“Eggs and toast sound good? “

“And I don’t have to make it?” “WOWW” she smiled at him

Ha Ha!! Add some fruits and fresh cream and it's Gourmet Nourishing luxury! A little indulgence we all deserve, could do with now and then! Gender unspecific, class unspecific, race unspecific.... cos it's basic, yet what we need.....FOOD🤣

Hi! I'm sorry, I meant to reply to you sooner.. but it slipped my mind.

I totally agree that Raanav is putting more efforts in their relationship, he's more forthcoming and more invested.

Viveka's attitude towards the marriage sometimes seems very impersonal to me.. like she sees this only as a temporary arrangement!

My only point was to emphasize that this is easier for Raanav!

Viveka didn't slander Rakshit ever, or for whatever it's worth.. even Inder or Smrita!

She's made efforts with both Smrita and Lekha. We saw how that went..

The few times she's spoken about Smrita's attitude, he's accused her of hating on his mum.

Raanav would never be told by Mathurs that we don't expect you to have kids or accused of marrying for wealth..

Naina's antagonism towards him was in response to his. He was covert and sly about it, she was overt and upfront..

Raanav, until that conversation in London, has never been remotely apologetic of his or his mum's stance on Naina.. not even on Lohri. Their convo on Lohri was more about Naina giving him the benefit of doubt.

I could go on.. but long story, short point is I don't suddenly expect him to change or fight his mom. But he doesn't receive as much negativity in this relationship. Hence, I feel this is easier for him.

To expect that a marriage be insulated from influences due to family and surroundings is unrealistic, I feel, especially when you live with them or see them often.

Also, his prejudices towards others.. aren't Satyen and Smrita struggling with the same? Satyen was probably okay to look the other way with Smrita's attitude but now he can't, when it's affecting his son's marriage.

Raanav and Viveka started off with his attitude towards her family..

Precisely why one SHOULD NOT enter the institution of marriage , because a good man from the same antagonistic family emotionally blackmailed you to.

In an ideal world, only grace and compassion can give you insulation but when we don't have it, isolation is not a bad path to be on. She needn't work on her relationship with her mother in law or her co sister if it's not reciprocated, she just needs to work on her relationship with him. The journey is theirs.

The only strong insulation that Anu has is Akash. Viveka can make Raanav hers if she can give more to their marriage

Smrita just had to say it didn't she? Don't feel you have to meet all his friends. We women know what that means. Don't mingle with his social circle. Stay out of it.

“Fools in love”

She took another nap, and showered and found a gold bead earring set she had brought and wore one of those as a nose ring teaming it up with a blue silk kaftan

When she went out to the kitchen at almost Noon he was at the breakfast nook by a window working as something cooked in the oven

“Ready to eat?” he stood up walking over to the oven

“KYA banaya?”

He pulled out foil covered baking dishes of banana bread and quiche and a savory oatmeal casserole

“YOU made all this?” she was shocked

“Do you want the truth or the lie?” he asked leaning on the range with his oven mitts on

“The lie” she said softly

“I made em” he whispered

Something passed between their eyes

They both lowered their gaze

“Love the nose ring”

“I made a earring a nose ring”

He served generously

“You are a great cook” she chewed hungrily “Yeh to poora Indian recipe hai, kaise banaya?” she dug into the oatmeal

“A chef never shares his secrets”

“Right answer” she laughed

“How are you feeling Vi?”

“First day is bad”

“Is it because of the pill?”

“I don’t know… I am no longer on it”

“I did not know” he teased, his eyes twinkling reminding her that he would know what contraception she was on

“Hmm.. my husband took matters in his own hands” she burst out laughing

He laughed silently, until he gasped “U are a 5 year old”

“Hum school mein aisi baat karte the”

“We need to go see your school friends”

“We are never going back to India if we meet all friends and family”

“Sounds good to me”

“Your mother said I should not waste time meeting all of ur friends” she waved her fork

“She did huh? Did she?” he knew what that meant exactly

“Raanav will you call Inder soon? He texted me saying you have to talk to him” she said quietly

“I will not Viveka I am not going to endorse his stupidity”

“Aise kaise chalega” she looked worried

“I did not recommend he go to India”

“Hmm” but.. “You discouraged him from dating Naina, he will not let you forget it” “At some point you have to acknowledge it”

“I have Vi a million f---g times”

She was quiet

“So this whole thing is because of that”

“No this whole thing is because he is a fool” he ate quietly afterwards

They both did their own thing later

She lay in bed and read her journals

He lay by her and worked on his laptop….

Except of for your own you have no control over others action.

Viveka needs to let go.

Or her own life will be miserable.

She has to think rationally. Did Naina and Inder act the way they did after consulting Ranaav?

Why does Inder want's Ranaav now?

Didn’t he pursue Naina despite Ranaav's initial opinion ?

So what does he really want Ranaav to do?

Advocate his love for Naina? Why ?

So that tomorrow again if something goes wrong he can blame him?

Senseless and spineless man.
Ranaav don’t budge. No need to talk to him.
Let even Viveka sulk about it.

Naina is equally spineless.

She ought to clear this mess.

Viveka put on a nose ring because her husband said he liked her wearing a nose pin. Viveka keeps on about Inder but perhaps Raanav should talk to him and finish the matter. He can tell Inder to grow up and accept that Naina does not want to see him. Inder broke up with Naina after Raanav had a word with him. Was his feeling not strong for Naina? Is he a little boy that he could not make up his mind about not breaking up with Naina? She is better off without Inder and his family to whom money matters more.

Will Raanav take Viveka to meet his friends after knowing that his mother told V not to meet his friends?

Thank you, Nisha.

Inder is an adult who could have stuck to Naina if he wanted to. He broke up because Ranaav discouraged him and now blaming Ranaav for it is literally super childish.

These two will be making good progress in their relationship, even if they are taking small positive steps, then Inder-Naina issue comes up and then everything just goes back 10 steps.

Whatever happened in the past, everyone knows including Viveka.

Now what Inder and Naina are doing, it is really not Raanav's fault.

I don't get why Viv blames Raanav for it.

Raanav might have been very opiniated about Naina in the past and has influenced Inder too. But later Inder eloped with Naina and so much drama happened. I don't understand what Inder or Viv expects from Raanav now.
