Amar- Shakti!!!!??

There was no sound….. he got up and looked around frantically.

Amar- dammit!!!... Shaktiii!!!!!!?? (yelled)

He ran his hands through his hair….. tears stung his eyes….. agar usse khuch hua, toh main apne aap ko kabhi maaf nahi karunga!!... oh god….. please let her be safe….. just then he heard a faint sound….. he frowned and looked around.

Amar- Shakti??

Shakti- Kunwar??

He looked around….. finally!!... he still dint see her…… but at least she is safe.

Amar- Shaks….. tum kahan ho?

Shakti- yahan.

Amar frowned.

Amar- yahan kahan?

Shakti- mujhe kya pata?….. I can't see anything….. it's too dark here.

Amar rolled his eyes…. and looked around….. where the hell is she?

Amar- are you hurt?

Shakti- no, I don't think so…. what about you?

Amar- I'm fine…. Ok now say something.

Shakti- what say something?

Amar- arre keep talking so I can hear you…. at least that can guide me to you.

Shakti- acha ok….. but what should I say?

Amar- oh god Shakti….. just keep talking….. I don't care what you say.

Shakti- ok….. should I sing a song? (giggled)

Amar- (groaned) stop annoying me Shakti….. do whatever you like….. just keep talking.

He moved around to look for her.

Shakti- Kunwar?

Amar- haan?

Amar rolled his eyes and sighed….. thank god she was fine….. he rubbed the sweat from his brow and concentrated on her voice to find her.

She was giggling….. Amar laughed….. itni besuri awaz hai, par fir bhi isko humesha gaana reheta hai…. she is so adorable!!

He was close now….. he could hear her clearly….. he was standing at the corner of the road….. he leaned slightly to look down the curve….. he saw a small pit below….. he removed the flashlight from his pocket and flashed it down the opening.

Shakti looked up….. there was a light coming from above….. directly on her face….. she covered her eyes and tried to see who it was….. but she couldn't see his face.

Shakti- Kunwar?

Amar- yes Shaks….. it's me.

She grinned.

Shakti- yay!!... you found me.

She clapped and giggled…. She heard his soft rumbling laughter too.

Amar- pagal!

Shakti- acha are you planning to get me blind?

Amar- huh?

Shakti- get that damn light out of my face.

Amar- oh sorry.

He switched off the flashlight…. He bent down and stretched his hand out.

Amar- come here….. gimme you hand.

Shakti held his hand and he pulled her out of the ditch….. he yanked her up and both of them fell back on the road with her on top of him….. she looked down and their eyes met….. she lowered her lashes and Amar reached up and kissed one of her shut eye.

Amar- I'm so glad you are ok. (whisper)

His lips lingered on her lashes….. she sighed….. and placed her head on his chest….. he wrapped his arms around her….. he planted a kiss on her head and cuddled her closer.

He dint realize for how long they were lying there….. he felt her shiver…. He looked down….. she was fast asleep.

Amar- Shaks?

She stirred but dint wake up….. instead she nuzzled closer with her face buried in his neck….. her tingling breath made him shudder….. a shot of desire ran through his veins….. he groaned…. She was driving him insane with each passing second and the worst part, she dint even have to be conscious to do it….. he closed his eyes just enjoying her feel in his arms.

His phone rang….. he cursed soflty….. she woke up and looked around with confused eyes….. she looked at him and her eyes widened….. she quickly sat up….. ran her hand through her hair…. Avoiding his eyes….. Amar answered the phone.

Amar- haan Shan?

Shantanu- hey bro…. kahan ho?... kitni dair?

Amar- dude…. The petrol pump is very far….. we haven't even reached half way.

Shantanu- it's ok Amar, just come back….. Archie just called….. he said he's sending another car from Ahemdabad.

Amar- arre but how will they find us?

Shantanu- I asked some truck drivers who were passing by….. I have the directions….. I spoke to the driver Archie is sending us…. He asked us to stay where we are….. he'll pick us up first thing in the morning.

Amar- acha ok…. Cool….. so we'll come back?

He looked at Shakti….. she was watching him….. trying to figure out the conversation….. but her eyes looked disappointed….. did she also not want to go back?... he smiled weakly at her.

He quickly heard what Shantanu was saying and hung up.

Shakti- kya hua?

