Shakti was fuming'. What do these guys think of themselves??... the nerve they have to order me around'. Idiots'.. seriously, all men are pigs!!... argh! pigs😆

Everyone was quite in the car and Sneha uncomfortably looked at them, wondering what to do about the tension.

Sneha- ok guys'. Let's take a break'. I'm hungry'. Let's halt somewhere please.

Shantanu- alright'. I have to fill the tank'.. let me find a petrol pump.

After a while he pulled in at a car service station'.. the girls went to the washroom to freshen up.

Shantanu- dude'. It's 10 o clock'. We were suppose to reach Ahmedabad by now.

Amar- hmm'.. I know'.. I spoke to Macci some time back'.. he said they were reaching Ahmedabad in an hour or so'.. they would wait for us at some restaurant there.

Shantanu- I guess you should drive now'.. my lens are irritating me'. I'm having some trouble with the road lights.

Amar- sure'. No problem'.. you sleep for a while.

Shantanu- hmm

The girls joined them'.. Sneha handed the boys a packet of chips'.. they ripped it open and emptied it in no time'. The chips were the spicy ones and Amar looked around for some water'. Shakti quietly handed him a can of coke, without looking at him'.. he smiled and sighed'. kabtak gussa rahegi mujhse? aww,... shakti so sweet

Shantanu- Shaks, tum aage baithogi?... I really need some sleep for some time.

Shakti nodded and got in the front seat'. The others settled behind'. Amar got behind the wheel and looked at Shakti'.. she had crossed her arms and was looking outside the window, still not ready to look at him.

After some time he looked over his shoulder to see that others had gone to sleep'. He looked at Shakti who was still looking out'. He wondered itni raat ko usko bahar itna kya fascinating lag raha hai?

He noticed she had sat up on the seat with her legs crossed'. He placed his hand on the gear stick and lightly brushed his knuckles on her sole of the foot'. He felt her jump'. But she dint look at him'.. he smiled'.. he continued to rub the back of his hand from her toes to the heel'. When his fingers grazed the center of her foot, her toes curled'. So she was ticklish there'.. he inaudibly chuckled and continued to stroke the sensitive area'.. he thought he heard her gasp'.. he looked over at her'.. her face was still turned to the other side'.. but her hands were balled into tight fists in her lap'.. he smiled and spread his fingers and grasped the entire foot in his hand'. he rubbed his thumb on her sole and gently kneaded the dorsum with his fingers'.. she slightly tilted her head back and moaned'.. hell!!... he hadn't known that a foot massage could be such a turn on'.. and the fact that she was allowing him to touch her was driving him nuts.

☺️ DEAD

A car honked from behind making both of them jump'. She reflexly straightened her legs and put them down'. Her breathing had labored'.. she still kept looking outside the window'.. Gosh!!... that felt so good'.. wish he hadn't stopped'..(frowned) wait a minute, I was the one to move away'.. I should be glad I did'.. argh!!... I really have to get a grip of my head. (shut her eyes)

Amar- Shaks?

She dint reply'.. she wasn't sure she could look in those deadly eyes right now.

Amar- Shaks'.. I think we're lost.

She blinked'.. was he talking about lost in each other?... she turned to him with a frown'. She watched his expression and realized the gravity of the situation'.. they were literally lost!!'. She looked out of the window and back at him.

Shakti- what!!!... what do you mean by lost??... how did this happen?

Amar- I don't know.

Shakti- cant you figure out where we are?

Amar- I don't think so.

Shakti- (panicky) do you remember the way back??

Amar shook his head.

Shakti- (shriek) toh what do you know????

He shrugged.

Shakti- oh I don't believe this!!!... what happened to the 'Machos, always the leaders' men!!??

He mutely kept driving.

Shakti shut her eyes and took a deep breath to calm down.

Shakti- (at Amar) ok ok chalo'. Don't panic'.. let's figure something out.

Amar could have rolled with laughter'.. Don't panic??... who???... me or her??!!... he chuckled'. Shakti glared at him and slapped his shoulder.

Shakti- not funny Kunwar!!

Amar nodded but continued to giggle'. She shot him a fierce look.

She looked back at others.

Shakti- shouldn't we wake them?

Amar- (confused) kyun?

She rolled her eyes.

