Part 16:

After two years of living with a fake identity, I felt truly alive while seeing Nanhi and Beera. I couldn't have asked for anything better than this. I am glad that my Chavvanni has not changed one bit. She has lived up to my expectations. Probably for the first time in life, I felt proud that Beera proved me suspicions wrong. He loves Nanhi and will care for her all his life.

Nanhi snapped me out of my thoughts, "Spiderman, I don't understand one thing. When you gt well, why didn't you come home?"

There it was. The dreaded question. Being a journalist, I was used to handling questions. Sometime weird, sometimes intelligent ones. But how do you answer a question that tears you in two, three, four, many directions?

Nanhi, unaware of my internal struggle continued, "You could have at least called to let us know you were fine. You know, Ma was so sad to hear the news. If not for Rimjhim, I thought she would never recover from that phase."

The mention of Megha and Rimjhim acted as stronger pull of my heart in one direction than others.

Without anyone stopping her, Chavvani poured the words, "When Addu moved in with Ma, then she got busy with both her kids and focused on their smiles. She has never done that before me but I know she cries secret..."

Addu. Aditya Vyas Bhatnagar. I never knew a name has hurt and heal you. As Nanhi kept on talking, each word she said had an effect on me, good or bad. It was like my heart was being pulled in various directions, with each name mentioned, that side would get stronger for a while and then another side will take over. Bottom line: it tore my heart apart.

Beera gave the final touch, "Sirji, come home with us."

I could feel my heart fall apart is pieces. I had pieced my heart together after the accident, immersed in work so that I could forget, at least for time being, the family I craved for. All my life I wanted to know the facts and now it hurt. I can only crave for this family; and like cravings should be, I can't get it. Why?

Because of

One Fact. One Person. One Promise.

Mohan's pov!!
Ohh how all this takes me back to mohan's death scene!! It literally tears my heart apart to think abt that episode!!
If that one thing hadnt happend things would have been so different!! We wouldnt have lost our mohan in the final days of nbt!!
Heck i m getting too senti!! Great update.. i m eagerly waiting for mm encounter.. plss make it super dhaasu and punish that criminal for his sins!!

Thank you. That should happen but right now my focus is not on that criminal. Its about Mohan and his wo years away from his family. This being the first part with Mohan pov, i want to yes the response. If its good i will give another two updates until he is ready to face and answer Nanhi's question.

such and wonderful ff and truly justifies the name of it the promise . you are a wonderful writer i must say again i wonder that why season 2 had not beeen as god as your story just awesome and yes i also write so if you take my advice just focus on family part first . good job keep writing

Its so heartwrenching to see him in so much pain...how his heart aches to go back to his family...his Megha his Jaan 😒
Hope the truth about Addu comes out soon & Mohan returns back with Nanhi & Beera & they live happily ever after
