Sorry everybody for the late reply! i was just so busy with school and it was taking me longer than normal to finish part 30. Well, i finally did!!!! Here it is:
Part 30
Shyam was pissed. 'How dare she refuse the food he brought her with so much difficulty?' he thought to himself. He decided to focus on the divorce. He had been practicing Arnav's signature and had perfected it. He signed his brother-in-law's name and got up to walk around, willing himself to calm down. It was food after all, it was not like she had rejected him like the first time. After pacing for some time, he went towards the room. He entered the room Khushi was is and looked around. He didnt see her on the bed, he found her by the opposite wall, crying. He slowly walked to her as crouched down next to her. He put his hand on her shoulder.
"Khushiji, you don't need to cry. I will free you from this marriage, sign these divorce papers." he said as he held out the papers towards her.
Khushi snapped her head up at hearing his words, "I don't want a divorce." she said.
"Khushiji, we can't marry if you don't divorce. You HAVE to sign these papers." he said as he took her hand forcefully and made her sign the papers as she cried and pleaded and begged for him to let go.
"ARNAV!!!!" she screamed, praying he was near. "HELP ME!!!" she yelled, praying that someone would hear her.
Arnav and Aakash had just reached the front when he heard someone yell his name. At first he thought he was just imagining it, due to how much he wanted them to be here. He turned to look at his brother who had a look of surprise to match his own. They both heard the same voice scream for help and they knew this was it. Arnav ran towards the door, fury, worry and fear all rolled into one emotion, giving him the energy to run after going 18 hours with no sleep. His heart was beating rapidly, he had tunnel vision, seeing just the door. Everything else was tuned out. He opened the door and ran inside. He didn't know where he was, twisting and turning in all directions trying to figure out where they were.
"Arnav!" she screamed again.
"Shut up! He's not here. Your all mine now!"
"I will never be yours. He will find me. His name will be the only word on my tongue! ARNAV!" she told him.
He covered her mouth to stop from screaming anymore. It was starting to get irritating. "No one will hear you. We are all alone." he told her.
Aakash reached Arnav just as there was another familiar voice scream for her husband. They both knew where the voice was coming from and together, ran in that direction. Even though they both started off together, Arnav was ahead and reached a door before Aakash.
Shyam was still holding Khushi by her hand and covering her mouth with his other. He knew Arnav was here. He knew this was it. He had made her sign the papers and he had come prepared for this. He was going to make her his at last. Arnav had taken everything from him. He had always been in charge of him. Not this time. He wasn't going to let Arnav ruin this for him.
"Khushi, this is it." he let go of her mouth and reached behind her neck to open the clasp on her mangalsutra. He held it in his hand ad he put it in front of him. He dug into his pocket and brought something shiny out. He opened his hand for her to see.
"No" she whispered, recognizing what it was and realizing what he was going to do. She instinctively reached for her forehead and covered her maang, while her other hand was still held by him.
"Please, Shyamji. Don't." she whispered as tears started falling. He put the small box in front of him and brought his hand up to hers.
"Please don't do this. Don't you know what this means for a woman?" she asked through her tears. Her heart bled at the thought of what he was going to do.
"Khushiji, don't cry. I will reapply the sindoor. You are now divorced. You shouldn't have to sindoor on for a person you are no longer married to. You will be married to me so I should put the sindoor on you." he said as he slowly, but firmly grabbed her wrist. He held on tightly as he brought her hand down. He smiled at her, reassuring her he would always keep her happy. He moved to wipe away the sindoor from her maang when he felt a hand on his wrist. He looked at his hand and saw a hand holding his. He followed the hand to see it was Khushi's. His nostrils flared and his eyes flashed with fire.
"How dare you?!" he yelled at her. He raised his other hand to strike her when he felt a hand clamp around his, causing it to freeze in midair. He turned around to face this person. When he saw who it was, he was surprised.
How was it? Who is the person that held Shyam's hand? What will happened next? Hope you enjoyed it!!!
