Paayal(looks at Arnav): I have'nt forgiven him.

Khushi(hurt): But y jiji? Dont u trust me?

Paayal: Ya Khushi. U're right. I still cant trust him. If he really means whatever he said today then he will hav to prove it.

She turns to Arnav.

Paayal: Like u wanted a proof of Khushi's innocence,similarly I want a strong proof! I shall b convinced that u'll never take out ur anger on my sister only if u r able to proove whatever u said today! U may not b liking whatever I'm sayin, but I'm only sayin the truth. Apart from whatever u did on the wedding night & after that,there hav been n number of instances before the wedding wherein..

She stops abruptly.

Paayal: When Khushi & r family had to go thru tough times bcoz of u.

Nani: What do u mean,bitiya? Tell us frankly..

Arnav looks at Khushi to find tears running down her cheeks.

Paayal: How would it reduce her sadness? Playing with a girl's honour, knowingly hurting her & insulting her might not b a very big issue for u but it is certainly a big thing for us! U havent committed a small mistake for which u expect me to forgive u easily! Whether u agree or not,but people do remember these kinds of things. Once a girl's honour has been destroyed,it cannot b restored. Paayal: Aakash,dadiji,mummyji,papaji,di.. plz forgive me! I know I've hurt by saying all this. But..

Nani(interrupts): No bitiya. U hav a really strong reason for not forgiving Chhotey. I'm not upset at all. But I do hope that in future,when Chhotey will give u the proof u want & when u'll see his love & dedication towards Chhoti bitiya,may b the wounds which u got due to Chhotey's rude behaviour in the past will heal..

Paayal shrugs.

Khushi: May Devi Maiyya listen to u,naniji! I'm sure one day jiji will b able to see what I'm currently able to see in Arnavji and that day she'll surely forgive him!This is my belief!

Paayal(looks at Arnav): Only time will tell that.

Aakash nods.

Khushi: Dont worry! I wont do anything like that. (approaches Paayal) I know that jiji has also had to face a lot of difficult situations like I had to face. If jiji is miffed with u its bcoz I had to go thru a lot bcoz of u. She's behavin this way coz she never wanted her sister to suffer.. (holds her hand) Hav faith,jiji. Anjali: I'll say something similar to what buaji said. U hav disappointed me,embarassed me & hurt me.. a lot! And the worst things is that u did all of this to save my marriage. So,indirectly,I'm responsible for whatever happened to Chhoti!

Arnav: Of course not,di! Only I'm responsible for that.

Arnav looks expectantly at Anjali.

Arnav nods.

Anjali: Ur & Chhoti's life will not change for the better if u promise to do so & so in front of everyone. Till u do not learn how to curb ur anger & control ur tongue,noone can guarantee that the stuff that happened in the past will not happen in future. Like in ur business u do not allow ur rival to defeat u, similarly u should not allow ur anger to defeat u.

She turns to Khushi.

Anjali: Chhoti,u & Chhotey need to understand each other in a better way. Its not enough to listen to what ur heart says,u need to do that as well. Anjali shakes her head & tries to get up.

Arnav: Y r u getting up? U need to take rest..

Anjali: I.. want to sit.. Chhotey..

Anjali(interrupts): That is the problem,Chhotey! Its not necessary that if u're nice the other person will also b nice. If u trust someone it doesnt mean that that person is worthy of ur trust.. She gently runs a hand thru his hair.

Anjali: U're right! Earlier papa took decisions for me, then Chhotey. But now I want to take decisions for myself! Plz dont get me wrong,Chhotey. Arnav: Okay di. I understand ur point of view. Had u.. not been pregnant at the time of r wedding,I would showed ur Shyam's true face at that time itself.

Anjali: U didnt tell me bcoz u were scared that ur di will become weak. Isnt it? Chhoti & her family hid the truth for similar reasons. They also thought that I wont b able to tolerate the impact of the truth. So it all comes down to my being weak! Thats y I need to b strong now!

Nani: Was he caught or not?

Arnav: Yes nani. They caught hum. And I've told them to increase his cell's security & r house's security as well.

Nani nods.

Arnav: Plz dont worry,di. I wont let him enter r lives again!

Anjali: I know,Chhotey. But I also know that despite what happened today, it wont deter Shyam. He'll definitely try to run away again! Hence we all need to b alert.

Arnav: I know,di. I've texted & I was about to talk to Rakshit. But.. now since u know everything,plz inform him.

Nani: I hope Rakshit babu or his family will b safe, Chhotey?

Arnav: Yes,they're safe right now,nani. But.. if Shyam comes to know that di's getting married again then.. may b they'l not b safe.

Khushi: But now he's in jail.And di has already divorced him. So y should di's marriage to someone else affect him?

Arnav: Coz he thinks that he can still influence di. And he can enter & then control her life once again. But for all that he'll hav to come out of the prison & meet di. I wont let that happen at any cost!

Khushi(hand on his shoulder): Calm down.

HP brings juice for Anjali.

