Arhi FF: Ripped * Part 9 Update-pg23 19th Oct*

OK. so.
i know it's terrible. and short.
i really don't know whether i should continue this.
i don't even have a name for it.
but DO tell me what you think.

Prologue -

Arnav Singh Raizada sighed as he watched his sister and grandmother gushing back and forth happily as they leafed through the pictures the aunties had brought with them. He shuddered as he turned his back on them, determined to put a stop to all this potential rishta nonsense.

He was not ready to do this. He was not over her.

"Look Nani, she is so pretty!"

"Really? But she's wearing an off shoulder top!"

"Uffu, fine, how about this one?"

A faint smile tugged at his lips as their words made their way to him. His heart glowed warmly as he climbed the stairs to his room, and he felt a rush of affection towards the two women sitting in the living room, hell bent on getting him settled down.

And it was always the same argument, when he would ask them why.

"Because it has been four years, Chotte!"

Four years.

Four years that she had not seen him.

Four years that she had not lain with him.

Four years since his voice had last whispered against her skin, as they climbed their way together in passion.

Four years since she had given birth to his child.

And she had had enough.

Chapter One

"Di, I said no."

"But Chotte! You haven't even looked at her!" said Anjali, brandishing the photograph in front of his face.

"What the! Di, let me work!"

"No!"

"Fine!"

He snatched the picture from his sister and peered at it, giving it a good dose of his intense glare. And then he stuffed it back into her hands.

"There! I looked! Happy?"

"Very."

"So what did he say?" asked Nani, anxious to her very elderly bones.

Anjali's eyes sparkled as she told Nani what he said.

Nani stared at her.

"He said - nothing?"

Anjali nodded frantically, glee evidently etched across her face.

"Then - what - why on earth do you look so happy?"

"Because, he didn't say no."

Arnav closed his laptop, his mind racing.

Maybe Di was right.

It has been long enough. Maybe it was time.

He ran a hand through his gelled hair, making it stick up in awkward angles.

She ran a hand through his hair as he kissed her breasts, and he shuddered at her touch.

He screwed his eyes shut, willing the memories to leave him alone.

She kissed his eyes open, and he gazed at her in wonder as she told him she loved him.

He put a shaking hand to his heart, pleading its erratic beats to slow down.

She laid her head against his heart as he cradled her in his arms, both spent from their first glorious night of love making.

His eyes snapped open.

"Di," he whispered, his mind whirring with what he was about to do.

He cleared his throat.

Anjali ran to his bedroom as fast as her handicapped legs would allow her, her heart pounding deafeningly in her ears. She had been in the kitchen when she had heard the raw, hoarse voice of her brother calling for her. It had drained her of colour, and the pot she had been holding had slipped to the floor with a chilling clang. She expected the worst - it had been long enough, maybe he had done it, he had cracked -

She burst into the room, panting, and relief washed through her as she saw him standing, quite alive.

"Chotte," she huffed, "Itna daradiya humhe, kya -"

Her words froze in mid-air as her eyes raked over his still form, red eyes, clenched fists and the tightened mouth. Her fear came galloping back.

"Chotte? Tum theek ho? What's wrong?"

He looked at her, his eyes moist and hard, his nose flaring up as he took deep, steadying breaths.

"I'll do it."

"What?"

"I'll marry her."
