PART 17

Himani walked up to the exit of the hospital and saw Abhi leaning against the door 😳. " I hope you didnt forget our plans...because I have been waiting for every second of this hour to go by so I could let my eyes rest on your face 😉 ." Himani smiled and put her hand in his outstretched one. He smiled back and opened the door for her- they walked out....


OUTSIDE: "Since I am showing you around, how about if we go in my car?" Himani asked. Abhi nodded his head and they walked towards Himani's car. I cant believe I am doing this...I only know him for a few moments....How can I trust him?? Is it because I feel I owe him that I am letting myself be so open with him?? I dont know but I have an odd feeling about all of this.... Himani's mind was a pool of confusion. Both sat down in the car and Himani started driving towards a restaurant for dinner. Abhi chattered away aimlessly......

1 Hour and 30 MINUTES LATER--

Restaurant- Abhi and Himani were seated inside an Italian Restaurant and had finished eating. Abhi smiled and said, "I have really enjoyed tonight...but something still keeps bugging me. I know we have just met but I feel like I can trust you. I dont understand how my sister died. I know she wouldnt commit suicide. She is not that kind of girl. And she shared everything with me. In fact the day before her reported death she called me to say she was happily engaged to a ...to a man named Ejaz. I dont understand why the next way she would kill herself. Thats why I was finally able to come here and get some free time from work so I did. I wanted to find out more but I guess the hospital cant help."

Coldness gripped Himani and her fingers dug into her chair. She tried to blink away the fear in her eyes but it wouldnt go. She took a deep breath and replied, "Perhaps I could help you. Perhaps there is something else to know about what happened to your sister. Maybe I can try and look through all the records. It could have all gotten mixed up. I will try and find out."

Abhi stared at Himani and asked, "Are you hiding something?? You seem nervous and anxious." Himani couldnt take it anymore and blew up, "IS that why you brought me here?? To find out about your sister??!! Is that all you care about?? You played with my feelings so that I could come and tell you that your sister is alive and her name is Kashish Khanna??!!!" --------Himani stopped and stared into Abhi's shocked face........


Back to Kashish and Angad- Kashish pulled herself out from under Angad's arm. It was only just past 10 PM...She slipped out and grabbed Angad's shirt off of the bed and put it on herself. The cold tiles sent tingles of awakening shock up her feet and spine as she walked to the window. Kashish pulled aside the curtain and stared at the full moon in the sky. It cast a silver glow on Kashish's face...As tears slipped from her eyes they shone in the moonlight. What have I done? I lost control of my emotions...But do I regret anything?? No I dont....I feel so lucky to have been with Angad as long as I have been....I wouldnt change anything about it except the part where the DNA report says I am not Mahek...I wish I was....She was so lucky and lost Angad because she thought he cheated on her! Oh if she were here now she would know how much he really loves her...God now what do I do?? Do I keep on pretending? He will hate me now...

"Kashish..." Angad softly said in a hushed tone. His voice was heavy and wrapped around Kashish like a blanket but her stomach felt like it was floating in the clouds. Kashish quickly wiped her face before turning towards Angad, but he wouldnt have seen her tears anyway.....

"ANGAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Angad's eyes closed as he fell forward to the floor. "ANGAD!!!" Kashish called again. She turned to look away from his still body to the man standing in front of her now.

"Ejaz?"

Did Angad die? Is he alive? Why is Ejaz there? What is going on? What is Abhi up to? Did he really use Himani? Now what will happen that Himani told him about Kashish??