Amar- wapas bulaya hai?

Shakti- oh

She looked down….. and frowned….. why am I upset??

Amar- (getting up) chale?

She nodded without looking up….. she tried to get up, but a pang of pain ran through her ankle.

Shakti- ouchhh!!!

She winced and sat back…. Amar came to her and kneeled down.

Amar- (concerned eyes) what's wrong?... are you hurt?

She nodded.

Amar- where?

Shakti- my ankle….. I can't stand.

Amar- come here.

He sat down and placed her leg on his lap….. he rolled her jeans up to her knees and touched her ankle….. it was swollen….. she winced….. he held her heel and slightly moved her foot to check for the mobility…. She cried out in pain.

Shakti- Aaahhh….. Kunwar….. that hurts.

She grabbed his t-shirt from the sleeves and held onto it for dear life….. he looked at her….. her eyes were shut tightly and she was biting her lower lip….. he cursed himself….. he was responsible for this….. he took her face in both his hands….. she opened her eyes and frowned.

Amar- I'm so sorry….. sab mere wajase ho raha hai….. I'm the one responsible for all of this.

She sighed and held his hands, that were on her cheeks.

Shakti- no, it's not.

She leaned forward and kissed his cheek….. he was taken by surprise….. he looked at her and blinked…… she frowned and looked down….. she pulled back getting some distance between them.

Shakti- let's go. (avoiding his eyes)

She tried to get up….. but before she could do so…. Amar got up and lifted her in his arms, like she was just a feather.

Shakti- (stunned) Kunwar…. Yeh kya kar rahe ho?... put me down.

Amar- I can't let you walk with that ankle.

Shakti- arre but you can't carry me all the way back.

Amar- yes I can.

Shakti- don't be stupid Kunwar….. put me down….. I've not broken my leg….. it's definitely just a sprain….. I can limp.

Amar kept walking…. She rolled her eyes.

Shakti- gosh!!... you are so stubborn!!

He looked at her and grinned.

They were silent….. he looked at her….. she was in deep thought.

Amar- kya soch rahi ho?

Shakti- huh?... khuch nahi.

Amar smiled and continued to walk.

Amar- I dint realize this before.

Shakti- kya?

Amar- tum bahut bhaari ho gayi ho….. lagta hai New York main gym nahi the. (laughed)

She punched his chest.

Shakti- ha ha….. very funny….. ab toh nahi utrungi….. jaao….. carry me all the way.

Amar- I can carry you all my life, princess.

She rolled her eyes.

Shakti- ho gaye shuru?…... Mr. Flirt.

Amar- (laughed) kya karun?….. itne time se koi mili nahi flirt karne ko.

She snarled at him and pulled his ear.

Amar- aoouu!!!….. dekho masti nahi….. chod dunga.

Shakti- (dramatically) oh no Kunwar….. please aise mat karna….. mera kya hoga?

He laughed….. leaned down and kissed the tip of her nose….. she gasped….. and turned her head….. blushing….. she dint dare to look up.

They walked silently again….. sorry, he walked….. she was toh clinging in his arms….. with her arms wrapped around his neck….. he looked at her and smiled….. he loved pampering her.

They reached the tea stall…. But it was shut.

Shakti- arre…. Woh toh chala gaya…. Btw uski cycle ka kya hua?

Amar- it's no more….. agar tumhara pair thik hota toh uska atim sanskar kar lete.

She giggled.

Shakti- toh ab kya karenge?... bechare ki cyle gayi.

Amar- I'll pay him.

Shakti- acha?... and when will that be?

Amar- right now.

He placed her on one of the benches….. removed his wallet from his back pocket….. got out a good amount of cash and slipped it under the hood of the stall.

Shakti- (whistle) wah….. I'm impressed…… Shabash mere sher….. oh sorry, uss chaiwale ke liye toh sakshat Santa Claus. (giggled)

He laughed and went to pick her up….. she dint protest this time.

They finally reached their car….. seeing Shakti in Amar's arms, Sneha, Alisha and Shantanu rushed to them.

Alisha- yeh kya hua?

Amar- nothing….. she just sprained her ankle.

Sneha- gosh Shaks….. that's swollen bad.

Shakti- hmm

Amar placed her in the front seat... and they all waited for Archie's driver to come and pick them up.
