Maan reached the hospital where Dadima was kept...the whole floor was booked for her and made sure she had the best facilities and doctors taking care of her. The guards led him to her room. He stopped just outside of the door to see her lying motionless on the bed, she was breathing through the oxygen masks, wires and needles running down her hands and arms..for once he felt a little guilt seeing her like this.

He slowly opens the door carefully making sure not to make much noise, he pulls up a chair besides her just looking at her weak form. He can't remember the last time he had seen her like this not even when his parents died he had seen her this weak like today.

He slowly brings his hand to touch her but moves his hand away when he heard the door open. A nurse in her late 20's or so came in the room carrying some shots on the tray. His expressions become hard again as if he doesn't want to show his soft side to anyone not even for Dadima. He saw the nurse looking at him more rather than doing what she came to do. The minute he looked at her, she turned her gaze away and proceeded to give Dadima the injection.

Maan: How long does it take to give a shot? (he gives her a deadly glare...) Give it to her and GET OUT! I don't want anyone else to come in here unless its the doctor bearing a good news..understand?

"Yes sir..."

She quickly gave the shot and ran out with shaky hands...Maan puts his hand on top of Dadima..for the first time he was being affectionate toward her...for the first time he was able how old she really is..her hair was turning white-they looked fragile as if with one touch they would shrivel away, her wrinkles under her eyes, the stress on her face even when she is asleep-what was bothering her? What is she thinking?

She was also mysterious like Geet, unable to read thoughts, unable to foresee what she is planning on doing next. He holds her hands-veins were slightly visible, her skin looked so thin..has she been like this all the time? Was he really unable to see her true state? He felt her hands slightly moving...he looks at her face-waiting for her to open her eyes...

"I am here..." (he felt the urge to say it but didn't...he just kept quiet waiting for her to open her eyes..waiting for her to say something..anything...he was feeling restless...the same restless he felt when his parents died...she slowly opened her eyes, she looked his way... disappointment...nothing but disappointment on her face..was she not expecting me? Was she expecting Geet? A beep went off as soon as she moved her arms..the doctor came running in...he checks on Dadima while he just looks at her...)

Doctor: she is okay...she needs to be here for couple of days

Maan: hmmm

Doctor: Please make sure she does not get any stress...

Maan: okay..you may leave now! (the doctor quickly leaves...Maan looks at Dadima) looks like you are not happy to see me...you want me to leave? (she doesn't say anything..he lets go of her hand to get up when he felt her holding his finger..he looks at her..she slowly removes the oxygen mask...)

Dadima; I am glad you...(she pauses to catch her breath) took your time out...to come...for me...

Maan (sits back down...) You need rest...

Dadima (holds his hand tightly) I don't know ...if I will make it out of this...but...please for me...forget Geet...

Maan (lets go of her hand after hearing her ask him that...) you know that is not possible...I can't forget her...I want her back no matter what

Dadima: Why? (he was about to speak...but she interrupts him) Don't say revenge...I can tell its not for revenge...

Maan: ohh yeah then what else could it be for? Don't think that by just me being here leaving my search for her changes anything. I am still angry at you for making her escape...don't take my kindness for weakness Dadima

Dadima: I am not...I am telling you what I see in your eyes when her name is mentioned...

Maan: What do you see? I am curious to know...(he folds his arms with a smirk)

Dadima: Love...you miss her, you want to see her in front of you, you want to know if she is safe or not...revenge is just an excuse...

Maan (gets up avoiding to look into her eyes) I don't know love...I am not capable of love...you know that

Dadima (puts her hand on his face) Don't fight with yourself...

Maan: Who is fighting? I want her back ONLY because she has to pay a price for leaving me

Dadima (sighs) one day you will realize what I mean

Maan (gets up to leave) Good bye

He drives home angry with himself and with Dadima..."love...I don't love her...I don't even need her..." He looks at the empty house...he imagines Geet coming down the stairs looking at him...he goes toward her only to have her disappear...he turns around looking for her...he hears her laugh from top of the stairs..he runs upstairs toward her but to only have her disappeared again before he could even touch her...he holds his head with frustration...

"what is happening to me? GEET what have you done with me? Why can't I forget you?" (he drops on his knees and starts laughing when he remembers his Dadima's words about love...) "Me and love with Geet?" (he laughs) "I can never love anyone...remember Dadima...I am destined to be like this...don't you remember Dadima?...HUH!" He yells and ask questions throughout the empty mansion but no one was here to answer them...

He remembers how his own father would lock him up, forced him to give punishment to those that made even the tiniest mistakes...

"You will never be a proper king if you let others walk all over you...understand?" Maan sat there on the chair of his father's study room while his father walked back and fourth with anger looking at him with disapproving eyes..."How do you expect me to leave my kingdom to you if you can't even give justice to those that have done wrong? I knew it was a mistake to do this..."

Maan wanted nothing from his father..all he wanted was his love, his one look that showed he is proud of him like the love he sees in Dadima's eyes for him...the love that his mom gives him...it has been two years now since his training and still his father never seemed to like what he does..Maan agreed to his every demands, he even home schools like he wanted, he never made any friends, he barley sees his mom without his fathers permission...he eats, sleeps and acts according to his father's permission but still no matter what it is never good enough

"You have to learn how to make other beg under your feet...you need to know how to take their weakness and use it against them...make them plead for mercy..make them know who makes the rules and who rules them..."

Maan: okay dad...

(his father smirks) Good...now let me see how you handle this person...(he calls on the intercom...) bring him in...(Maan looks at his father with confusion...within a minute the door opened up...a poor guy rushed to his father's feet begging and crying..his father kicks the guy away from him...) Your fate is in my son's hand...he will decide what to do with you...(he poor guy folds his hand in front of Maan..he just sat there not knowing what to do or what was happening around him..)

Let me give you a little description on who he is...this guy (he looks at him with disgust..) works in our company as a peon...in order to make some extra money he decided to sell some of our company's information to our competitors...now he is here begging for mercy..what should we do Maan?

The peon holds Maan's feet while crying...

"Please forgive me...I will never do this again...I was stupid in listening to them...I needed to support my family...I had no other option...please forgive me...please Maan sir.."

"Maan what is your decision...make me proud..." (Maan looks at him with hopeful eyes...for once his father was showing some kind of love in front of him..he didn't want to loose the love...he looks at the person in front of him begging and crying..) Maan..what is your verdict?

Maan: woh uh..

"DON'T THINK..." (he yells at Maan making him scared..)

Maan: He is fired from Khruana Constructions and will not be work anywhere else either...(he looks at his father with approving look...he comes and stands next to Maan...he looks at the guy...)

"You heard my son..." (he calls the guards to take him away..he looks at Maan with a smile) "Good job...I am proud of you..." (Maan smiles back...that was the beginning of new Maan...after that moment there was no turning back...Maan became more and more ruthless giving every possible ruthless punishment to those that have wronged...he often looked up to his father for approvement...he was happy that his father was finally happy with him was proud of him...

Maan sat in the same study room where he had to give punishment..."Are you happy now dad?" (He looks at the giant profile pic of him right above the fireplace...) "Are you happy with me? Are you proud of me now?" Is this the kind of son you wanted?"

He looks at Geet's picture.."I will find you Geet...whether you like it or not you are stuck with however I am..." (he smirks)

Okay I know this whole part had no Geet...I decided to dedicate one part to only Maan..show his inner feelings, turmoil and his thinking...so lets see what happens next!!!😳
