CHAPTER 7:

Choti: kya zarooarth hai?? bhai... this means mujhe yaha se jaana hoga..wo bhi bohot dur... Delhi.. aur mujhe nahi jaana...

The family was smiling at her silly antics. "par Choti its a great opportunity. You should never miss it dear..." Arjun tried to make some sense to her.

"nahi mujhe kuch nahi sunni. Mien nahi jaungi" she walked out of the room.

"Choti rukh..." Arjun called her back but she walked off.

Rosh: Arjun give her some time. She will understand.

They had tea and all happy to have Sam back with them. choti didn't want to speak about going so they avoided it for the time being. After tea, the talked for a while and all were having a great time. Sam left after some time.

It was night and all went off to their rooms. Roshni came after getting freshens up. Arjun was with a file and he looked a bit lost. She hugged him from behind. "kya hua Arjun? any problem?"

He took her hand and kissed it. "nahi Roshni. Bas aise hi."

"patha hai aap abhi bhi teekh nahi hai, right? Mujhe sambhal tho diya, par apne apko nahi. Kyu?"

He smiled and took her to the bed. He made her sit beside him and he kept his head on her lap. She was caressing his hair. "you know me well Roshni. Tumhe tho mien samjha diya, par abhi bhi tumhare uss haal ke bare mien sochke dar lagtha hai. if I hadn't reach there on time'" she closed his mouth.

"ab wo sab bhool jayiye. Ek nayi shuruath karthe hai. ok?" she smiles at him.

"of course Roshni. Manna padega, you are much stronger than me."

"aur kaise nahi hoge? After all I'm ACP Arjun's wife."

He could feel her proud tone. He was so happy. He pulled her to him and kissed her forehead. He was ready for a new start.

Next day:

Arjun goes to wake up Choti and he was shocked as she was already up. "are wah, meri Choti tho uth gayi!! Kya baath hai!! aaj suraj galath side se nikla hai kya??"

But there was silence from her side. He sat by her. "kya hua? Aise chup kyu ho?"

Ch: bhai... kya mujhe sach much Delhi jana hoga?

Ar: are abhi bhi wahi bath pe atke ho? Bolo whats your problem? Kyu nahi jana chathe ho tum?

Ch: bhai, Delhi bohot dur hai. aur mien waha akeli, aap sab yaha. Kaise?

Ar: acha tho ye baath hai? aur koi bada problem tho nahi hai na?

Ch: bada problem?? Ye problem bada hi tho hai!! aap sab mujhe yaha se baga kyu rahe ho??

Ar: are mere jaan, apko kaun yaha se bhaga rahe hai? dekho Choti, it's a great opportunity. Aur ye sabko nahi milthe. Aur jab ek opportunity athe hai, tho hame usse dur nahi bhagna chahiye. Shayad koi aur tha jo ye opportunity ka wait kar rahe the. But he/she didn't get it. and you got it. ab isse aise hi chodne se, tum sirf apna apke nahi balki uske bhi opportunity ko chodne ke equal hogi. I hope you are understanding me.

She nods.

Ar: dekho agar tum sach much jana nahi chahthe, then its ok. I'll speak to Dad. Par teekh se sochne ke baad hi decide karne. Ok??

Ch: ok bhai. I'll think about. I have 1 week time to respond to the mail.

Ar: ok, good. Ab jaldi se ready hojao.

Ch: before that were is my treat??

Ar: treat ?? kyu??

Ch: aaj tho aapko mujhe bulane ke zaroorath hi nahi pada. Tho treat tho bantha hai na??

Ar: are ha. Wo tho hai!! so ready for the treat??

Ch: what?? Treat apke paas hi the?? How do you know that I will need it?

Ar: bhai hu, sab janthe hu. So ready??

Choti was so happy nd nods instantly. Arjun rolls his sleeves and sighs heavily. Choti didn't know what was coming up. Suddenly Arjun starts to tickle Choti. She falls on the bed and rolls. "bhai chod... bhai please..."

"bol kaise lagi mere treat??"

"bas bhai... Please... bhabhi help..." Roshni heard the loud laugh and Choti's cry. She knew what was happening upstairs. She went and saw Arjun tickling hard on Choti, who was near to tears by laughing. "bhabhi, dekh ke kya rahe ho. Lejaiye apne pathi ko. Please..."

She comes in and pulls Arjun. "bas Arjun, mar jayengi wo.chod."

Arjun looks at her wickedly and he leaves Choti.Roshni looks at Choti who was catching her breath and smile. They wink at each other. Now in a sudden move Roshni and Choti attacks Arjun. he was caught off guard. They push him to the bed and tickle him hard. Though he could handle them, he never tried. All these small parts were the best part of their life. After a while, all are tired and both the girls lie in each of his shoulder.he wraps them and kiss their forehead. He prayed silently that this happiness to stay forever.

Pyara rishta hai
bhai behen ka..
jisme pyar laad dular..
apnepan ka ehsas ho..

Dosti ek aisa khoobsurat rishta..

Evening:

Dad: Arjun meeting kaise tha? Sameer kab ja rahe ?

Ar: sam kal shaam ko ja raha hai? meeting was fine.

Dad: choti se baath hua?

Ar: ha... she needed some time. yaha se dur jane se thoda dare hue hai. I think she wil be fine.

After a few days: morning.

Ch: mujhe kuch baath karni hai?

Ar: kyu? Koi nayi BF mila hai kya??

