i feel so lousy that writers on this forum cannot create peices to their hearts content
and they must be warned and restricted on what they can and cannot write
its a shame that writers cannot express what they want to write for a single 9-year old
and seriously most people on this forum r mature and extremely well informed
it's not our job to be their parent or protect them
its such a shame this forum loses writers on a daily basis because they get no space

so disappointed that a truly gifted writer is not being valued for her work. Rather she is being insulted. Pandora's Box is a phenomenal piece of writing. It is very tastefully done. The writer brought the characters to life and made the story one that I will never forget. So heartbreaking that she did not get to finish this treasure.

please change your policies to allow writers to display their talent on their terms. If someone is offended, they shouldn't read it.. Life is about choices and unfortunately our choice was taken away.

phenomenal..thats the word i was searching for!..its in the second of third chapter of this ff..where the author warns beforehand this particular update might offend religious/national sensibilities..and trust me NONE of us found it least bit offending. she is that refined and classy in her writing. please go and see for your self.

It's a plea.

Please don't shut down such a beautiful piece of writing - 'Pandora's Box'. You can't just base your judgement after only reading one chapter which happened to be "explicit" in your words. Honestly, that is an incorrect word to use. If you had been reading the story since the beginning, I'm sure you wouldn't have called it that, the content written in that story is clearly realistic, beautiful, and perfectly descriptive.

Saying that it's too graphic/explicit is a HUGE let down to the author (minimuffin86) and the reader. This is a beautiful story from the time of the Partition between India & Pakistan, and all you can point out is one intimate scene that wasn't even close to "explicit"? - that's just sad.

'Pandora's Box' is an extraordinary piece of writing that has ever been written in this Fan Fiction forum. Some people need to grow up and be mature about stuff they read, or may be go check the actual definition of explicit in the dictionary.

Please don't be so unfair to Munchy, she's dedicated so much of her time to this magnificent FF, and all you do is have her shut it down for something that's not even true! I call that complete unfairness.

And if it comes to children reading this stuff, then that's their problem, first of all they shouldn't even be here without supervision from their parents.

Please take our opinions and pleas seriously. This is coming from a loyal reader of Munchy's writing. Please take it into consideration.

its seriously not done.
i would request that when you see 'graphical content'(your words not mine)..please go through the entire ff..or at least give it a glance. then you would realise what im trying to say here.

case in point "the pandora's box"..was a heart meltingly beautiful piece of art..with a huge mature fan following(what are 12 year olds doing here..i ont even know).
we are all shocked and saddened by its pre mature ending.
please please please read the entire thing and then you will realise that the content wasnt explicit for the heck of it...it was needed..you would see the emotional depth that the story has...
please withdraw you censor here..coz it was really not needed...the author is mature enough to know what goes with the storyline and what doesnt..and trust me..so are her readers.

please please..consider my request!

I agree!!

Its totally unreasonable to ban is beautiful story!! And thats really a shabby way the author has been treated. Please reconsider your decision Moderator.

To the Forum ...As you can see, most of us that were following Pandora's Box are devastated. The story contained sexual scenes between a husband and a wife that are fundamental part of the characters' lives...but it is so much more than that The time of the partition was a dark, shame filled time for India. Every story I have ever read or watched about this era has been difficult to get through. Pandora's Box was so exquisitely written with descriptions that brought that whole era alive with the religious and racial tensions of the time. With the cruelty and violence that was taking place all around them, the two main characters are able to find love. The description of their love is so crucial to the story. Their love is healing. I am totally crushed that this tale will not be brought to fruition because someone cannot understand the beauty of well-written literature.

And Munchy, thank you for so many hours of enjoyment. I pray that you are not too disheartened by this development. It would be a real shame if your talent was not shared with all your devoted fans! All the best. Love you!!!! Carole

(A side note: And the fact that again adults must suffer because we have "offended" some 9 year old really upsets me. Do parents even have any control any more? As mature, reasonable adults, we must again lose our freedoms to be politically correct to a child who should not have been on this forum.)

Pandora's Box is the most beautiful piece of literature I have ever read because of it's soulful and deep undertones and if your an adult why would you be disturbed by such fantastic writing, for starters there shouldn't really be kids on here anyway. I really am annoyed at how people can be so narrow minded as to think its vulgar when in reality it's a tastefully written story. some people just need to accept that the times and culture has moved on. Munchy should not be subjected to this horrific treatment. She deserves to be able to write whatever she likes!

I do get what your saying. But can't you have a seperate place or thread for mature ff's only?. Pandora's box is a magnificent story. you cant just read one update and then threaten to close the ff down! Pandora's box is a beautiful story with an amazing concept. the writer munchy puts her heart and soul in the updates, researching every little thing to the very last detail, making sure none of her readers are offended with the updates. to have her hear that her ff is going to close down because of some 'graphic content' may have hit her hard, because she can't even give it the ending it deserves. 9 year olds should not even be allowed on IF, when i were nine, i was out playing games with friends or playing with the new toys not on the computer, i didnt even know how to turn it on! this is an adult forum! we should all be treated fairly. I agree with nayika, we should have some guidlines so we know what is acceptable and what is not but please let munchy finish her ff, read all her updates and then you will understand what she was trying to show through her writing.