Shakti- God!!...yeh ladka khuch kaam ka nahi hai.

She turned and woke everybody'. She quickly explained them what was going on.

Shantanu- (at Amar) dude'.. pull aside'.. what's the point in going this way if we aren't sure if it's the right road.

Amar nodded and pulled the car to a stop'.. they all got down and looked around for any help they could find.

Alisha- it's past 12 o clock'. Ab kya help milegi?

Sneha- ya but we have to try na'.. (at Shakti) but how did this happen??... jab hum nikle the petrol pump se toh thik jaa rahe the'.. then where did we miss?

Shakti looked at Amar'.. and they both recollected their footsie'. Amar smirked at her'.. she quickly looked away'.. Gadha!!... usko joke lag raha hai yeh sab?!!... Roll eyes'. but Amar dint miss the blush.

Shantanu- chodo na, Sneha'. What can be done about that'.. let's decide what do we do now.

They all looked at each other with blank expressions.

Amar- ok'. Let's go back'.. we try to find that petrol pump again.

Everybody groaned'.. it was getting chilly and they were already very tired'. but they dint have any choice but to go back, instead of going on some unknown road.

They sat back in the car'.. Amar tried the ignition but the machine did not respond'. He frowned and kept trying'.. still no response'.. the damn car won't budge.

Amar cursed under his breath and looked at them with hopeless eyes.

Everybody- Nooo!!!

Alisha- ab kya karen?

Shakti- call Archie'.. where are they?... they could come to help.

Shantanu- they must have already reached Ahemdabad.

Shakti- ya so ask them to come back'.. I'm sure we were not that far from Ahemdabad.

Amar- but we don't know where we are'.. where do I ask them to come?

Everything was back to square one'.. they were on the highway in the middle of the night with a broken car'.. in an unknown place'.. wow'.. what a start to the trip!... and it's all because of this stupid guy, who drives me bonkers!!

Sneha- so what do we do?

Amar- I'll go back and get some help'.. you'll wait here.

Shakti- (panicky) nooo'. You're not going anywhere'.. aur woh bhi akele'. yeh time pe.

Amar- toh tum mere saath chalo. (wink)

Shakti was taken aback'.. she opened her mouth to answer but dint know what to say'.. she frowned and closed it.

Shantanu- haan'.. I think it's a good idea'.. you both go and get us help'.. we'll wait here and see if we can find anything here... agar khuch mile, call me.

Amar- ya bro'.. just call Archie and inform them about this'.. (at Shakti) chale?

Shakti swallowed hard'.. wiped her hands on her jeans'.. and nodded'.. she wasn't sure if she was nervous of the dark, unknown road or him.

Do pyaar karne wale Rasto mein kho gaye😆

Amar collected his phone and a flashlight and they headed off in the opposite direction.

They walked almost a mile in complete silence'.. she dint even look in his direction'.. Amar could feel she was anxious and he smiled.

Amar- scared?

Shakti- no'.. why I should I be scared of you?

Amar- (chuckle) I meant scared of the dark.

Shakti- oh'.. (embarrassed) no I'm fine'.. it's not so dark'.. thank god there are street lights.

Amar looked at her'. She had her arms crossed over and she was rubbing her bare arms with her hands.

Amar- I'm sorry.

Shakti looked at him with confused eyes.

Shakti- huh?

Amar- we are in this because of me'.. I should have paid more attention.

Shakti- (sigh) it's not your fault, Kunwar'.. I should have also been more attentive'. Aur aise ho jaata hai na'. chill (smile)

Amar smiled and they kept staring in each other's eyes.

She blinked and looked down... sometime back she was solely blaming him for getting them stranded here, in the middle of nowhere'.. toh ab kya hua?... why do his eyes always make me mushy?

awww. both r so caring towards each other😍

Amar could not resist any longer'.. he stepped towards her and pulled her in his arms'.. she snapped her eyes up, completely taken by surprise.

Shakti- Kunwar yeh'..?

She dint finish'.. she kept gazing into his chocolate eyes.

He had his one arm around her waist and he brought the other hand to rub her bare arm.

Amar- (whisper) you're cold.

She shivered'.. but it was nothing to do with the cold... he gently continued to rub her arm and back with both his hands.

