Part 9
The next morning at Raizada Mansion,Arnav joined the dining table with the rest of the family.Almost everybody seemed to be talking at the same time.It seemed to be a very important discussion.
"Good morning everyone.What are you all talking about"asked Arnav taking a seat.Everybody wished him the same and stopped talking.
"Well..I am leaving today to go to Lucknow for a month because our company there needs some support but I am not sure how I am going to handle our company here"Arjun told Arnav.Arjun leaving Raizada Mansion was a usual thing because he had many companies to look after but he usually left for a week or two.
"Oh okay...well good luck then"said Arnav taking a toast and putting butter on it.Suddenly he stopped.
"Wait..Lucknow!"Arnav exclaimed dropping his toast on his plate and standing up.
Everybody looked at Arnav sensing his small outburst.Arjun raised his eyebrows as if asking what the problem was.Arnav seeing everyone stare at him,sat down.
"Ya Lucknow"confirmed Arjun.
"How about I go instead?"said Arnav hoping his father would agree.
Arnav joined the business with Arjun two years ago when he was 21 years old.He did what he could.Arjun got Aman as Arnav's personal secretary to help him.Arnav was literally 50% owner of all the companies run by his father and him.The other 50% belonged to Arjun as Anjali,(Arnav's sister who is happily married to Samrat.The couple live in Raizada Mansion as Samrat thought it would keep Anjali happy as his parents died a few years ago.) didn't want to be mixed into the business.
"I don't know Arnav.Will you be able to manage alone?"asked an unsure Arjun.
"Of course dad and I will also have Aman by my side whenever I need help.Plus I will be somewhat independent"
"Hmm I guess"
"Great I will get packing!"exclaimed Arnav getting up and running up to his room before anybody could stop him.
"Great!Just great!Now my son has become just like his father!A workaholic!My worst nightmare!"said Priya Raizada (Arnav's mother) covering her face with her hands,clearly disappointed.
"Oh come on.It isn't that bad!"said Arjun chuckling.
"Ya right! Next you'll see he won't have time for his family and will begin making excuses saying he's busy with work just like you used to"
"Hey..I lied only to my family saying I was busy so I could spend time with you without anyone disturbing us"
Priya blushed a bright shade of red while the family burst into laughter.

Khushi woke up hearing her cell phone ring.Her back ached.She realized she fell asleep against the wall.She looked at her cell phone and read 'Preety'.Khushi stood up and stretched and answered the call.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE BACK?????!!!!!!!!!!Oh Khushi I missed you so much ever since you went to Delhi.I heard you came back yesterday!Lets go out somewhere together to catch up with old times and I am not taking no for an answer.See you at Dreams Cafe in 20 minutes"then she cut the call.
Khushi sighed and gave a small smile.Preety was her best friend.She couldn't wait to see her.Khushi got ready in 10 minutes in a green anarkali and made sure she locked up everything and put it in the closet.She looked at the closed door of her father's bedroom.Khushi walked up to his door and knocked.
"Dad,I am going to go meet Preety and don't know when I'll be back"
"Like I care"the response came.
Khushi turned and told herself not to take that to heart.She took the cab and arrived at Dreams Cafe.Khushi waved to a girl with brown hair and was wearing a dark blue anarkali.The girl ran to Khushi and hugged her.
"I missed you sooo much Khushi"said the girl.
"I missed you too Preety"
"Lets sit and catch up"
Khushi smiled and agreed.

Arnav had already packed his bags.He was bidding goodbye to everyone.
"Chottey,do you have to go?I mean you just came yesterday!"whined Priya.
"Ya chottey!"agreed Anjali.
"Sorry guys but it's important"said Arnav thinking of Khushi.
"Speaking of important,when are you planning to get married.You are 23 and are turning 24 next month"complained Priya.
"Don't worry mom...you'll get what you want"said Arnav smirking.Before anybody could question him,he turned and left.
"What does he mean by that"questioned Priya.
"There's something very suspicious mom"said Anjali.
"I agree"said Samrat.
"I got it! How about Samrat and I go to Lucknow and follow Chottey to see if anything's suspicious"offered Anjali.
"But what about Pari?"said Priya
Pari was Anjali's and Samrat's one year old daughter.
"How about we bring her with us?"said Samrat.
"Perfect"agreed Anjali.
"Oh how I love a good mystery"said Samrat rubbing his hands together.He was lawyer..The ladies chuckled.
"Time to get packing"said Anjali and Samrat grinning.

