Very nicely done, Raanav! Satyen is a shrewd observer of people and well versed in the art of diplomacy. Planting a thought will be way more effective than directing when it comes to his son.

“Mother is a perfectionist“ - wonder how he’ll feel when he realises she’s directing that very perfection to perfectly demean his wife.

Satyen is a dad, a well wisher for this son's happiness and yes a wise man. He did not refrain from voicing his concern and thoughts to Raanav which included talking about Smrita's (somewhat bad ) influence on him.

Ra response was natural (a straight shooter) that he is in control,a grown up and knows his wife and capable of navigating his marriage.

So Ra the protector and problem solver did not hestitate to lay out the rules firmly and politely to Lekha that Rathji will be exclusively Vi's driver. If it was Smrita would be he say the same ?😊

It will be interesting when he realizes that his "perfectionist" mom is hoping that his marriage will dissolve soon.

Satyen has lived with Smrita for a long time and knows her the best. Her positive and negative traits, all of them. Raanav is still getting there. Satyen very subtly told his son what his mother and Lekha are doing to his wife. For the moment, Lekha got told off politely.

“I am not going to let you leave” he whispered tonguing her ear

I so hope he meant this not only for tonight but forever ❤️.

Viveka appeared at the dinner table around 10, when the food had been cleared

Smrita gave her a side eye

She walked over to Raanav and sat by him and yawned

“Good nap?”

“I never take mid evening naps any more, Dadi doesn’t like it” she laughed

Satyen had walked out to the hallway to take a call

“Welcome welcome”

“I am sorry OK?” Viveka joined hands in prayer and laughed

“Khaana khaaya beta?”

“No I just got here”

She was wrapped in a gorgeous hot pink shawl, underneath Smrita noticed a bright yellow salwar

The girl was not a fashion victim

Lekha would not be seen dead in salwar suit at home

Summers, shorts

Winters, some designer sweats and hoodies

Raanav gently stroked her back with fingertips

“Your phone rang multiple times I chose “cant talk right now” he muttered

I would be in dilemma whether or not press charges. Wouldn't say Ranaav is wrong.

Lovely exchange. Wicked sense of humor Ranaav. Zindagi bhar sunayega yeh banda. There have been quite a few occasions she hasn't thanked him.
