out and rotated her, brought her closer and wrapped his arms around her waist snugly

“You are crushing my saree” she scowled

“Well you shoulda thot about that before mocking my sleep habits Ms Mathur

She looked into his sparkling eyes

She wondered how she lived without him the first 30 years of her life

“When did you come to bed?” she whispered gently feeling his beard with the back of her fingers

He bend down and got busy

They spent about 20 minutes pleasuring each other, flirting and laughing

“Not true not true” she gasped later “I was just being a dutiful person informing you I was going to work”

He gently pinched her engorged peak, playing with it between his fingers, at the same time bending down to trace her bottom lip with his tongue, growling in victory as he felt her aching shudder of helpless response

“My touch more than disturbs you Viveka Mathur” he whispered, his mouth slanting over hers and dug into the moist depths, the sounds of enjoyment he made echoing in her mouth, as his fingers slid under her blouse…

A few more minutes of heated magic later they crashed on their backs exhausted

“What time are you returning I can pick u up” he said in repressed unsatiated gloom

“7ish”

“Hmm”

“Jaaoon”

He pulled her over on top and held her there

“Saree change kind of a morning” she groaned in defeat

“I can watch”

“Its not a spectator sport” she shoved him getting off

On the other side of the bed, she found a glossy new copy of a Amartya Sen book

“On Ethics & Economics” on his nightstand

“Whoaaaaa” she grabbed it in shock

He ssat up arms cross across his chest and watched her in amusement

“YOU HAVE A NEW COPY?” she peered at it myopically

He always threw her glasses while making love

He nodded amused “I guess so”

Hers was a original signed copy a Prof in DU had given to her upon retirement 7 years ago

tattered and broken at the spine, the pages coming off, she had it in a Ziploc, not willing to go get it repaired in Old Delhi like Papa had urged her to many many times

She didn’t “trust anyone” to take care of her baby

She couldn’t find any new one on Flipkart either, she had actually paid online once never to receive a copy

Dadi had given her earful about wasting money on bekaar ki qitaabein when she had told Dadi about what Amartya usually wrote about

“Gareebi to hamare desh mein har jagah hai, uske liye kitab kyon padhogi? BATAO?”

She held the book fondly and looked at him longingly

“Its great” she said and sighed

Wonder how the Parashar kid could even find a new copy

She turned to the back and looked at it

“It’s a new copy and a original?” she nodded

Gently putting it back on the nightstand

“Uve had it for a long time?”

“Umm.. not really” he took his arms behind his head in further amusement

“Mine is all torn up” she looked at the book longingly again

“I wont even get mine sewn up” she laughed like a 5 year old looking at a giant candy bar darting a glance at the book again

“Do you love Amartya Sen also?”

“Oh yeah” “Definitely” he nodded shutting his eyes and shaking his head in affirmative

“Ive read all his books” she nodded

“I am getting there” he lied and sighed as if he has a long way to go

“I should borrow it from you, I don’t read my book because I am afraid the pages would tear” “Mine is a relic though” she said smugly “ I mean an original signed copy” she nodded fixing her saree and still darting loving glances at his book

“U think a signature adds a lot of value?” he goaded her mischievously, his expression serious, his eyes dancing mirthfully but she was too riled up to notice the eyes

“DUDE… AMARTYA SEN… I MEAN… AMARTYA” she shouted upset

“Oh?”

“I mean if Nani Palkhivala signed a book for u” she offered in exchange to explain the value

“Umm..”

“Forget it…” she was dismissive

Walking away

“Or how about if one of those written by Brit judges……. them with their curly white wigs?”

He laughed a roaring big one

“There! U get it”

She turned away and went off to her closet with a “Ufff”

“Its urs Vi” he said softly

She went back into the dressing room and ran back out when she suspected she had heard him

“THIS BOOK?” she gasped

“Yep” he smiled

She grabbed it

“Oh sorry… sorry sorry” she cursed “Uff” she scolded herself and went all gentle

It appeared like there was a bookmark of some sort

She opened to the page, there lay a sparkling diamond bracelet, lighting up the words with its opalescence

She looked at him in shock

His expression was intense

“An expensive bookmark” she whispered

Her fingers trembled as she shut it

“No” he said simply looking into her eyes

Raanav notices a lot about her likes and dislikes. To an extent to be able to notice a book or bookcase would be type of gifts his wife would like versus anything that’s shining but it didn’t deter him to add some jewelry along. Dadi hopefully sees and forgets about Smrita’s necklace 😂

Great idea Ranaav. Gift should be something personally thoughtful gesture as per recipients liking.

And Nisha comes up with unique ideas each time.

Raanav surely knows how to woo a woman. 😍

Or rather Nisha knows how to make Raanav woo his woman!!! 😳

Was Raanav trying to get the book (and the bracelet) last night when he was constantly on the phone?

“Gareebi to hamare desh mein har jagah hai, uske liye kitab kyon padhogi? BATAO?”

Dadi and her killer one liners. 😆

New..

Why was naina so startled to see Viveka? She did not expect her to attend?

The family is going all out for Naina. After this she better stop complaining.

Reasons & Ruse

What exactly is Naina's beef now? Why is she so ticked off even though the family is trying?

Let's see if Viveka lets it be or argues about this too.

Its Catch 22 for her.

But then her marrying him itself was not something she would have ordinarily thought of.