Shakti- I'm'' (cleared her throat) I'm fine.

She lightly pushed him away and escaped his embrace, looking down'.. Amar wanted to get her back where she belonged and touch the pink hue on her face.

She turned and started walking ahead'.. Amar smiled'.. shook his head and followed her.

After a while they saw a light ahead and they hurried to it'.. it was a small roadside tea shop'.. they walked up to the shop.

Amar- (to the Chaiwala) arre boss'. Yahan pe kahin koi mechanic, ya petrol pump hai?

Chaiwala- nahi sir'. Woh toh bahut dur hai.

Amar- kitna dur hai?

Chaiwala- kum se kum ek ghanta yahan se.

He pointed in the direction of where they were going'.. Shakti groaned.

Shakti- I cant walk now.

She sat on one of the benches and Amar joined her.

Chaiwala- don't worry sir'.. yeh lijiye (handing him 2 glasses of tea) mere haath ki chai peejiye'. Aap aur aapki Mrs. dono fresh ho jayege.

Both Amar and Shakti's heads snapped up'. They looked at each other'.. Amar's lips twitched'.. Shakti blinked and quickly answered the chaiwala.

Shakti- arre nahi bhaiya, hum'..

Amar interrupted.

Amar- thank you bhaiya (taking both the glasses from him)

He turned to her and passed her one glass.

Amar- here you go darling'. Yeh peelo aur fir chal te hai'.. (to Chaiwala) hum Shaadi ke baad first time iske ghar jaa rahe hai'.. bhaag ke Shaadi ki thi na'.. ab ghar walon ko manane jaa rahe hai'.. gaadi kharab ho gayi raste main'. Toh koi mechanic dhoodh rahe hai.

He looked at Shakti'.. she was staring at him with her mouth hanging'.. he winked at her'. She blinked'.. looked at the Chaiwala and smiled weakly'.. he went back to his work'.. She turned to Amar and glared at him.

PATI- PATNI😲

Shakti- (hissed) w*f was that??!!!

Amar shrugged'. And sipped his tea.

She snarled at him'.. he sniggered.

After they finished their tea, the Chaiwala came back to them.

Chaiwala- sir, woh meri cycle hai. (pointing at a cycle leaning against a street pole)'. Aap usse le jaao'.. aate time, le aana.

Amar got up and hugged him.

Amar- thank you dost.

The Chaiwala was surprised by the hug'.. he moved back and smiled with embarrassment'.. Shakti giggled.

Amar turned to her and winked.

Amar- chale bhagyawan?

Shakti rolled her eyes and got up.

Shakti- (to Chaiwala) thank you bhaiya.

Chaiwala- madam, aise lagta hai maine aap ko kahin dekha hai.

Shakti looked at Amar with alarming eyes'.. she should have guessed'.. they were known faces'.. they would be recognized by people'.. thankfully Amar butt in.

Amar- haan'.. yahi ki rehene wali hai na'.. dekha hoga'.. acha chalte hai'' thank you'. Cycle jaldi lauta dunga.

He held Shakti's arm and pulled her to the cycle'.. he quickly got on the cycle'.. made her sit on the rod in front of him'.. and left.

Again there was an awkward silence'.. all they could hear was the sound of the pedal chain.

Her back was pressed to his body and he could feel every strand of hair standing on her arms'.. his face was close to her neck and he saw her carotid pumping strong'.. he dipped his face and buried his nose in the crook of her neck'.. her scent was making him go wild'. She placed her hand on the his hand to steady herself'.. her head tilted back to rest on his shoulder'.. he dipped his head further and planted gentle kisses along her collar'. He felt her tremble.

Shakti- (whisper) Kunwar stop'..

☺️ y r u killing me again n again?

She opened her eyes'.. oh God!!... this was not right'.. but her throat was dry'.. she swallowed hard'. Just then she saw a truck racing towards them'.. she gasped.

Shakti- (shrieked) Kunwar, watch out!!!!

He lifted his head to see a truck coming at them'.. his eyes widened.

Amar- oh F**k!!!

Just before the truck could crash into them, he took a sharp turn'.. but before he could get some control on the cycle they run into one of the road bumpers'.. they both flew out of the cycle'.. the last thing he heard was Shakti's scream.

oh nooo😭
