Fabulous update ... Devi ... I had tears in my eyes at the end ...

Love the new pictures you have put up ...

"I mean, you are going to stay in the house? At the Kalarikkal House? For a week?" the man asked and Arnav raised an eyebrow at the man's presumption in questioning what he would be doing.

"Do you have any objections, Ravi?" he asked, looking at the cell, as if the man could see his expression.

"No sir' no, no. I' I am just surprised that he is letting you stay there is all."

Arnav has realised that there is more to Kalarikkal House than meets the eye ...

confirmed yet again by the comment passed by his driver too ...

"It was my fortune to stay in the illam, sir. It's not often that you get to stay in a place with so much history."

There is another thing that he realises that money is not important to the people here ... when he offered the driver extra money it was reclined ...

Loved the way the interaction between Nalan and Arnav has been shown ... the way all help is refused by Nalan ... while Kashi on the other hand has a totally different rapport with Nalan which is visible at the way she handles him ... there is a bond between them ... Arnav watches them almost enviously ... never having shared that kind of a relationship with anyone ever ... as pure and deep as a mother and son relationship ...

"It was a memory of something he had never had' "

Awesome update... glad Arnav showed some understanding and concern for his driver... and so, Arnav's little friend is still upset with him, and that's only reasonable... And that scene between Kashi and Nalan and Arnav's reaction on seeing it was so touching... You write beautifully, Devi...

Nalan's reaction to him after knowing that he is here for the house and subsequent attitude, Ravi's cryptic comment about him being allowed to stay there and Vasu's almost reverent attitude towards the illam I hope are all indicators that eventually ASR will come to realize that it is a living legacy rather than just an architectural structure on a coveted piece of land.

The interaction between Kashi and Nalan speaks of the depth of affection between the two. And "It was a memory of something he had never had..." is a masterstroke of a sentence making one's heart constrict with a multitude of emotions. 👏
