Exterminating a relationship
Naina is missing from the picture. Nothing can move forward until she makes a decision and communicates it clearly to all.

Warrior and a Wuss
Loved Anu's comeback to dadi. The four daughters gave her the strength which dadi's two sons could not.
Inder hates responsibility? What is going to do in life? Who will be responsible for his?
Just imagine if it was the other way around, how would the situation be?
If it was Naina who would have gate crashed Dhamija residence and begged to meet Inder and did all the drama Inder was doing now, imagine the kind of names, taunts and insults Nupur, Smrita and co would have thrown at the Mathurs!!!!
Mathurs are behaving so decently with Inder.
I wish Satyen points this out to his whole family, including Raanav.
Not that I am a fan of Naina but she surely needs to kick out Inder from her life for ever.
Dadis have this tendency, nhi? Placing the daughters and their family on a pedestal and treating the sons and their families with a sense of entitlement..
It must be with good reason what with mothers being sympathetic to a daughter's limitations with her in laws.. but this thing really gets overboard at times!
I absolutely love Aakash and Anubha's banter.. they're witty and so charming! ♥️
I hope Naina returns soon so that this Inder situation can make some headway!

Ikr!! Case in point, the one day she spent at the Parashars at Lohri! That too, on an invitation from them..
Concern
He took a deep breath and gently stroked her nose
“I like to see you in a nose ring again”
“Laayi nahi UK”
“Back home then?”
She nodded
“What do u want me to fix for breakfast?” he leaned in
“I can make breakfast” she giggled
“Just stay in”
“U are like Papa… Ma ko itni khatir milti thi, she u know got hella pampered by Dad” “My Dadi mocked Ma “tabhi iski chaar beti hue” Dadi even now says he should not have been so concerned about Ma
Viveka giggled
“Does he pamper u?”
“Of course main PEHLI hoon” she smiled gently
“Nice” he was a little jealous
“Of course not every month or anything… u know, kabhi kabhi when I got the cold or flu” she smiled reassuringly
He gently wrapped a arm around her bare waist, her tee riding up her rib cage
“I can fix you whatever you usually eat on the first day”
“I am not so special OK… Ma jo bhi banati hai who kha lete hain, if she is on a biz trip we first tear each others’ eyes out as to whose turn it is to cook, Papa will argue also” she laughed
He watched her eyes twinkle
“Your Dad didn’t want to either”
“Arey who bahut lazy hain, Ma ko dikhane ke liye he will do OK? When she is not in town he will always have some pain”
His phone rang it was his mother
He was afraid it was about Dad
“Mum”
“Uth gaye?”
“Hmm”
“Is she around?”
“Right here in bed Mum” he mocked
“OK… no no its fine”
“Here talk” he handed the phone to his wife
She slowly sat up leaning on the headboard
“Hello, ?”
“Hi beta how are you?”
“Great M—om Thanks”
“He has too many friends don’t feel obligated to meet everyone OK” Smrita was unusually concerned
Smrita’s advice always centered around reeling in fun activities, never about going all out
“But I want to” she said wickedly
“Then u have to stay in touch with everyone no?” (When u divorce him and leave that’s an added matter of stress why do u want so much heart burn)
“I will let him do the hard work” “I will just show up to eat”
“He is very picky”
“I WANT to eat… he can have his smoothies”
Raanav texted on the ipad
Smrita was about to tell Viveka about Inder
Raanav grabbed the phone
“I don’t want to talk to him, PLEASE tell him not to call me a 100 times, its going to make me never wanna talk”
“RAAN-AVVV”
“Do u really want to know how many calls?”
Raanav screenshot and sent Smrita photos
Viveka closed her eyes and winced in pain
She went to her phone and texted Naina
“How is Kopal?”
“Inder ki baat karna chahti ho?”
“Umm.. no”
“Ah”
“He is home alone with Dadi and Papa”
“HE made the choice Veev”
Raanav had hung up
“Eggs and toast sound good? “
“And I don’t have to make it?” “WOWW” she smiled at him
“We could find something else to argue over” he muttered softly leaving her
If left alone they are cute couple.
Except for Satyen and Akash no should be allowed to disturb them.
So Ranaav is getting jealous of Akash as well. Great 😉.
I wish he understood how Smrita makes Viveka feel. That too on purpose. Ranaav once needs to put her in her place and let her know that he wont allow Viveka to go anywhere. Not without him.

Hey Barrister. Well! The way I see Raanav's character is.... I have more his character arc in my mind here. Yes, I remember him initially being mean , condescending , Viveka bore the brunt of it as well. But when Viveka became a web of intrigue to him, he found having this energetic sexual attraction for her. To cut the long story short, the minute he discovered he has a thing for her, he did not pause to ponder she's middle class right? And then when married, after a few mis hits, he did take a huge step towards setting his equation resolve to some extent with Naina as well , when they had that conversation late at night
When I said his wife's unit in my post , my thoughts were more specifically towards Naina and not the senior mathurs.
Prejudices are common, expressed at multiple levels, some more aggressively expressive than others. But I believe , when in love and you take the most important step to commit yourself to that person , in a way you commit to their family too. That ,this guy is doing and I love him for that because to me as a spouse , it would mean that he cares. I don't really care otherwise , if he carries his condescending attitude and prejudice even to his grave . To each his own. To others middle class , he's just a third person and a stranger. So , the middle class can cut him out too , if he cuts them condescendingly.
Hi! I'm sorry, I meant to reply to you sooner.. but it slipped my mind.
I totally agree that Raanav is putting more efforts in their relationship, he's more forthcoming and more invested.
Viveka's attitude towards the marriage sometimes seems very impersonal to me.. like she sees this only as a temporary arrangement!
My only point was to emphasize that this is easier for Raanav!
Viveka didn't slander Rakshit ever, or for whatever it's worth.. even Inder or Smrita!
She's made efforts with both Smrita and Lekha. We saw how that went..
The few times she's spoken about Smrita's attitude, he's accused her of hating on his mum.
Raanav would never be told by Mathurs that we don't expect you to have kids or accused of marrying for wealth..
Naina's antagonism towards him was in response to his. He was covert and sly about it, she was overt and upfront..
Raanav, until that conversation in London, has never been remotely apologetic of his or his mum's stance on Naina.. not even on Lohri. Their convo on Lohri was more about Naina giving him the benefit of doubt.
I could go on.. but long story, short point is I don't suddenly expect him to change or fight his mom. But he doesn't receive as much negativity in this relationship. Hence, I feel this is easier for him.
To expect that a marriage be insulated from influences due to family and surroundings is unrealistic, I feel, especially when you live with them or see them often.
Also, his prejudices towards others.. aren't Satyen and Smrita struggling with the same? Satyen was probably okay to look the other way with Smrita's attitude but now he can't, when it's affecting his son's marriage.
Raanav and Viveka started off with his attitude towards her family..
“Arey who bahut lazy hain, Ma ko dikhane ke liye he will do OK? When she is not in town he will always have some pain” 🤣 So cute ♥️
