Cant believe its part 8 only..I feel like i have read 20 chapters already..So much has happened.

Shyamji is here! And I knew he was genuine and not the evil psychopath I have been brainwashed to believe..yay. I loved that you told the story from his point of view..well that little bit in the beginning. His view of khushi and their relationship..his ideas of marriage, etc. Super Interesting!

"Instead, he had felt...nothing." - one thing is clear he was not as invested in the idea of "khushi" as his wife, then merely wanting an ideal bahu for his mum when one popped up.

So Shyamji and Arnavji clearly know each other (stupid NK, and Di's interruptions!), although I don't think any of that would have mattered..So nemesis. I would have loved to see them arguing across boardrooms..SO MUCH FUN. (just randomly..) And this shyamji is also perceptive, even if he is blind about certain things (khushi being in "want" with another man)..I like how you have made his character "responsibility" and all.

And then you bring in the class thing in such an interesting way..I would have never suspected this. Juhi you amaze me!! How the BLeep do you get these ideas?! "She had smiled up at him, and that was probably the moment he had known..." Rabba-vey wala loveee..

This makes him and khushi so similar.."some fantasies were destined to remain just that...a fantasy." "epitome of everything that he should want" Yes the issues in both their relationships are completely different, and the jazz but both the raizadas have hooked them on.

Very much like shyam I want to laugh at this tangled web you have weaved...And really nothing like I expected.

Then the obvious conversation and Arnav's not so hidden irrational anger. But trust khushi to pick up on Shyam's lingering gaze on Anjali and vice versa, in the midst of chaos that is her life.

OMG Anjali did not stick around to interrupt future potential rabba-veys!! OMG. This is a proud moment for IPK history book. Is it because of shyamji??

And as predicted arnav does get a whiff of how much family sucks..and obviously trying to convince her of his cynical ways..

Like that you brought out his insecurity "What if she chose this moment to walk out?"

Of starry nights, pools and all things romantic..

"I chose to believe that.It's the only way I can see my parents..."

maybe not. Maybe more important questions are meant to be had..reminds me of that scene when arnav is supposed to say sorry to khushi, and khushi tells him all about his parents, or that scene baat-vishvas-ki-hai? Loved the ease with which they discuss their family, their lives..its surprising that its only been lik 5 days since they have known each other. I like that the pull is not merely about rabba-veys as it is about talking and sharing things. I love your arnav + khushi for this reason.

"We are so different,Arnavji" You dont say! haha I enjoyed the impasse. Marriage vs live in. I think I was ranting about this in LLATW or sins, dont remember..but now you have given us a full blown thing on it.

And what do you know...its time to kiss. The culmination of 7 chapters..leads us to a 8 line kiss. I am proud. AND favouritest line award: "There is no right or wrong, not when it comes to the passion we share.There is no right or wrong in our desire for each other. Whatever has happened, good or bad...it has no meaning now. All I know is that I will always. always..."

Will she "to live the fantasy that you want..."?? Agar anjali nahi to payal, koi na koi behen rabba vey to interrupt karegi! And she brings with her the consent of parents. Love the bit with khushi that follows..the boy = the fantasy = "One chance of living for herself..." or the parents = the gratitude/solid love? = the reason she was living in the first place.

So decision time..And I sit here sharing Arnav's feelings..

"It was probably useless to try and guess, though"

And thus begins the pursuit of "what she wanted"

Payal is really lovely here..and I am proud of her just like she is of khushi.

Garima is again a product of her society no? Influenced by those around her..I could feel her reluctance to standup against the JIJI who housed them etc. But I think it is hard for her to accept it, even if she may understand khushi's choice (whatever that maybe). I absolutely loved the whole scene in the beginning and then Buaji coming up as well..as much as I dont like her, I love that she exists..keeps all this so masale-daar! Just like the existence of a lavanya.

What I love the most is khushi coming to be her own person. Standing up for herself like that, and for decision. Its exhilarating to realise you are free to make your own choices, but to stick by them specially when they overturn your life can be overwhelming! And I love how Arnav saw through that and "you won't have to face them alone."

I dont know what it is that she "wants" but I can tell it neither pleases her amma nor arnav, so she probably wont be hanging around in arnav's house for long. This is steering away from a cliche...you did an absolutely great job. This is not for the boy or the parents its for herself..even simran couldn't do that instead she ended up making chapatis for raj and his dad in london somewhere?! (I need to stop with ddlj references..please tell me to shut up!)

I can't even recognise Arnav anymore..he is camouflaged amongst

repentance on his actions towards her so far/his selfishness,

"He had been relentless in his constant pursuit of her."

him taking care of her,

"sleep well, sweetheart."

spending a sleepless night thinking of someone's tears,

"his own helplessness in the face of her vulnerability had disturbed him"

domesticity,

doing everything in his power to make someone not unhappy..

"he could do something, anything to alleviate her pain."

The tables have turned - "the battle he was waging against his own desire for the woman" - Khushi used to be her.. and now its his turn. Love it.

So Where is my bad boy rich millionaire? He exists in his passion, his taking responsibility,

his I-am-going-to-win-this-live-in-wala-challenge --- "The little witch!"

oh and also when he stands next to that pool!