Khushi: Di,u hav the juice meanwhile I'll serve dinner. Its pretty late. Everyone must b hungry by now.

Anjali: Okay Chhoti. In fact u all can go downstairs & sit for dinner. I'll join u after finishing the juice &.. talking to Rakshit.

Nani: Fine bitiya. Take care.

Arnav: And call me before u get down the..

Anjali(interrupts): Chhotey?

Khushi(thinks): No,I shouldnt think like that about Arnavji. May b its something really important.Arnavji was tensed the whole day. He didnt get to concentrate on his work. Now that.. everything's fine,he needs to get back to his work. U carry on Khushi & serve the dinner. Anyways(blushes)u'll get to spend time with Arnavji once.. dinner is over! U can do.. whatever u want at that time! Right now u must help jiji & HPji.

She quickly descends the stairs.

**Meanwhile,in ArShi's bedroom**

Aakash: Yes bhai,tell me? Which deal were u talkin about?

Arnav: Khushi..

Aakash(confused): Sorry?

Arnav(nods): I want to talk to Khushi,privately.

Aakash(super confused): So then.. y did u call me to ur room?

Arnav: After.. whatever happened this evening, if I go to the kitchen & tell Paayal to go out,it.. wouldnt look proper...

Aakash(shocked): U're.. getting scared of Paayal?

Aakash: But bhai,everyone is downstairs. They might b in the dining room. And besides,HP will b there in the kitchen. How will u b able to speak to Khushiji.. privately over there?

Arnav joins Aakash near the staircase.

Aakash(whispers): Call Khushiji & tell her that u're not gettin an important file.

He calls Khushi loudly.

Khushi comes running out of the kitchen with a smile on her face.

Her smile vanishes when she sees Aakash standing next to Arnav.

Khushi: What happened?

Arnav: umm.. I'm not able to find the Chhabras' file..

Khushi: But that was in ur laptop bag naa?

Arnav: Ya but now its not there..

Aakash(with fake concern): That's a really important file,bhai.If u're not able to find it,we'll b in trouble..

Arnav(nods): U're right.

Aakash: a.. Khushiji,can u plz come up & check for urself? May b bhai kept the file somewhere n forgot. Its very important to find that file right now.

Khushi: Okay. I'll come in a minute.

She enters the kitchen to inform Paayal.

Khushi: Jiji I'm..

Paayal(interrupts): I heard everything. U go,I'll take care of the dinner.

Khushi nods & leaves.

Paayal: Hari Prakashji,plz serve the curry meanwhile I'll serve dal..

HP: Ji bhabhi..

Arnav hugs Aakash & pats his back.

Arnav: Thanks brother!

Aakash: My pleasure! Khushiji must b on her way.

Arnav nods,his eyes focused on the staircase.

Khushi joins them a few minutes later.

Khushi: What happened? Did u find the file?

Arnav shakes his head.

Khushi: So y r u standing outside? Come inside & find the file naa!

She goes inside the room,followed by Arnav who closes & bolts the door.

Khushi(frowns): Y did u.. close the door?

Arnav: Abhi bataata hoon!

He takes one step towards her,his eyes revealing his motive to Khushi.

Khushi(taking a step back): Arnavji..

Arnav(taking a step ahead): Hmm?

Khushi(taking a step back): U lied to me?

Arnav(taking a step ahead): What do u think?

Khushi(taking a step behind): Ur eyes r tellin me that u did & that too with jijaji's help!
Arnav(taking a step ahead): Ya,so?

Khushi(taking a step behind): Ss.. so..

She stops abruptly as her back hits the wall.

Arnav covers the distance between them by taking one giant step.

Then he places his hands on either sides of the wall,pinning her to it & trapping her.

Arnav: Yes,tell me.. what will u do?

Khushi: I.. a...

Arnav: U wont b able to do anything!(inches his face closer) Coz when I stand so close to u,u become totally disarmed!

Khushi couldnt say anything since his lips were only inches apart from her own.

Her lips quivered,her chest rose & fell against his & she closed his eyes, silently anticipating a kiss.

Arnav: Look at me,Khushi..

Reluctantly,she opened her eyes,very slowly.'

The moment she did that she was lost in the chocolate brown,hypnotical orbs that belonged to her husband.

Arnav: Didnt I tell u? We'll b together,tonight in r room?

Khushi gives a slight nod.

Arnav: So,my words turned out to b true!

Khushi(closes her eyes): I'd also.. thought that..

Arnav: What?

Khushi: If.. everything is fine.. after u.. reveal the truth then..

Arnav: Then what?

Khushi: I will.. donate the chocolates.. which Nanheji has sent.. to poor kids.

Khushi nods,taking a shaky breath.

He kisses her forehead & then moves aside.

Arnav: Now go & serve dinner. We'll do the rest after having dinner!

Khushi: Lard governer!

She is about to go when Arnav catches hold of her arm & pulls her towards himself.

Khushi: Y did u stop me?

Arnav: Coz I forgot to do something..

Khushi: What?

Arnav: This!

He cupped her face & claimed her lips.

He takes out something from his pocket.
