Chapter 237- Children's demand

Poornima was taking down her jewellery after the wedding. One week she had enjoyed thoroughly. Yes there were some harsh remarks here and there but then one look from her dadi most of the people had gone silent. She had danced to death with Rakhee didi for the sangeeth and the lehenga she wore for the wedding won her some silent admirers also. Poornima blushed a bit. It was the first time she had felt happy getting attention from guys. But she knew she has to keep everyone strictly outside the boundaries she had set up. Her goal was not falling in love, her goal was becoming a lawyer and her eyes should never deviate from that.

It was then she heard Aakash, Nami and Adwaith behind. She turned and looked at them. For the past few days she didn't had time to spend with them. As by the time she came to room after talking with everyone they will be asleep.

" Nami you need help to remove jewellery, didi will help. Aakash, Adwaith go and change. You all look very tired " told Poornima.

The kids didn't speak anything. They just came and sat on the bed looking sullen.

Poornima kneeled in front of them

" What happened. Sad because we have to go tomorrow and from Monday you all have to go back to school" she teased.

" Suman Chachi will go away from our house " asked Nami.

Poornima was perplexed. Now where did they get such information. Maybe some women who only want to find problem with Chachi would have spoken something of that sort to the kids.

" Who told you and why should she go " asked Poornima.

" You know some children were saying dadi and dadu will marry off Suman Chachi to someone. Murali Chachu is not there right, so she will be again married and then she will have to go " told Aakash.

Poornima smiled, she had heard some conversations of that sort in hush whispers among ladies.

" So what is the problem. Don't you want Suman Chachi to look good. Don't you want her to wear colorful sarees, bangles and all. She has to be always in this simple cotton sarees" asked Poornima.

All the children bowed their head

" But then we don't want her to go " told Adwaith.

" Ok now Raji didi went, tomorrow when I am married I will go, girls will have to go to their husband's home. She will come to visit us right even if she goes " told Poornima.

" She only needs to be married right. Sreedhar Chachu can marry her. Then she need not go anywhere. She can wear colorful sarees also. She will be our chachi then also" told Nami.

Poornima looked at them shocked. From where in the world they got such ideas. Before she could talk Aakash told

" Didi, if dadu and dadi tells Sreedhar Chachu can marry Suman Chachi naa. You speak to Papa naa that we want Suman Chachi in our family only. Ask Papa and Sudhir Chachu to speak to dadi and dadu. We don't want Suman Chachi to go anywhere. We don't know why we feel that way. Suman Chachi is not like you didi, Suman Chachi is like Maa. Will Maa go away from our family. No right. Chachi also cannot go away"

Poornima looked at them. Nami was crying. Adwaith clinged to her though he didn't understand the gravity of the situation, but his face looked as if he also was of the same opinion as his elder siblings. He doesn't want Suman Chachi to go.

" Will you talk didi" Aakash held her hand pleadingly.

" Aakash these are decisions taken by elders beta. We children are not supposed to interfere" told Poornima.

" But we cannot put our wish also didi. If they don't want to listen to us it is fine. If Papa doesn't want to speak to Dadu and Dadi it is fine. If Dadu and Dadi doesn't want it, it is fine. We will not complain. " told Aakash.

" What if Sreedhar Chachu and Suman Chachi doesn't want it " asked Poornima.

" If dadu and dadi tells chachu and chachi has to listen right " told Nami.

Poornima was at loss of words how to deal with them and she knew they will pester her till she agrees to speak to Papa.

" See for the time being all of you will keep quiet. If dadi brings out anything about Suman Chachi's marriage didi will speak to Papa. Is that fine with you " Poornima managed to tell finally. Children nodded.

" Ok now everyone go change and take rest. We have to get up early in the morning. Let me go to bathroom to have a bath. All this dress has been extremely heavy for me " told Poornima and walked out taking her night dress.

But once out of the room she didn't know whether to laugh, jump or shout. She had to tell this to Sreedhar Chachu and Suman Chachi. She knew they will be on cloud nine.
