hi, i did want rey to come to the wedding as per initial plan but as i wrote it, the bloody engagement kept coming back so i scrapped it off and please bear with the length this time.😊

PART 6
St Louis college corridor- one week later

Rey from one end and aashi from the other, banged into each other , both got bac, saw eachother and smiled.

"tum itni khushi khushi kisko msg karke jaarahe ho ?" rey asked her teasingly

"kyun batao aapko? Aap jealous ho kya?" she asked him back teasingly

"aashi yeh tumhara drama khatam hua na? Tho tum phir se ..." both walking together

Laugh," nahin nahin , but dekhajaaye tho aap ealous types hosakthe ho" rey lifted his eyebrows," matlab main jisse baat karrahin thi usse aap baat nahin karthe par mujhe lagtha hain ki aapko baat types karni chahiye , infact mujhe tho lagtha hain ki aapko unse baat karne ka bohot mann hain"

Rey stopped walking and loking at her questioningly," tum teek ho?"

"haan, main teek hoon par mujhe lagtha hain ki jisse main msg types karrahin thi wo teek nahin hain , jaise ki aap bhi teek nahin ho aur ..."

"okay...stop . tum kisi baat karrahin ho?" rey with a confused, amused look

"taani" rey s expression went from amused to blank to sad and back to blank in an instant. Aashi watched him and clicked her fingers in front of his eyes, her eyebrows raised, her face with a sympathetic smile.

Rey came back to earth and smiled at her," mujhe pata nahin tha ki tum taani ki touch main rehthi ho" and started walking. She joined him.

"pehle se nahin , usne meri bohot help types ki thi jab GS thi tab par kabhi friends types nahin the. par jab unko shaadi mein mili last week, tabse hoon" and held her phone up,"aur abhi bhi unka msg padrahin thi."

" kaisi hain wo?"

"khudh hi pooch lo"

"aashi...hamara breakup hochuka hain" rey smiled

Aashi shook her head," taani ne bhi yahin kahaan par kyun rey?"Rey sighed ," matlab maine aap dono ko , hum sab ne dekha ki kya hua par kyun rey?"

"i don't know aashi, meri galthi thi..." he thought for a second and shook his head ," ab chodo. Tum batao, kaisi hain wo?"

"acchi rehne ki koshish mein kamiyaab types horahin hain", rey asked kya with his hands," teek hain. shayad aapko expect kararhin thi "

"usne kuch kahaan?"

"nahin main itni bhi close types nahin hoon.. jis tarah se wo dikhi mujhe bas aisa laga" she smiled at him " they had reached the classroom and the guys in the classroom saw them together, grinning started their chemistry act... both of them didn't see that but rey smiled back at aashi saying,"but one thing, main sach mein jealous hoon ki tum usse baat karrahin ho" the guys heard him say that line and exchanged glances as both rey and aashi laughed.

Swayams place

Message beeps, - bhai please mail check karo. Maine apna project ka draft bheja hain.kuch help chahiye tha. aur wedding ke snaps bhi.

Swayam got up and opend his laptop looking preoccupied. doorbell ring. Swayam opened the door -rey

"hi! Kya hain? tumhaara aur Sharon ka fight hua tho mujhse baat kyun nahin karrahe ho?"

"aisa kuch nahin hain rey. Aur tu baahar se hi mujpe chilla kyun rahaan hain?andhar tho aa"

Coming inside and standing in front of him," chal andher aagaya.ab chillaooo?"

"very funny. Kuch urgent kaam tha kya? Agar nahin tho main ek mail khatam karoon?"

" ill wait you carry on" and both sat on one of those sofas, swayam sat in front of laptop and read for a while getting impressed,"rey yeh dekh " Both of them read it together.

"this is good - itna clarity aur itna simple bhi . par yeh tum kisliye karrahe ho?"

"main nahin taani karrahin hain. usko yeh jaanna tha ki kis jagah project karsakthi hain - wo papa ki office mein nahin karna chahthi thi." Rey looked back at the screen and the draft- i knew it, agar wo 100% apna mind lagayegi tho itna wonderful piece hi aayega. He felt a rush of pride in taani

swayam taking the laptop was about to close ,"oh ya, snaps.." and opened the folder that taani had sent. (imagine the engagement waala taani snaps, alone with others, with gang...) swayam did a quick round and was about to close ," swayam, taani teek hain kya?" rey

"kyun kya hua? "

"nahin " rey opened one where one taani s close shot showed her lost and cheerless . though she was smiling, her eyes were blank.." aashi ne kahaan ki..she was fine par she s looking ..."