Ch: bhai I'm serious!! Dad dekho na...

Ar: ok ab bol. Kya hua?

Ch: wo,... meine mere sir se baath kiya. Unhe bhi lagtha hai ke ye ek achi chance hai. so mien ye exchange prog pe jana chathi hu.

Dad: good choice choti. I knew you will take the right decision.

Ch: par mere kuch sharth hai!!

Ar: ha bol..

Ch: aap mujhe har roz phone karoge. Aur yaha ke sare baath bathaoge. Mujhe koi bhi prob ho tho, mien wapas asakthi hu. Aur koi mujhe stop nahi karoge. Sam bhai se kehna ke kabhi kabhi mujhe ake mile. Aur...

Ar: ha bolo bolo.. aur list mien kya kya hai?

Ch: aur bhi bohot hai. batha dungi. Agar inme se kuch bhi choot liya tho mien yahi rukungi. Samjhe ya samjhao??

Ar: ok, samajh gaye baba. Sab ka ek list dedena. Ok!!

All are happy. Soon her day to go was fixed. They had a week left with them.

Few days later, all were busy in packing.

Ch: Ma ye sab kya hai? mien college ja rahi hu... sasural nahi. Ithni sari khan eke kya zaroorth hai??

Mom and Roshni arranges her bag.next day she had to go. She was not feelng excited to go. Arjun goes to her room. "you alright Choti?" she nods. "all set?" she nods again. "Dar lag rahi hai?" she nods with watery eyes. He hugs her.

"will miss you bhai, aap sab ko bohot miss karegi"

"will miss you too, jaan. Ab so jao. Kal jaldi uthna hai na?" he makes her lay on the bed, kiss her goodnight and off the lights.

Next day, all leave for the airport and sends Choti to Delhi. The parting was terrible. Roshni knew Arjun was feeling very upset. She was holding on to his hands. They reached back home. All were silent. Arjun goes to his room and was missing Choti. Roshni sits besides him. "hey, ithna udaas math hona. Sam haina waha pe? He'll take care of her." He nods silently.

There choti was finding the new atmosphere strange. Sam came to take her to the new hostel and showed the place too. She used to call the family daily explaining everything. All missed her a lot still, she was doing well.

Few weeks later:

It was an off day, so Choti goes out to the park with few of her friends. They were enjoying icecreams when she noticed a small girl watching her intendly. She forwarded her icecream that she just bought to her, but the girl nodded negative. Choti goes to her. "ye lo, meine khaya nahi hai"

Girl: nahi, mom ne kaha hai ke strangers se khana nahi lena chahiye.

Ch: acha, tho apki mom kaha hai? (girl nods to a lady) milwaoge?

Girl takes her to the mom.

Girl: mom ye didi aapse milne ayi hai.

Mom: ji kahiye.

Ch: mere naam Anjali hai. Mumbai se hu. Wo bas apki beti se dosti karna chahthi thi.aur ek icecraem dena chahthi thi. May I?

Mom looks happy. "ji zaroor. Sorry she didn't take it earlier."

Ch: its ok, I can understand. In fact you are right aise strangers' se kuch lena nahi chahiye. Ye bas ek nayi dost mila tho achi lagi. (looks at the girl who was having icecream) waise apke naam kya hai?

Girl: Sanju.

They chat for a while and leave. Next day, Choti was going through the news paper, when her eyes met a familiar face. Sanju. She was missing now. She felt terrible for her family. She was last seen in the park, and now she is missing.

She called Arjun immediately.

Ar: kya hua Choti? Aaj sabere hi kyu call kiya? Everything alright?

Ch: bhai, aaj yaha ke paper mien ek Sanju missing likha hai. I saw her bhai, wo kal park me thi. I spoke with her. She was so cute. Aur uske saath uski mom bhi thi. Aunty bhi bohot achi thi. I feel so bad for them.

Ar: Choti its alright. I'll speak to someone, ke koi ye case bohot jaldi solve kare. Aur Sanju ko bhi mil jayengi. Don't worry ok?

They talk for a while and cconsol her. Arjun looks into the Delhi edition papers and find the missing case. He calls and informs Sam about it too.

That day Choti was not in a good mood, she felt bad for Sanju and hoped that she would be fine.

She was walking to her hostel in the evening. Suddenly she felt that she saw a glipse of Sanju. She checked for her behind the small shop. Sanju was sitting on the groung trembling with fear. Choti placed a hand on her shoulder, and Sanju jumps up frightened. "sh.. Sanju. Mien hu. Aap yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

Sanju is all frightened. She hugs Choti and cries. "Di...help me. Mujhe mom ke paas jaana hai. wo log mujhe lejayenge. Mien bhag ke ayi hu. Wo log mujhe dhund rahe hai?"

Ch: kaun Sanju? Bathao.

Sanju was about to say something that she notices some men. She pulls choti's hands and run. The men notice them and they run behind them. after some running, Choti and Sanju hids behind a building. They were catching their breath. Sanju was hugging her waist frightened and choti wrapped her in her arms.

She takes out the phone and dialed the only person whom she could think of. Arjun took the call. But before he could say something... "bhai help. Wo log hamare picha kar raha hai. wo hum dono ko dund raha hai. please help."

"choti kaha ho tum?aur kaun picha kar raha hai?"

"bhai... wo...wo..." suddenly she stops. Arjun was so worried now. The line goes off.

"choti... choti... can you hear me??" there was no response.
