Chaos
"Stupid Huda" She whispered angrily as she walked down the hall with a lighter. "Had hoti hai, pata nahi sab kaise man gaye is stupid plan kilye."
She had told the rest this plan is stupid. Yes, it will cause chaos but it will only reinforce the idea that the upper year students were raggers. Naina didn't want to be a part of this plan but apparently she was "walking away when her friends needed her the most." Whose words were those? Of course Huda's, and he had Pooja backing him up too. Eventually she gave in, and here she is, walking down to the entrance of the ball room to meet the rest.
Ali on the other hand was much stronger against these emotional blackmails. But that was only because Pooja refused to ask him. If she had, hands down he would have said yes right away. Now Yudi was in charge of getting us in and out of the ball room.
Yudi
"Target aquired" He told himself as he watched the guard sneak drinks after drinks in front of the ball room. The ball had started and everyone going in and out had to report to him.
The entrance to the ball room was grand, with streamers and balloons all around it. Loud music, ranging from English to Hindi was blasting through the room. Your body could feel the bass.
He walked by once and then twice to just get a glance on what was going inside. Short dresses. He watched dreamily. He should be in there. Hitting on those girls and simultaneously being reject as well.
His job was to get rid of the guard and he had the perfect idea. An intoxication pill. Why did he have one? Well let's just say it was for a prank he had planned for Alekeh but this was more important. How dare they not invite us to the ball?
The guard was a big man. A big BIG man. Those alcoholic drinks weren't even shaking him, let alone causing him to pass out. So Yudi will have to deal with this his own way.
Par kaise? Think Yudi, think!
He knew he had to slip this pill into the bottle he was hiding behind a desk placed there, but how?
Pooja and Alekeh
"Are chup hona please Pooja, please. Mein tere hath jodta hun." Alekeh begged. Pooja had gone on and on but the cockroaches in the box she was hold. Sometimes screaming if a cockroach tried to climb out of the box and other times praising Huda of his genius plan. But it was mostly screams.
Pooja looked slightly offended but quieted down. Actually she stopped speaking completely. Ja maine mera network kat diya tere se. She thought angrily as they walked to the ball room's entrance where they were going to meet Naina, Huda and Yudi.
Alekeh rolled his eyes when Pooja stopped speaking. He could tell by her facial expression that she was not happy with him. "Pooja?"
He was met with silence though. "Poojjaa,"
Again, nothing. Silence was annoying, especially with Pooja around him. Alekeh knows he tells her to shut her pot hole quite a bit, but she had grown on him. As much as he enjoyed silence, with Pooja, he could escape his thoughts with her nonstop chatter. So yes, silence was very annoying with Pooja.
"Pooja dekh! Tera Ali" He screamed loud after a minute startling her. He was hoping to get a reaction out of her but this was not what he expected.
"Kaha?" She screamed louder, looking around. But no one was there. Of course no one was there. Why would Ali come? He was no longer hers. Someone else's actually.
She looked at Alekeh in anger and stepped closer to him with her head high. With a dangerously low tone she spoke. "Ali mera kuch nahi hai. Toh mere samne uska naam mat lena."
Alekeh was shocked, he had expected her to scream at him, but this reaction was not something he thought she was capable of. But before he could as her what was wrong, they had reached the entrance and the rest were there before them.
"Guard kaha hai?" Naina asked curiously, somewhat afraid of the answer too. Yudi looked proud. Way to proud.
"Well..." Yudi started.
Yudi had pathetically made a loud noise and hid so the guard would come running to check the noise. Which he did. Yudi slipped the pill in his drink with no difficulty.
The difficult part was trying hid the unconcious body and answer Dr. Shalini if he had seen the guard. I mean the lady was gorgeous with that red halter dress. Lying was not the first thing in his mind.
"Guard kaha hai?" Naina asked slowly.
Yudi grinned and asked everyone to follow him. He opened a closet door near the ball room door and the guard's unconcious body fell out. Everybody gasped and Naina snapped.
"Yidu pagal ho gaye ho! Kisi ko pata chal gaya toh?" She screamed while Huda put a finger on her lips.
