PART 15

Ruby walked back into the hospital looking for her husband Dr. Ejaz...."Are you ready to go?" she asked when she finally ran into him. "Yes but you go where ever you want, and I am going out to meet with friends," Ejaz said sharply.

The two began walking towards their cars...

Ruby- "Whats wrong with you Ejaz? We are husband and wife! How dare you talk so rudely to me!"

Ejaz- "Husband and wife? What wife? A woman like you cant be a wife or a daughter, a mother or a sister."

Ruby- "Ejaz I swear, you better watch your tounge or else!"

Ejaz- "Or else what? Will you try to burn me as well? Will you try to kill me? Well go ahead I dont care if you succeed. My marriage to you has already been a living death for me. Just finish the job!"

Ruby was shocked and Ejaz furious. He stepped up to the door of his car and put the key in the lock....Just as he was unlocking it Ruby placed her hand on his shoulder and said, "Why would I burn you?? I need you. You are not disposable trash like Kash..."

Ejaz turned around and raised his hand to hit her but stopped himself, "You are not worth this slap even. Touching you would make me lower than you. Only God can punish you now. And dont ever take Kashish's name again. You think that I dont know you were the one who tried to kill Kashish? You think I dont know that she didnt try to commit suicide but that you burned her apartment down? I know and just because I havent done anything yet doesnt mean I have forgotten. It burns inside of me and everytime I look at Kashish I feel ashamed knowing that I am part of the reason her life is the way it is now. If only it was you in that fire!!"

As Ejaz turned back to his car, Ruby grabbed his arm and jerked him back to look her again, "I tried to kill Kashish then and I will try again. One day I will succeed. What I want, I get...always! She is a road block and must be removed!"

Ejaz stared at her and anger and tears pooled up in his eyes! "Yes I know you will keep trying. Dont ever think that I dont know what you are doing. I know you were behind that incident today in the hospital where Kashish's life support wires were torn apart. And how is she a road block now? We are married now! That was what we both wanted for our selfish reasons. We needed each other. Now I think if I could go back in time I would never have married you no matter how far it would have taken me. I would rather have been a nobody but married to Kashish instead of you. You got what you wanted. Why do you still want me?"

Ruby laughed and replied, "I never get rid of anything that can be useful to me still. And if you arent useful, then I promise Kashish wont last at all. You havent seen me try my hardest yet to get rid of her." Ruby smiled and walked over to her car. As she got in she made one last look back at Ejaz and mockingly gave him a flying kiss. Ejaz was disgusted and got in his car. As he slammed the door shut he began sobbing. His rage and frustration came out in his tears.....

Moments later, both of them left the hospital parking lot....Inside the hospital, another revelation was being made.

Kashish sat up in the bed and watched the nurses walk by. She turned towards Angad and stared at him as he slept...Oh he looks so innocent as he sleeps....I cant do this to him!! I dont want to disappoint him...I love him...YES I love him!....

Kashish placed her hand on Angad's head and ran her fingers through his hair...The touch woke Angad up and he smiled seeing Kashish's face. "How are you feeling dear?" he asked. Kashish took his hand and replied, "I am better thanks to you Angad. I owe you so much."

They stared into each other's eyes and both were lost dreaming of being together...."You dont owe me anything. I have done everything because I...because...Oh Kashish...or Mahek or wait! I have the DNA results!! I didnt open it because its your first right! I want you to open it and tell me!" Angad said.

Kashish swallowed back her pain and smiled for Angad....I know what this report says Angad...but how will I ever tell you? I dont think I can...I wish I was Mahek..her life is worth living because she is your life!..for you I could be her....for myself I could be her so I can be with you..

Angad handed the envelope to Kashish and she took it in her hands. Kashish paused for a moment and then opened it up. She studied the paper for a moment and then placed it down. She turned towards Angad and suddenly smiled and swung her arms around Angad! "Angad!! I am Mahek!!! OMG!! Angad we are going to be together again! I love you!" Angad was in heaven and both began crying. He rocked her in his arms and they kept saying "I love you....."


Why did Ruby and Ejaz marry each other? Why isnt Ejaz helping Kashish? Why hasnt he reported Ruby to the police? Kashish knows she is not Mahek, but then why did she tell Angad she is? What did the DNA report say?
