Ok everyone! here is the next part- but first a quick review of important facts because its been so long since I updated!

- Angad met Mahek 8 years ago
- Mahek fell down the stairs- she went to hospital and everyone thought she died....but Angad now thinks Kashish is Mahek because they look alike
- Ejaz is married to Ruby but they dont love each other
-Ejaz was engaged to Kashish but broke it off. Kashish got stuck in burning apartment, it was ruled suicide and everyone thought she died- Kashish and Mahek went to hospital same night
-Mahek and Angad got married 3 years ago....Mahek fell down stairs on wedding night
-Ruby is pretending she doesnt know Angad now, but was his best friend before he married Mahek
- Himani is Ruby's sister and knows about everything that happened....but she doesnt agree with it at all.
- Ruby has tried to kill Kashish, she caused the fire 3 years ago, and is still trying to kill Kashish because Ejaz loves her
-Kashish believes she is not Mahek but still told Angad that she is...Angad has not seen the DNA reports and neither have we 😉
-The papers that Himani gave Kashish that give info about her past are under the sheets in the hospital bed- Kashish read them....Ejaz saw them and hid them under the sheets- he doesnt know that anyone read them and wonders who gave them to Kashish

-Kashish looks just like Mahek, Angad has remarked on this before


PART 16

Kashish and Angad remained in each other's arms for some time...After a while, they pulled apart and wiped each other's tears..."Lets leave from here...there are too many bad memories. Come to my home- our home! I want my wife, I want you there...I want us to be together again! Whatever this hospital has done, we can forget. We can pretend it never happened. We have each other again. So, lets forget the rest! Here you go get into your normal clothes and I will get your stuff together." Angad said and stood up. Kashish couldnt help herself as tears fell from her eyes- she had never felt so loved...she could never remember being loved like this.

Kashish smiled at Angad and walked into the bathroom to change. Suddenly, she turned back and said, "I love you." Angad smiled and his vision blurred with tears..."I love you too," he replied.

"Oh wait!! You are going to the bathroom to change clothes, but I didnt even give you anything to wear! But dont worry, I bought something for you from the shop nearby when you were sleeping! Here it is." Angad scooped up a bag from the corner and gave it to Kashish. "Dont look yet, just go change," Angad added.

Kashish smiled again and turned into the bathroom.

In the room, Angad gathered all the stuff on the side table and chair. He moved the sheets around to see if he forget anything of Kashish's....he heard something rustle- like paper. Angad ran his hand across the bed and felt something under the sheets. Quickly, he pulled up the bedding and saw a pile of papers stuck underneath. He grabbed the files and was about to look at them when Kashish came out of the bathroom. He stuffed them into the bag with the rest of Kashish's things and pushed the sheets back into place.

"How do I look Angad?" Kashish asked and looked away shyly....Angad was dazzled...Kashish was wearing a white sari...It had gold flowers and leaves embroidered on the edges and tiny stones all over sparkled in the light. Kashish was glowing and looked like a white rose herself- pure and beautiful....Angad held in his breath and blushed at his thoughts..."You look absolutely beautiful dear," Angad finally managed to say.

Kashish turned red and tried to change the subject..."Shall we go now?" She asked...Angad nodded his head and took her hand. He smiled and they walked out together- hoping they could leave their past, their misery, their failures behind like they left the hospital and start a new life....but Kashish knew this was a dream only. Omg...Angad is taking me to his home, but I am not Mahek!! Even the DNA report said so....If Angad sees it...I cant play this game with him, but I want it to be true! I want to be his Mahek! I want to be his love!! If I tell him the truth he wont love me ever....But how can I pretend to be his wife? We arent married....God, please help me!...

As soon as Angad got the papers saying Kashish could leave the hospital the two headed to his car. Both were lost in their own thoughts- Angad imagining all he would do with his long lost wife and Kashish worrying about her lie......

Inside the hospital---

Nurse Himani walked through the halls checking on patients. She stopped at Kashish's old room. It was being cleaned for the next patient. Himani sadly watched and wondered...I wonder what the girl did- was she able to take the truth? I wish I had never helped Ejaz and Ruby. I know they are wrong...but what can I do now? Who will believe me...we got rid of the evidence...the only evidence is Kashish and I dont want to ruin her life anymore.....did she even read all of the papers? I wonder if she knows how she ended up looking like Mahek...I gave her the reports too...if she read them she will understand what happened between the accident and when she woke up in the hospital.....I wish I could tell her how sorry I am...

