taani s apartment corridor

And the phone went off. Rey - isko abhi off hone tha! and he heard some noise like someone coming up the stairs, forgetting all about the mobile , he turned waiting , in anticipation of seeing taani come up anytime. A big carton appeared in front of him , masking the person carrying it. as it was about to fall, he moved fwds and held it and helped the person to put the carton on the floor in front of the door . the person turned out to be the guy from taani s college who was working with her( for my life i cant think of a name for him sorry he s just some GUY ) he smiled and said thanks

"gira kya?" taani s voice came in from behind the guy and saw rey standing in front of her and thr guy. She had a huge bag in her hand as well. She shook her head with force and continued talking," main doosra waala leke aao? Ya phir yeh andher rahke ..."

Didn't she see me? " taani "

"rey?" taani looked straight at him and stared,"aap sach mein ho?" he nodded, she went to him tripping as she walked over her bag, dropped the bag on the floor and touched his hand," aap sach mein ho? mujhe laga main..." and stopped getting completely flustered. Rey stared at her taking in her confusion and felt a lightness as he had not felt in ages.

she looked taking in his tired look , his backpack and looked around," bhai kahaan hain?"

"swayam nahin aaya" she looked at him fully for the first time and met his eye trying to digest the fact that he really was in front of her," main akela aaya hoon"

"kya hua? Bhai teek haina? " she asked worried

"swayam ko kuch nahin hua, main bas aise hi aaya" looking at the guy wondering who he was at taani s apartment so late in the night

"kaise?" she asked

"drove down"

"drove? Aapki gaadi mein?" he nodded," saath gante ?"

"nahin bas 5 and a half" taani felt an unexplained sudden anger surge through her though her voice came out soft , " aap kyun aaye?" she asked still looking at him. Rey didn't reply immediately. The guy looked from one to the other.

"u know him?" the guy. Taani looked at the guy and trying to calm herself replied, "nahin, i mean haan... yeh mere bhai ke best friend hain, rey" she introduced making rey look at her in disappointment ," aur yeh XXX , mere GS."

The guy put his hand out and said Hi while rey tried to smile back and ignore taani saying mere GS- who was this anyway?

"nice meeting you but we were really short of time, taani wo doosra carton..."

"haan chaliye le aathe hain"

"nahin u keep this inside and main le aaooonga, waise bhi tum wo uthaa nahin paaogi tum thak gayi ho aaj , rey can you help her with this please? " rey noted the concern in the guys tone

"yes of course," rey replied dropping his bag before taani could refuse, the guy went down while taani opened the door, she was far more calmer than she had been two minutes before , she held the door open and rey brought the carton in and both of them placed it in one corner.taani without taling went out to fetch her bag, rey followed her to find the guy up with another smaller box which he placed on the floor.

" yeh sab tumhaara stuff hain? " he asked the guy ...the guy catching the sarcasm in his voice said smilingly," nahin yeh hamara dance/drama costumes hain and bcoz the college s closed now aur taani ke ghar paas mein that ho isne permission dedi yeh sab yahaan rakhne ki," he turned to her," thanks a million taani. You were a real help this time. Tho chalo main chaltha hoon, take rest , kal bohot busy honewaala hain" she smiled at him genuinely

He turned to rey," see you, are you around tomorrow? If you are , college fest hain, you can come along"

"i don't know " rey looked at taani who did not seem to be hearing anything of what was happening," thanks anyway" feeling a little guilty for his jealousy

" Hope to see you" and patting taani on the shoulder- which made rey follow his hand - he left

Rey turned facing taani ready for anything, she lifted her bag turned , picked up reys backpack and gesturing to the box which was on the floor," please yeh utake andher rakh deejiye" and walked in. He followed with the box and kept it in with the other one.

"rey, aap fresh hojao" and pointed to the room. When he opened his mouth to speak," please rey, Saath gante ki drive ko sade paanchgante mein aane ki baad thoda tiredness tho aapko bhi hogi, so please." her voice held a finality as she gave him his backpack.
