A Desi couple visited, she was here for her 25th anniversary, she works in another town, her husband is here (I took his Mom to a radiation appointment a month ago). Their son has a full ride to a university.

He lives in a fully paid off house, hes in his mid 50s. His wife works, daughter is employed. They are building a house twice as expensive as the first one in the city where the wife is currently (hoping to move there in 6 months)in
He trashed on Democrats and praised Republicans and that just got my goat. I told him "Uve got to be thankful for what you have. You have EVERYTHING in life. Your son will get a FREE Bachelors degree in this country, many Desi parents will kill to be in your shoes"
He kept on whining about how "Top Universities discriminate against Asians and admit "criminals and under performers " from "other races".

He wore his earphones, sulked, and listened to music the rest of the 40 minutes, walked up started the car and left without saying goodbye

Because I reminded him to be thankful for what HE HAS.