---The truth was that Kashish had not seen the reports yet and didnt still didnt realize what had happened after the fire started and when she woke up.....----

Himani glanced once more into the now empty room and started walking over to the main desk to see where she was needed. Lost in her thoughts, she did not pay attention to where she was going....

"OMG I am sorry Sir! I didnt see you!" Himani said...she had run into a man...The man looked up at her and Himani blushed....He had such a cute face and bright eyes...Himani liked him instantly and smiled, "I am sorry Sir...." she repeated. The man looked back at her and replied, "Its ok Nurse..ITs also my fault- I saw you but didnt bother to move out of the way- you could say I wanted to run into you 😉!" Himani looked down and both started laughing. "By the way, can you help me? My name his Abhi short for Abhishek...out of love people call me Abhi, so I hope you will too 😉 ," he said. Himani couldnt help but keep laughing at his flirting and his sweet open manner.

"Yes I can help you, Abhi...My name is Himani....and out of love- still Himani! What do you need?" Himani replied. "Well you see my sister was in this hospital a long time ago...she died....Her name was Kashish. For a second I saw the list of patients and read the name KASHISH KHANA and I was thinking of her, but her last name was Kapoor. Well it couldnt have been her anyway, because she died three years ago in a fire. I wanted to know more about her and see any info or files you might still have on her," Abhi said.

Himani's face fell... Oh now this...why do I have to go through this? Now what do I tell him? Do I tell him that he is wrong that Kashish is alive and that Kashish Khana is Kashish Kapoor? How do I tell him that we gave her a new identity and changed her name!!?!?! I dont want to keep lying....But he wont even recognize Kashish now after we changed her...after the fire....What do I do?....

"Himani? Himani? Are you ok? Is something wrong?" Abhi asked. "No no sir, I mean Abhi...I am fine- I was just trying to remember the patient, your sister. I think we might have some information on her, but maybe not- its been 3 years," Himani replied. Abhi turned his face away to hide his disappointment and Himani bit her lip in anger at herself for lying. "I am sorry, I wish I could help you out though," Himani added.

"Actually you can, I am new to this city, to this state! Do you think when your shift ends you could show me around? Maybe have dinner?" Abhi blushed at his boldness...he had never asked someone out so quickly, but he couldnt help himself. Himani was stunned but excited..."Well...Yes I would love to show you around and have dinner, but now I have to go!" Himani answered! She rushed away shyly but turned back for a moment to say, "I will be off in an hour- see you then!"

Abhi smiled and watched Himani walk away.....


ANGAD's APARTMENT

Kashish and Angad hadnt said anything since they left the hospital and as they walked up the stairs now into Angad's apartment their hearts kept beating faster. Angad unlocked the door and it swung open...Kashish stood in front of the doorway and looked into the darkness. Only the twinkling city lights that shown through the windows gave any light. Angad flipped the light switch and the room was flooded with brightness. Kashish stepped around nervously...It was going to be 10:00 PM and Kashish was very weak..."I think we should just sleep now...you had a long day," Angad said softly. Kashish nodded her head and watched Angad put down the bag with all of her stuff. "I am going to go change clothes, would you please sit down until then?? Go ahead and rest on the bed." Angad stated as he walked into the bathroom. Kashish's heart was beating so quickly and loudly she thought it would burst through her chest....She sat down on the bed and noticed the sheets were a mess. She got up and tried to smooth them out...Angad came out of the bathroom but she didnt notice him...She tried tucking one of the sheets under the mattress to keep it in place, but couldnt lift it. Angad came up behind her and put his arms around Kashish and tucked the sheet under. Kashish felt her breath stop as she tried to stand up straight and fell back into Angad...He kept his hands around her and felt her tense up. He squeezed her tighter and took a deep breath...Kashish tried to move away in her nervousness, but her achal (i think thats what its called- the part that goes over ur shoulder) slipped over her shoulder and to the floor and as she tried to step away she tripped over it. Angad grabbed her and kept her from falling. She looked up at him and he smiled. His hands were warm against her cold skin. "I love you Mahek," Angad whispered into Kashish's ear. Those words made Kashish freeze but she didnt stop Angad as he lifted her up into his arms and placed her gently on the bed. She closed her eyes in sadness, wonder, happiness??? Angad switched off the lights and Kashish let her thoughts drown away as she lost herself in Angad's arms..... 😉


What did they do to Kashish in the hospital after the fire? Why did they give her a new name? Does Kashish realize her last name has been changed? What will happen to the papers Angad found under the sheets? Will he read them? What will happen when Angad finds out that Kashish is not Mahek? What is going on with Abhi and Himani? Stay tuned!