Naina shook the his hand off in anger and yelled at him as well. "Yeh tumhari vejese hua hai. Agar pakdi gayi na, toh sab ko bachalungi par tumhe sath leker doobongi!"
She opened her mouth to yell more but Alekeh interrupted her. "Guard ya kisi aur ne tuhje dekha?" Yudi nodded a no "Toh kyun chinta karti hai? Nahi pakde jayenge Naina chal."
And they sneaked in to put the plan in action.
In the ballroom with Rajveer.
He didn't have a date. He didn't want one actually, he didn't even want to be at this ball but atlas, he had to be. His thoughts roamed around the rut he was in with Naina. Did he deserve it? Yes. But he didn't want this anymore. He was tired. Seeing Naina everyday. Instead of admiration that use to shine in her eyes, hatred shone.
He looked up from his drink and across the dance floor. The lady who had asked him to dance was still staring, no, drooling at him. He had of course denied politely, but her stare was starting to make him uncomfortable. They way her eyes kept moving up and down his body and stopping at his chest then face. He had worn a fitting black suit with a white shirt. It was simple but unbelievably sexy on him.
He moved to a secluded corner, away from the dancing, away from the people enjoying themselves. He went around a pillar to lean on it but he found something completely unexpected. "Naina?"
Naina was standing on a table with the lighter held up to the fire alarm when she heard his voice. She didn't even have to turn around to know who it was. "Sh*t."
"Naina get off the table." He ordered, back to his Captain mode but she didn't listen. Something about that tone made her angry. It was the same one he had used when he ordered her to go to the infirmary. She didn't like being ordered, especially from the people she didn't like.
Instead of stepping down she stretched herself to lift the lighter closer to the fire alarm in defiance.
In a matter of second Rajveer heard loud screams. The girls shrieked on top of their voices, while the boys ran. Future soldiers? He though sarcastically.
There were cockroaches scattered everywhere and Naina had set of the fire alarm. When the fire alarm goes off, so do the sprinklers in the room. The first year students were wet and scared. It was basically chaos.
Naina stepped down with a smirk on her face and started to walk away.
"Oh no you don't" Rajveer and stepped in front of her. "What is the meaning of this Cadet?" He asked annoyed.
He had been friends with these cadets. They told him about pranks, they told him their plans and here they had gone behind his back and pulled such a chaotic stunt. He was hurt, the other cadets were no longer his friends either?
Now that they had pulled a stupid stunt, he will have to do his job as their teacher. But he knew that he was going to cover for his cadets, cover for his Naina. Save them from whatever extreme punishment Major Nair would give.
Naina just shrugged at his question and tried to walk away while the first years ran left and right around them. She had resorted to childishness, she knew. But frustration was building up in her. The court would not listen to her side of the story, Rajveer walked free and Naveen was still a traitor. At least this way her frustration was silenced for a bit.
"Cadet Naina!" He called again but she was in her own thoughts, and even if she wasn't she wouldn't have listened.
In her own thoughts she didn't see the large panicking first year cadet running towards her with a cockroach on his hand but Rajveer did. He pulled her with force and dragged her to the corner where she had set the alarm of.
"Dekh ke nahi chal sakti ho Naina?" He whispered. His annoyance was put aside and the new proximity replaced his thoughts. His hands were on her hand which he had pinned to the wall. His face was mere centimeters away from hers.
Naina looked and him and turned her face away. Old feelings, the ones she wanted to forget were returning. Every time she looked into his eyes. Her eyes may shine with hatred, but his were still filled with the admiration for her, maybe even love. These mixed feelings caused chaos heart.
What are you thinking Naina! Naveen Bhaiya. This man killed him!
Rajveer was still in his trance. Naina's cheeks were flushed with red. Probably anger. He thought and let go of one of her hands and touched her cheeks gently. She was beautiful.
Taking advantage of that, Naina used her free hand to forcefully remove his grip on her . With that she also gave him a sarcastic smile. She will fight, she will fight her feelings, she will fight for her brother and she will fight with the world if she has to. She is a soldier.
He winced in pain and surprise as her nails dug into her arms. A slight grin crept up his face as he watched her smile sarcastically and then leave.
Once a soldier, always a soldier. From heart, mind, body and soul. He thought, almost as if reading hers.
