The day's terror had brought much effect to the family. Though everyone was trying their best to cheer each other up and to behave as nothing had happened, it was not that easy.
Anji, who felt guilty for her deeds, as she had avoided speaking to the police officer in the earlier stage, was in a lost state. When Roshni had slept off, he went to Choti's room. He knew that she needed his support. He went to her room, where she was sitting with watery eyes. He went in and sat by her. She looked up to him, and there he saw the pain. He gently hugged her. No words were needed for her than this mere hug. She left out all her worries and pain within her on his chest. He held her tight and kissed her hair.

After a while she was in a state to speak.
"bhai... I'm sorry..." but he closed her mouth and nodded negative.
"Choti, zindagi me aise bhi din aathe hai, ke hum jan bhujke koi galthi nahi kiya hoga, fir bhi aise hi hothe hai. it's a part of our life beta. Ye math sochna ke sirf tumhare wajah se ye hua hai. ye tho bas hona hi tha. And think from a brighter side, ab aap samjhe na ke koi bhi baath ho, tho wo police ya authority se chupana nahi chahiye? Right?"
She nods her head. "ji bhaiya. Mein tho bas dar gay thi, isisliye meine bhabhi ko rokliya. Aur uske wajah se bhabhi ko..."
"ab bas wo sab bhool jao. Ha ye sach hai ke Roshni bohot dar gayi hai. koi bhi hoga. Aur iss waqt usse hum sabke help ke zaroorath hai. Especially yours. You are her best friend right? Tho unhe help karogi na??"
"of cource bhai.(wipes her tears) kaha hai wo?"
"so rahi hai. jab uthengi thab deklena. Aur ha.. ab koi rona dhona nahi...You are my brave girl right?" he winks at her. She smiles and hugs him tightly. He was trying his best to help her. But inside he too was feeling terrible. He kisses her hair again and goes out, while she sits for a while and composes herself. "ab koi rona nahi Choti. Bhabhi needs you..." She goes to freshen up.
Arjun goes to the study to relax himself out. He was having a hard time to keep himself ok. His dad notices him and goes to the study. Dad sees him leaning on to the window and closing his eyes. He places a hand over Arjun's shoulder. "sab ko sambhalne chala, khud ko sambhal nahi parahe ho kya?"
He turns to his dad. Yes its true, nothing could leave from his father's eyes. He had inherited from his father too. Arjun smiles weakly and give in. he hugs his father. He was having an inner turmoil. The dad hugs him tightly and caresses his hair.
"patha hai Arjun, you are feeling terrible. Par himmath math haro beta, Roshni aur choti ko tumhare zaroorath hai. un dono ko tum hi sambhal sakthe ho."
He breaks the hug and nods looking down.
"apne aasu mujhse tho math chupa Arjun. be brave enough to show that even you have a weaker side. Isse chupana sabse bade weakness hai. and my son is not that weak. Garv se sir uncha rakho, aur kaho ke tumhe bhi kabhi kabhi dar lagtha hai. ye himmath hi tumhare pav zameen pe rahne me tumhe madad karege. Aur daro math, har kadam me hum sab tumhare saath hai. Roshni ke bare me chinta math karo. She is a brave girl. Aur unke saath tum ho. Tho usse kuch nahi hoga. Bas apne apko bhi sabke saath sambhalo."
Arjun was feeling so proud say that this man is his father. He wipes his tears and smiles confidently. "thanks dad." He hugs his father with a better energy. His dad was happy too. "now that's my Arjun!!!"
"agar papa aur bte ke pyaar bhari batein kahtam hogaye hai tho, kya mien bhi kuch kahu" Mom acted to be angry. "apko kabhi bhi aane ke ijazath hai, Mrs. Rawte." She comes and hugs Arjun. "I think Roshni uth gayi hai. jao, usse milo. And no more tears ok??" he nods and goes in to the room.

Roshni was in the washroom, he was waiting for her. He saw a duppatta on the bed. He kept it in and put another pair of dress on the bed. She came out in a while and gave a weak smile. She stood by the mirror and was drying her hair. She saw him watching her through the mirror. "kya hua Arjun? aise kya dekh rahe ho?" he nods negative.
She ties the hair in the towel and goes to the bed. "yaha pe jo dupata the, wo kaha gaye?"
"meine andar rakh diya. Now go and change. Ye bhi koi dress hai? na rang hai, na kuch khas baath. Change your dress."
"magar kyu Arjun?"
"agar magar kuch nahi. Jo kaha wo karo."
"aap bhi na, zid karke baite hai. iss dress me kya kharabi hai?"
"kuch acha nahi laga mujhe"
"Arjun, sab me tho hum achayi nahi dekh sakthe hai na? kuch kissi keliye ache hothe hai, kissi keliye nahi. Magar firbhi aapko acha nahi laga tho mien change karthi hu." She tries to move, but he holds her hand and pulls her to him. She falls onto his chest.
"teekh kaha tumne Roshni, sab kuch hamesha teekh nahi hotha. Kabhi kuch din acha hothe hai, kuch din bura, yahi tho zindagi hai. aur inn dinome me hum apne liye aur dusro keliye kya karthe hai, yahi important hai. you had 2 bad days in your life. Par unn do din ke yadon me apne zindagi aise berang math karo please. Tumhare zindagi se bohot sare zindagi jude hai. ye nahi kahunga ke sab kuch ek pal me bhoolke chalo. take your time. but do come back. Hum sab tumhare saath hai."
She looks into his eyes. It had the genuine care and love. She touches his cheeks. "patha hai Arjun, I'll try my level best. I'll never disappoint you."
"you are getting me wrong Roshni. You never disappointed me. Tumne jo Choti keliye kiya hai, mien kabhi tumhe thanks nahi keh paunga. Magar ye wada zaroor dunga, ke kabhi bhi tumhare saath nahi chodunga." She hugs him tightly, and this time without any tears.

