Part 29

"Aakash, I will go around the back, you knock and see who opens the door. I'm positive he isn't working alone. He has to have contacts." Aakash nodded and went towards the front. Arnav walked around, looking in to all the windows before looking for a back door. He found an open window that he could crawl through. Once inside, he heard the knock and started looking through the different things he could find. He moved quietly and swiftly. He was looking for anything that could point to Khushi and Shyam being here. He could hear Akash and the man talking, but could not make out the words. It didn't matter, as long as he kept the man busy long enough for Arnav to look throught the small house. Arnav found a pair of women's clothing and his thoughts instantly went to Khushi. 'But, she doesn't wear anything like that.' he thought to himself. He went out and saw Aakash in the doorway talking with two people who had their backs to him. He could tell one was a woman and was a man. He saw Aakash shake his head. He turned around to go back out the window.

Aakash was talking to the man when a young woman walked up. The man explained that they had just gotten married and were staying here. Aakash asked if he knew how to get to the nearest clinic. He gave the excuse that his son was sick and he needed medicine. The man gave him the directions as Arnav walked up. Aakash thanked him and both brothers walked to the cars.

"It wasn't them." Arnav said with a sigh. He had been hoping, wishing that it had been them. That this whole thing would finally be over.

"Bhai, don't worry. We will find her." Aakash replied. Inside he was afraid. Afraid of what Shyam would do to Khushi, afraid of what Arnav would do. Aakash took out his phone and called the police, telling them that they were going to the nect address and that the first one had checked out. He hung up and each brother got into their own cars and started towards the next address.

Khushi watched him leave and the second she heard the lock click, she spit the little white pill out. She had seen the pill and suspected what it was. She remembered seeing it somewhere and she saw the name on the packet, recognizing it immediately as an abortion pill. She took the pill and walked to the bathroom. She threw it into the toilet and flushed it down. She washed her mouth, face and hands. She took a drink of water, trying to get the foul taste out of her mouth. She came out and heard the lock again. She walked to the bed and saw him walk in with two plates. He set it on the floor along with two bottles of water.

"Khushiji, I got some food for you. Come and eat." he smiled at her.

"I can't eat. Im feeling sick." she lied.

"Khushi, you need to eat. Please come and sit down." he said.

"I can't. I'm really sorry." she faked her pleading. She prayed that he would buy it and leave. She saw him sigh and get up.

"Fine!" he stormed out and slammed the door. She jumped with the slamming and the clanging of the locks. She sighed with relief and thanked her Devi Mayya. She got the flashlight out and looked around the room. She found a rod attached to the wall opposite the bed. She walked to the wall and tried tugging on the wall. It didn't work. After a couple of minutes of trying, she finally gave up and started crying. She dropped to the floor as her tears dropped with her.

Arnav was very paranoid. Would they find her? What if he had taken her somewhere else already?What if he had done something to her? What if he hurt her? What if...? 'Arnav, shut up! She's fine. He wouldn't dare touch her.' he thought to himself as they arrived at a dark warehouse.

hope you enjoy!! this will be the last update for this weekend because i have two projects due monday and tuesday. i might be able to update monday or tuesday but not this weekend. srry :( please don't hate me.