Shyam and Anjali..never have I been this KEEN to read a story about them. I loved loved loved their confrontation outside Arnav's house. You know I would have never even expected Anjali to say that..about the limp. I like that we finally had both's perspective and ahh what a pretty picture they paint..and he has her number, cant wait to see where this leads what with ex-fiance's, arch-enemy type brothers etc. (PS. this scene makes me feel how much of raizada's and similar both anjali and arnav are..)

The fairy-lights-get-tangled-on-khushis-body-scene! That scene is how baby's are made..! Not by fake star gazing inside a room...AND you recreated it. You reversed it, like you always do. And it was perhaps even more magical to read the words that came along with the movements. In short the gutter has never seemed this deep before, and its kinda hard to get out. But it smells like burnt halwa so its ok, i will be fine.

And date-night! Similar concepts used to give a completely different effect. And even in that you added the burnt halwa wala scene..ah your niche for adding tidbits! ITALIAN food is amazing..I am so happy khushi thought so too. The location was perfect for a nice relaxed away from the world in their own bubble evening. And finally the hot makeout sesh..as usual we have your brand of "passionate khushi".

The tiny things I loved:

Her reply to tum theek ho. So endearing.

"Kiss me, Khushi."

Her not knowing what else to call him..! what the...

His definition of her.."She was just so...naive,in some ways...and yet she was bold in others..." SATYA-VACHAN!

His throwing a jug of water.

His getting ready in haste for khushi's sake

The fork!

Reference to it being her wedding day..beautiful!

Cannot help but think about zindagi na milegi dobara "Khushi Kumari Gupta, meet Tiramisu." - "Laila meet bagwati"

So we still dont know what she "WANTS" to do in her life..but tomorrow is clearly a new day! Cant wait..

With every chapter I think how can this possibly get better?! And it does...Its because every chapter sees a battle of hogwarts going on...if you know what I mean.

Khushi and her decision I love how you came up with that solution. Makes sense..and gives her space to become her own person. I agree with the qualm bit too..I would have thought as much..however this arnav never accused her of being a gold-digger so technically her ego hasn't been that bruised by her right! This just reminds me of where there is a will there is a way! Even though she is doing her own thing, she can't not help thinking about other people's well-being..as usual.

It must be so freaking hard to go back to one's work place after having such a scandal come out. No wonder she was scared and looking for arnav's support. But she is trying her best and its good NK is around..although seriously why the Bleep does everyone blame my badboy for forcing her, dont they realise he is a charmer now..and with her not against her?! These people need to get with his definition of 'want'..it clearly isn't merely gutter related.

And you kind of recreated the favourite khaana of khushi scene, and as usual this was so much better...food and um.

HAHAHA and never ones to back out of challenges..these two are going pretty strong.

"You would be my wife, and I would start taking you for granted" LOL.

AH so these two aren't the only ones having lunch, we have ourselves a very embarrassed rani sahiba!! If only arnav could figure this one out...obviously that would require him to get out of the gutter!

And then you pushed me into one too..I love the pool, dammit! And I think that is the biggest bone I want to pick with IPK people, why wasn't the pool an actual pool and why wasn't ASR swimming in it. His jogging or running really wasn't satisfying..he runs like speed..and that just makes me laugh.

How I love the domesticated-ness of these two, its been like 5 days! Pizza's and all. Rabba-vey ki jai ho!

I like that khushi did go back to her house to visit her parents..two such different worlds they must be in now "how her life could never be the same". Really nice part to include.

The battle I speak of: "How was she supposed to fight both him, and herself?"

DIWALI came early! And boy was I happy, Arnav definitely was. Juhi this didnt even require Jaadu hai nasha hai...even if blaring car-honks could traverse up to the penthouse level, I would not have been any less captivated. The poolside I knew would see some magical moments as usual, redeem itself from the poolside of sins! MY favourite part was "You need to leave." There is no ASR line I have loved more..even I love you dammit has lost its charm because of its overuse. The whole exchange between him and NK..thats so ASR perfection. And you reversed a little bit too.."he stumbled"...I guess without that happening the sari pallu would never have been burnt. You are a genius in creating baby-making rabba vey moments.

Who knew after saying "you need to leave" he himself would do the same. What followed was so so so beautifully written, I didnt feel like going into the gutter because it wasn't crass at all (not that other times your writing is crass..but you get what I am saying?). I guess words aren't needed for this kind of stuff..so i will shut up now.

I did not expect this..

"I think I've fallen in love with you, Arnav."

however this khushi is honest, once she makes a commitment.

But what I did expect was for her to wake up alone. This is clearly a non-cliched juhi style bomb wali story. I have no clue where he is and I dont think it would be about her confessing his feelings. SO where the BLEEP is he! And now which calamity is coming there way?? It cannot be lavanya. OH gosh the suspense. and khushi's tears :(

Favouritest Tiny things:

Their embrace and khushi's thoughts.."Too late to stop her foolish heart, which might have already found it's home."

Kissing behind potted plants

"that was before I knew what it was like to touch you,hold you...and kiss you"

Arnav observing her occasional tremors..this is stuff you miss even whilst wearing jassi glasses!

"the moments they spent talking about their day as they sat by the poolside."

When khushi wakes up - "For the first time in years, she felt free"

"he would somehow figure out just what had transpired last night." - this line.

Awesome updates in thread three. Loved how khushi under such trying circumstances still managed yo think rationally and took a decision to remain independent. I simply love the challenge they have issued to each other regarding changing the other's belief toward's marriage. Heading to the next thread to find the mystery of missing Arnav after khushi's love declaration 😉 .