"thanks Arjun. thanks for coming to my life." He hugs her back. After a while, she gets up with a smile and looks at her dress. "teekh kaha apne. Ye dress kuch achi nahi hai. (takes the other dress) ye achi hai"
"akhir select kisne kiya hai?"(he pulls his collar)
She hits him and goes to the washroom. He sighs happily. At last he had done the work that he felt was impossible. He brought back her real smile. She came out after changing. She goes to the mirror and combs her hair. She takes the box of sindoor but he snatches it. he takes a pinch of it and fills her mang. She was happy and tries to touch his feet. He was quicker and hugs her. He kisses her neck and raises her chin to him. He was about to get close to her, when someone knocked the door. "oh no..." he sighed while she smiled at him and went to open the door.
Choti came. "hi bhabhi..." she gave her a bear hug. She was about to say something when Roshni cuts in. "agar sorry ya thankyou kehne ayi hai tho bhool jao. Ab koi fayda nahi hai...forget it." she winks. Choti was too happy and hugs her. She goes and hugs Arjun too. Roshni goes and try to put those bangles that Choti brought. "nahi bhabhi... shayad wo bangles unlucky hai"
"nahi Choti... aise kuch nahi. Ye apne mujhe diya hai, tho kabhi bhi unlucky nahi hai.ok??" she puts it and all goes out. The family was happy as everything was settling slowly. Though at times Roshni seemed to be lost, all were trying to keep the air ok. It was a mutual support.
Sameer came in that evening. He came to know about the incident and could not stop himself. He came and first met Arjun. Arjun was too relieved to see him. He hugs Sameer. The friends were supporting each other.
Sam: kaise ho Arjun? aur Roshni?
Arj: Roshni teekh bhi hai, aur nahi bhi. Its not easy Sam. Kaafi saha hai usne. Par she is trying to come out. Sabke samne hasthi tho hai. but I know better. Andar thadap rahi hai.she needs more time. Choti bhi bohot dar gayi thi. But she is almost ok.
Sam: aut tum?
Arj: mujhe kya hua Sam?(looks away)
Sam: (pulls him to face him) mujhse math chupa. I know you are tensed. And I won't blame you. But you are doing a great job. Apne himmath math haro. Ok? I'm here.
Sam: thanks Sam.ao sabse milthe hai.
Dosti hai ek aisa rishta...
jaha na to hai dhokha ..
Koi bhi gam ho ya ho khusi..
Ek dusre ke sang hai hamesha...
Sam goes in to meet everyone. He goes to Roshni while Arjun stays out. "kaise ho BHABHI?"
She raises her eyebrows and gives a smile. "Sameer... Ithni bhi bhudi nahi hu main"
"ho thank god tum wahi ho. Koi dipression stage me tho nahi hai!"
She smiles weakly now.
Sam: Roshni, tumhe patha nahi how proud I'm feeling now. You are really brave. Ithne sab hone ke baad apne apko aise sambhalna himmath wali kaam hai.and you did it. keep it up yaar.
Roshni smiles again. "thanks Sam, par mujhe himmath denewale tho apke dost hai. tho sara bataein wahi kijiye. Its good to see you here Sam. Ab mujhse zyada Arjun ko apke zaroorath hai. please talk to him. Aur batao ke mien teekh hu."
"yaar manna padega... kamala ke jodi hai aap dono ke. Kahi nazar na lage. Ok I need your special tea and pakodas. Ab jaldi jaiye aur layiye."
"yes sir" she goes in. Sam goes to Arjun who was in the terrace.
Arj: hows she?
Sam: better than you... Yaar she is right. You need me more than her. Usse samjhane aya tha, lagtha hai pehle tumhe sambhalna hoga.
Arj: ok ab bas, ye bolo sirf sambhalne keliye hi Mumbai aye hai ya koi kaam bhi hai?
Sam: hai ek kaam. Pathan ko bhula nahi hoga na??
Arj: pathan?? Pathan laala? Now what did he do?
Sam: actually I don't know. Par wo kuch bada plan kar raha hai, ithna hi intelligence se patha chale hai. mien issi silsile mien aya tha. Kuch papers discuss karna tha. Kal Commisioner sir ke saath meeting hai. and he will be calling you too.
Roshni comes in. "chai ready hai. ajayiye"
All goes down. Choti was in front on her lap. All were about to start the tea, when she screamed loudly. All rush to her.
Arj: choti... kya hua??
Choti: bhai... bhai... wo... wo...
Arj: wo... wo.. kya??
Choti: ek mail ayi hai. meine bathaya thana ek student exchange program ke bare me...? I think I'm selected...
Arj: wow that's great news. Tho isme chillane ki kya zaroorath hai?
Choti: kya zarooarth hai?? bhai... this means mujhe yaha se jaana hoga...wo bhi bohot dur... Delhi... aur mujhe nahi jaana...
