"Khushi! KHUSHI! Uttho!"

"Uffu! Amma! Let me sleep!"

"Get up you lazy girl! Naniji called! We have to go over to the Raizadas today!"

Arnav watched his sister hum happily as she laid out his sky blue shirt with matching white trousers on the bed for him to wear. He rolled his eyes.

"Di, I am not wearing that, and you know it."

"Uff! Just shut up and go get dressed."

"What the -"

"Chup! You'll look so handsome in these!" said Anjali fondly.

A muscle twitched in his firm jaw as for the umpteenth time, he regretted giving his consent to all this nonsense. He gritted his teeth and made to walk over to the more sensible side of the wardrobe.

"Chotte! Ajeeb ho tum! Apne Di ki baath nehi manoge?"

He clenched his outstretched hand, just inches away from the door that would give way to the comfort of suits and dress pants.

Are you kidding me? Again with the emotional blackmailing? Even now???

He let out a heavy sigh. He seemed to be doing that a lot these days.

"FINE."

Khushi put on her crimson salwar suit, knowing fully well how it angered her family to see her dressed in bright colours. She pinched her cheeks and was rewarded with a natural blush. She brushed out her long hair and swept it over one shoulder, and then she was ready.

"You will keep away from them, do you hear me?"

He stared at her, his face devoid of emotion.

"Answer me!"

She watched him run a dry tongue over his cracked lips.

"As you say, Rani Sahiba."

He looked out of the window, his small palms resting on either side of the circular frame. His serious brown eyes widened as he took in the sight some thousand feet below. He shrank back into his seat, leaning against the warm body beside him. He felt her strong arms wrap around him, her soft lips furrowing into his hair.

"Mama, where are we?"

"Home, beta. We're home."

"Chotte, hurry up!" squealed Anjali.

He slowed down his pace and began to lazily stroll down the stairs.

"Chotte! Tum bhi na!"

"Hello hi bye bye! Arnav bitwa snailwa kab ke huwi gayi?"

"Chotte!"

"Arnav bitwa!"

"Bhai! They're coming!"

The bell rang.

A very interesting idea. So he has a baby with La and is hung up on her but will marry Khushi because he liked the look of her? Sounds like a good story can be written of it.

From an IPKKND viewer's perspective I hope Arnav is not too into La. But that has a lot to do with my personal dislike of La, I don't want to influence your story.

Sorry, I never got around to reading the first story you wrote to be about though I tried to save it. Hope this comment makes up for it.

One tip from a fellow writer, you have a lot of short scenes that become a little hard to follow with dialogues alone. You might want to add some description.

An enjoyable read.

OMG!! I love this concept, it's so amazing! Do you know, today I actually experienced the expression 'got the wind knocked out me'- I was NOT expecting Lavanya to be the one you were talking about in the Prologue. Yikes!! Amazing idea:) :)