Arnav couldn't wait to meet Khushi.He had missed her so much in less than 24 hours.He wanted to go up to her and tell her he loves her just like he did in his dream he had during camp.He wondered what her reaction would be.
"Sir we are here"said the driver.
He got out and saw a big mansion..almost as big as Raizada Mansion.He took out his stuff and gave it to the servants to shift.Suddenly he realized that he didn't think this through.He didn't know how to approach Khushi or where or when.He had to think of something.His phone suddenly rang.
"Hello..."

"You are getting engaged! When? To who?"asked an excited Khushi.
"Actually tonight at 6:30 to Daksh"answered Preety.
"TONIGHT!So exciting! Is it a love marriage"
"Yes"
"You didn't tell me! Congrats!"
"Yeah,and you better come"
"Definitely!"Khushi looked at the time.It was 4:30."Preety you better go home and begin getting ready.I'll meet you at 6:30"
"No Khushi.I am coming with you to your house until you are ready and then we'll go to my house and you will help me get ready"
Khushi didn't want Preety to know about her father's behaviour towards her.
"Preety how about I meet you in half an hour at your house and help you then"
"Um...not a bad idea,okay"
"Great see you in half an hour"
The girls went to their separate homes.In half an hour,Khushi arrived at Preety's house.
Khushi
"Wow Khushi you look so pretty"complimented Preety.
"Thanks but now let's make you prettier"said Khushi grinning.

Arnav arrived in a beautiful white sherwani.
"Arnav"yelled a man across the hall.He ran up Arnav and hugged him."Where are you nowadays?I never get to see you.Thank god you at least came my engagement"
"Oh come on Daksh.I just never got the time.Anyways congrats on your engagement.Who are you getting married to?"said Arnav smiling,happy for his friend.
"I am getting married to Preety.It's a love marriage"
"Congrats!"
"Thanks.Have a look around.Maybe you'll find somebody to fall in love with"said Daksh leaving,chuckling.
"Too bad,because the heart is already taken"whispered Arnav smiling.
"Arnav?"whispered a shocked voice.
Arnav could recognize that voice anywhere.Khushi!He turned to see her in his favourite color.It looked so good on her.
"You're so beautiful Angel"said Arnav gazing at her.
Khushi blushed "You look pretty handsome too Arnav"
Arnav smiled and took a step towards her."Angel,there has been something I have been wanting to say to you for quite a while"
"What is it Arnav?"
"I love you Angel"said Arnav looking straight into her eyes.Khushi gasped.Then she smiled.
"Very funny Arnav"said Khushi thinking he was joking."For a second there I thought you really meant it"
"But I do Khushi"looking every bit serious.He only called her by her real name when he was serious.Khushi looked into his deep brown eyes to see any hint of mischief but when she found none she said
"But Arnav,I thought you didn't believe in love"
"I didn't before..but ever since I met you,love and you are the only things that I think about"
Arnav took a step forward and Khushi took one step backward only to find herself almost falling down the stairs which were beautifully decorated.Fortunately Arnav caught her hand and hauled her up bringing her close to him that they could feel each other's breath.They gazed into each other's eyes as if they saw nothing else.Arnav set his gaze upon Khushi's lips and looked back into her eyes.He bent down bringing his lips down close to hers.She closed her eyes and parted her lips in response breathing heavily.
"Angel"Arnav whispered one inch away from her lips.
"Khushi"yelled Preety "Where are you?"
Khushi pushed Arnav away and ran away from there.
"Angel"whispered Arnav as her sari's pallu slipped from his fingers.
