She walked through the halls of KMA and let out a little sigh. These halls brought back memories, some that she would cherish forever and some that she wished she could forget.
"Naina!"
Naina turned around. Next loud screams filled the hallway almost deafening the other students.
"Girls" A couple of boys rolled their as they saw the two girls hug and scream.
"I missed you so much!"
"Me too Naina, me too. Tera network break main busy kyun tha?" Pooja complained to Naina.
The girls decided to catch up in their new room. Something's never change, like her roommate and her best friend Pooja.
Naina told Pooja about her failed attempts to get Rajveer punished but of course failed. Pooja still couldn't digest that Rajveer sir had killed Naveen. The man was a role model, how could he do that? "Don't give up Naina, Rajveer sir ko unke kiye ki saza zaroor milegi"
Naina had not told many people of this except for Pooja and Alekeh. Alekeh as expected absolutely hated Rajveer and Pooja still had a hard time believing that Rajveer sir would do that.
"Tu isse jhod. You tell me how Ali is doing." Naina asked while winking. She loved teasing Pooja, this was the one good thing that had come out of her past year at KMA. She was happy that Pooja had someone like Ali. Ali was a responsible, patient and an ideal mean. A complete opposite from Pooja but of course opposites attract and they fell in love.
Pooja's face fell as soon as she hear Ali's name. "Woh Naina, ab hum saath nahin."
"What?" Naina raised her voice a little. She was surprised. The last time she saw these two, they were talking about marriage and now they had broken up. That didn't make any sense.
Naina was about to ask Pooja what had happened but her voice was cut off by a voice.
"Hellooo my jananis, how are you beautiful ladies doing today" Huda asked with a wink.
"Huda, how are you?" Naina asked with a smile and a hug.
"Bus ekdum fit" He replied while giving a hug to Pooja as well.
Pooja excused herself to the washroom while Naina and Huda sat with little chit chat of their own.
"Baki teen kidhar hai?" Huda asked.
"Right here" said a voice stretching the 'here'. It was Yudi who greeted them with a wide smile with Alekeh and Ali beside him. "Hey guys, kaise ho?
"Pooja kidhar hai?" Alekeh asked. Ali's ears shot up as soon as he heard this name. Naina replied with a she's coming.
This was a little fear he has ever since he broke their relationship. How would he face her again? He was the reason they were not together anymore but what could have he done.
"Ab hum sab saath hai-" Pooja said breaking Ali's chain of thoughts. She came in with great excitement and hugging each of one of them except for him. No one else noticed that she had not hugged Ali, or even acknowledged him except for Naina but she decided to stay quiet for now.
Pooja tried to busy herself with small talks with the rest of the group but she knew Ali's eyes were on hers. Next she saw him approach her slowly. Shit, Why is he doing this? She listed herself a few options like walking away from here or telling him straight up not to talk to her. But those options would create a scene and right now she was in no mood to answer questions.
"Pooja" He called her with a soft voice. "How are you?"
"Fine" She said with a curt voice and then excused herself. She needed to get away from him before she says anything in front of others.
Ali sighed as he watched her leave. He would have gone after her but of course he had no right anymore.
Next Morning 'First Day of Classes
Naina stood in her Strategy and Communication II class watching the man she had loved once. He looking at papers ' notes she guessed. She looked on with disgust; Naveen was his friend, his best friend. How could this man not trust her brother? They had been best friends for the longest time.
"Rajveer Singh Shikhawat" She said in a low voice filled with hatred.
"Phoolan devi, road block kyun karke rakha hai? Andar chal" Huda said while pushing her a bit inside the classroom.
Rajveer looked up when he heard her nick name and his heartbeat sped up a bit. He knew he would have to face her in class, in drills and in the halls knowing that the love they were starting develop had died. Somewhere in his heart he wished that he never would have told her the truth about Naveen. If he hadn't then they would have been together by now and their biggest problem would have been how to hide their relationship from the board which wouldn't have been hard or painful as this.
He looked up starting at his class and started teaching. He first told him the difference between Strategy and Communications I and II.
"This course will be more intense then the last one. The first one focused more on communication. We learnt what good communications and what types of devices are used to communicate, this course will focus more on strategy. We will look at everything, from war strategies to spying strategies'"
Naina barely paid attention to what he was saying. All she could do was glare at him, not being able to let go and focus on the lecture. Stop it Naina, focus. Pass hona hai ki nahi? Forget that it's him teaching, at this rate you will fail for sure.
She spent the rest of the lecture either giving him hateful looks or fighting with herself and trying to focus.
After a good hour which felt forever for both Naina and Rajveer, the lecture finished. Both of them took a breath of relief. Naina because she wouldn't have to stand Rajveer and Rajveer because it was getting hard for him act normal as if nothing had ever happened.
"Rajveer sir kaise ho app? Yudi asked with enthusiasm, he had missed KMA, his buddies and Rajveer sir. After all Rajveer was one of the best teachers he had ever had.
"Bus theek, how was your break?" Rajveer, Huda, Ali and Yudi started talking abour their break. Yudi talked about his vacation is Shimla while Huda told everyone about the number of girls he had flirted with. Ali like usual patiently listened to all the stories the two had to tell. He was fine with that arrangement; after all he wasn't egger to share what happened with him in the vacation.
Naina, Pooja and Alekeh on the other hand knew the story of betrayal. They knew it wasn't Naveen who was the traitor it was Rajveer sir. Rajveer sir had betrayed Naveen. Pooja and Alekeh glanced at each other and then at Naina who was leaving. They decided to go with, after all their loyalty lied with Naina.
Rajveer closed his eyes as he noticed Naina leave. She hated him, but why wouldn't she? Maybe she didn't know the all the facts but in this case all that mattered were the results. The results that said Naveen died by his hands, his grenade.
Major Nair's Class
These measly cadets think that joining the army is joke! Nair thought with a scoff. But he had just gotten a green signal from Brigadier Chandok for new planned drills. The cadets have something new coming for them. This year he has included a real life job, this will not only be marked but a serious job that they can't mess up. Let's see how they pass now. Especially Cadet Pooja Ghai and Rajveer Singh Shikhwat's favorite Naina Singh.
"Dude, ye Major Nair kitne scary hai nahi?" Yudi asked Alekeh after their lecture with Major Nair. The man scared the shit out of him with his talks and drills.
"Tu kitna fatu hai" Alekeh replied with a eye roll and the rest laughed,