"fine "swayam cut him," rey yeh photo hain aur waise bhi.." he closed the laptop but with a force not required," shaadi mein thoda bohot rona bantha hain" he repeated taani s lame excuse

"kya hua?"

"kuch nahin. Kuch hai hi nahin batane ko" by then swayams irritation was clearly evident in his voice

" phir Itna irritated kyun ho? Sharon problem hain ya kuch aur? "

"nahin matlab haan...matlab..." he looked at rey , something looked familiar - as if he had seen rey somewhere sometime..but of course he had. He saw rey everyday. Rey waved his hand in front of him and asked ," what?

"Sharon nahin, matlab...look rey wo baat alag hain , main abh uski baare mein baat nahin karrahaan hoon"

"dude tu kisike bhi baare mein baat nahin arrahaan hain, nahin Sharon ke baare mein nahin taani ke baare mein kuch batarahaan hain. kya hua? Batana"

As he looked at rey, swayam got a glimpse of taani in the wedding , the expectant smile on her face whic h had vanished in a second as she realised that rey hadn't come with them, the struggle that went on to keep her expressions same in front of everyone and the unfinished conversation he had with her before she left. -agar rey ko aana hota tho wo zaroor aathe- she was not fine

"mujhe nahin pata ki mujhe tujhse (stressing on tujhse) yeh baat karni chahiye ya nahin par aadat hogayi hain rey, tumse har baat karne ki... i don't now ki kya baat hain but somethings wrong and jab maine usse poochne ki koshish ki tho usne ignore kardiya. I know ki main usse yeh...yeh..."

"boyfriend " rey helped. swayam got up and started pacing up and down

"haan wo sab baatein avoid kartha hoon par this time she.. " he was struggling to put into words what he felt seeing taani. Rey sat waiting for him to find words his expression showing his concern.

" i mean wo sad rehthi yeh main samj saktha hoon..par ...itna simple nahin hain ..

"swayam tuje pata hain ki tu bol kya rahaan hain" swayam looked at him with his serious look and sat next to him

"rey, wo sab kuch normally karrahin hain jaisi ki college,projects sab "seeing rey s confused look ," I mean main jaantha hoon ki jab dil tootha hain tho kaisa lagtha hain .. and i cant understand ki wo itni normal kaise hosakthi hain"

"tho tu kya chahtha hain? hamara breakup ko itne months hogaye swayam. "swayam, wo strong hain. i totally understand kit u kya kehna ki koshish karrahaan hain but seriously swayam wo tough hain .she can take care of herself , don't worry. Usse akele sab kuch handle karne ki aadat hogayi hain " rey replied unconvincingly and pointed to the laptop," uski project dekh"

Swayam looked at him in surprise, "waise mujhe laga ki tum zyaada worried hoge but yahaan tho tumhe zyaada confidence hain taani par"

"us confidence ke liye hi tho breoakup kiya tha " rey smiled sadly," .Maybe she is just ...okay"

Swayam remembered taani s dissappointed look "tu okay hain kya?"Rey shrugged," yeh sirf ek breakup nahin hain taani ke liye , nahin rey, aur tab tu uske saamne hi tha par ab nahin hain. look rey i hope im wrong but wo teek nahin hain... "wo apne saare feelings ignore kararhin hain bas..infact tum..." and stopped looking at rey who looked miserable. And he realised where he had seen the look before - it was on taani s face as she hid her feelings from his dad," yeh main kya karrahoon hoon rey ke saath yeh sab baatein " he thought guiltily

" rey im sorry main tumhe kkuch blame nahin..."

"i know .."rey cut him short, "tho ab kya karne ka plan tha"

" kya plan hosaktha hain? bas i was worried"

Rey said abruptly " tho main chaltha hoon, good night" and gave swayam the usual rey-swayam hug

"thanks" both said at the same time and laughed
