In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Armaan finds himself thinking about Maira. He reaches for his phone to call her, but holds back, realising that it's time Maira adjusts to living with Abhira. Reflecting on Abhira's frustration, Armaan feels it's best not to intervene.

Meanwhile, Kaveri expresses her displeasure to Vidya for accompanying her. Vidya calmly responds, saying that Abhira took care of everything before leaving, including completing all the pending work. She then suggests that Kaveri at least handle the household cleaning.

Kaveri, feeling remorseful, blames herself for stopping Armaan from telling Abhira the truth. Vidya questions her motive behind doing so. Before Kaveri can explain further, both are stunned to see Abhira and Maira walk in. Vidya asks why Abhira is back. Abhira curtly replies that she has no interest in their conversation, but she brought Maira back so she could experience the warmth of her grandmother's love. She gently asks Maira to rest.

Elsewhere, Geetanjali helps Armaan pack and emotionally tells him she feels hollow without Maira around. She says if possible, he should pack her heart too. Armaan gently replies that separating Abhira and Maira again would be unfair. Geetanjali reminds him that love doesn't follow the rules of right or wrong.

Abhira makes Maira sleep in her small room, just like the old days. She checks if Maira is comfortable in her nightwear, but Maira tells her that the one she likes is still with Armaan. She then dozes off. Seeing this, Abhira is disheartened and decides to sew new clothes for Maira herself. Vidya advises her to give Maira some time to adjust.

Overwhelmed, Abhira confides in Vidya that perhaps she's failed as a mother—if she hadn't, Armaan wouldn't have agreed to marry Geetanjali. Vidya comforts her with kind words.

Later, Armaan shares his dilemma with Dadu. He says he understands Geetanjali's pain but cannot break Abhira and Maira's bond. Dadu admits that while Abhira's sorrow is visible, no one truly comprehends Geetanjali's suffering. He urges Armaan to always stand by Geetanjali. Armaan promises never to abandon her, and Dadu expresses his gratitude.

Elsewhere, Abhira thanks Anshuman for helping her reunite with Pookie and sends him a glass of water. While sitting alone, Abhira hears Maira crying. She immediately checks on her and finds Maira wide awake, sobbing quietly. Seeing her in distress, Abhira holds Maira in her lap and gently sings a lullaby to comfort her, though she herself breaks down emotionally seeing her daughter in such pain.

Meanwhile, at Mount Abu, Geetanjali begins preparing to wash Maira's bedsheets and blankets. Armaan stops her, saying he will do it himself and adds that Maira isn't likely to return. However, Geetanjali firmly takes the sheets from him and tells him confidently that Maira will definitely come back. She believes that Maira has deep love for her and will return soon.

Armaan questions her for being in denial, asking her to accept that Abhira is Maira's mother, and now Maira has to stay with her real mother. But Geetanjali counters with a strong emotional argument, saying that just giving birth doesn't make someone a mother, raising a child is more important. She reminds Armaan that although Devki maa gave birth to Lord Krishna, the world remembers Yashoda maa because she brought him up. She insists that because she raised Maira, her bond with the child is stronger than Abhira's. She believes Maira will never be happy with Abhira, leaving Armaan shocked by her words.

Back in Udaipur, Abhira is concerned about Maira's constant crying. Maira expresses how much she misses Armaan and Geetanjali and says she wants to hear bedtime stories from them. Abhira, moved by her daughter's pain, decides to call Armaan.

When Armaan answers, Maira tearfully tells him that she can't fall asleep without hearing his stories. She requests him to tell her one. Armaan tries to cheer her up, saying her mother can tell even better stories now. But Maira disagrees and insists that his stories are her favourite. She continues to plead with him to narrate a story.

Although Maira keeps requesting, Armaan gently refuses, explaining that things have changed now and that from here on, her mother will tell her the stories. Maira requests to tell her one, but Armaan tries to convince her by saying that Abhira must have already thought of some nice stories and that her mother's feelings are being hurt by her constant crying. But Maira tells him that she is also deeply hurt and wants him to come back. She asks if he doesn't miss her, and Armaan admits that he does but still insists that her mother will make her happier.

Maira strongly disagrees and says she only feels happy with Armaan and Geetanjali. Abhira overhears the conversation and silently breaks down. Maira continues expressing how much she misses both Armaan and Geetanjali.

Just then, Geetanjali takes the phone from Armaan and tells Maira to return to Mount Abu. But Maira, being young, asks her to come to Udaipur instead. Armaan quickly snatches the phone away and disconnects the call, upsetting Maira even more.

After the call, Geetanjali once again pleads with Armaan to bring Maira back, saying she's clearly unhappy living with Abhira. But Armaan stops her, making it clear that he should no longer interfere between Abhira and Maira. Geetanjali argues that Maira cannot be happy with Abhira, but Armaan remains firm in his belief that, in time, Maira will develop a bond with her mother.

Maira tries calling again, but Armaan chooses not to answer. He tells Geetanjali that keeping Maira away from her mother would be selfish. However, Geetanjali calls him selfish instead, accusing him of sending Maira to Abhira just to ease his own guilt. She insists that Maira is growing up and will never be able to accept Abhira as her mother or settle down with her.

Armaan, however, is confident that eventually, Abhira and Maira will form a true mother-daughter relationship. He firmly vows to do what's right for Abhira and promises to reunite her with her daughter and ensure she receives the justice she deserves.

Precap for the next episode:
