Geet was scheduled to leave for Delhi in next 2-3 days. With her exams scheduled for a week after, immediately being followed by the wedding, she hardly had time for her preparations and shopping. Initially Geet suggested that Anu and Pinky take up this responsibility but neither Dadi Ma nor Pammi were happy with the suggestion and so Nandita had asked Maan to escort the girls for shopping. Horrified, Maan had tried every trick to get away from the embarrassment that he knew the girls were capable of putting him into but alas Viren's stern glare on seeing Geet's dejected face had trapped him. He didn't know why he was even here as Anu and Geet hardly paid heed to his suggestions and so after 15 minutes he resorted to be a mute spectator and passed occasional dirty looks to people who stared at them. Another squeal broke his reverie and he let a frustrated sigh before turning to rebuke them.
Instantly, the poor guy was cowering away from the petrifying glare Maan was casting his way and Anu burst out laughing while Geet narrowed her eyes at Anu who was thoroughly enjoying the scene. "I swear I won't ever need to watch comedy circus ever after your marriage Veerji" she blurted between the peals of laughter while Geet shot an indignant glance towards her and turned to walk out of the shop. "Geet!" Maan called out and Anu ran upto her to block her way. "Arre gussa kyun kar rahi hai? Main toh mazak kar rahi thi" Anu adorably said. Geet stuck her tongue at her and smiled ear-to-ear, "Toh main kaunsa serious thi?" with that the two started laughing again and Maan ran a hand through his hair, already waiting for this torturous shopping session to end.
Arjun turned his back to Mr. Mehta as he spoke out aloud, "Maan... Maan... Maan... like sister, like brother! Kitne sapne dekhte ho tum! (sigh) dekh lo... jitne sapne dekhne hai dekh lo par Geet... (evil laugh) Geet to sirf meri hogi... kyunki main Geet ko chahta hoon... (at once turning back, facing Mr. Mehta) Geet meri hai... sirf meri!" Arjun finished dreadfully and Mr. Mehta couldn't have been more thankful for the iron bars that stood solidly between Arjun and him. He wished he could withdraw from the case but knew that would be perilous for him as Arjun was not only dangerous but pure evil. The hefty amount that lured him to take this case suddenly felt inconsequential as he wiped the sweat from his brow. "Get me out of here!" Arjun commanded shouting right in his face, using all his strength as if to pull the bars apart that blocked his path and kept him captive.
"Geet sirf meri hai... aur jis din main bahar aaya, Geet tumhe mujhse koi alag nahi kar payega" Arjun promised to himself silently.
"Yeh Anu kahan reh gayi?" Maan enquired looking at the entrance of the boutique. "She had to meet her designer Maan, aa jayegi" Geet reassured him while she waited for the sales girl to get the lehnga she planned to wear on the night of her Sangeet. "I think we can still visit some designer label for your dress Geet. It's not yet too late" Maan said eyeing the modest boutique Geet was adamant to get her apparels done from. "Maan! I can't afford it and I'm not letting Adi Veerji to spend a fortune on my wedding. It's not right!" Geet affirmed. "Geet! Do you want me to talk to Adi regarding wedding expenditures? Or we can even have a simple wedding if you want it that way" Maan held her hand delicately. Geet smiled, "Thanks Maan! But I'm sure Adi Veerji and Pammi Masi ji will not like that" Geet replied as a matter of fact and Maan nodded in understanding.
Anu was going to the jewelers to get Dadi Ma's few jewels polished when she bumped into Yash who was there to meet a friend at the cafeteria in the mall. Anu was very happy to see him and when she told him the purpose of her visit, she immediately suggested that Yash too buy something for himself to wear at the wedding. Yash feigned to protest but Anu was adamant. She held his arm and pulled him into another store that specialized in men's wear while Yash followed her giving in to her demands. However, truth be told, this chance meeting at the mall was no coincidence but Geet's plan. When Geet told him about her and Anu's plan, though he was initially reluctant, he finally gave into the temptation of spending some time with Anu. He loved Anu, there was no doubt on that but he didn't want to put any emotional pressure on her and so he had decided to give Anu some space. But then Geet also told him about Anu's promise of making an attempt to move ahead in her life. And then now, unlike their last meet, Anu's affable and relaxed conduct towards him were all collectively adding fuel to the dwindling fire of hope in his heart.
"Geet kya hua? Aur kitna time?" Maan asked standing outside the door of the trial room. It had been 10 minutes and there was no sign of Geet and when he felt his patience wearing off, he came to ask if there was any trouble. "2 minutes Maan" came Geet's prompt reply. "Agar koi help chahiye toh main andar aakar tumhari madat kar sakta hoon" Maan joked leaning close to the door. "Shut Up Maan!" came an irritated reply and Maan chuckled. Since they were there quite earlier than the peak timings, Maan and Geet were only clients present apart from the occasional potential customers who dropped in to check the collection. "Geet??" he called again after sometime and this time, Geet slightly opened the door and asked Maan to call someone to help her. Maan nodded and looked around. There was no female assistant present at the time and Maan tried to call Anu but there were network issues inside the boutique. "What is it Geet? There's no one around" he said.
Geet was thinking about the festivities that were to begin in another fortnight when she went into the trial room to change. The fact that she was getting MARRIED had slowly started settling. She was getting MARRIED! TO MAAN... the man she LOVED the most! Smiling all the while, her mind started playing the moments that had laid the foundations of their relationship. A chanced and uneventful encounter at his office, their fights, his attitude, her resolve, the proximity that made her heart flutter, confession on the cliff followed by countless sunsets they watched holding hands, her pain of separation, their coming back together and now taking their relationship to another level where he would don a new role in her life! With the realization a new sensation tingled in her spine and suddenly she felt shy! Suddenly the moments of their proximity held more meaning than ever. While she was lost in her own dreamworld, adorning a demure smile, she didn't realize that she had entangled the doris of her blouse. Tried as hard, she couldn't reach behind her back to sort out the mess and she was stuck. With no one else available to help, she had no choice but to call him in to help. And now, the shy and demure form of this to-be bride felt all the more awkward and embarrassed. She was now realizing that soon they were going to share everything they had and that also meant... themselves! The thought made her flush and her cheeks felt warm. She was not ignorant of his passion and his desire for her. There was a part of her that wanted him too and she knew as the days passed by, that part within her was gradually growing stronger.
Maan was lost in the moment. When he tentatively entered the changing room, he didn't know what to expect except that he was going to tease her and irritate her just as she had been right since the morning. But then when he noticed her endearing blush he felt his heart melt. Not really comprehending what exactly was making her feel so shy, the coy form of her drew him in and he felt like wrapping her in his arms and just feel her close. She looked divine just as she was and he wondered what it would be like when she would be dressed in her full glory. She was his... the fact made his heart swell with pride. He was going to cherish her and keep her safe. He tried to read her but couldn't fathom her apprehension. She avoided to look at him and he didn't like it one bit. He wouldn't let her shield her soul, the source of her ethereal beauty, from him. He tried to lift her face but she turned away. He observed the play of emotions on her face in the mirror that she was now facing. He could feel her heartbeats picking up pace. And then as she moved her hair from her back, he not only realized the cause of her hesitance but was also caught on the frenzy that she was treading onto.
He loved the myriad feelings that played in her eyes. His hand slipped onto her bare waist and his fingers played around her navel causing her to tuck her tummy in. Her eyes made a silent plea yet again and she squirmed in his arms and in response, he pulled her closer plastering her against him firmly. His eyes drank in the sight of her inviting form observing her from head to toe savoring the sight of her delicious curves, lingering a moment too longer at certain places. He didn't touch her but she turned a crimson red, feeling him undress her through his eyes. "Pleasee" she whispered but he paid no heed as his other hand moved upwards over her arm, coming to rest on her shoulder before he dipped it towards her neckline near the gentle rise of the swell of her breasts where he could feel her erratic heartbeats.
She slowly opened her drugged eyes and eyed him, not knowing how she was supposed to handle the surge of this passionate moment. She didn't know what she was expecting to happen but knew she wanted more of him. He ducked in again and moved her blouse off her shoulders. Panicked, she tried to stop him but he caught her eyes and his eyes spoke of immense reverence he held for her. She knew she could trust him. And truth be told, her insides were right now too squishy to hold herself firm. As he bared her shoulders, he was careful to not push her too far or tread himself on the path from where he couldn't return. He licked and sucked over shoulders drawing deep moans from her that did nothing to help him ease the burst of his ardor. He turned her to him at once and caught her lips in a surging kiss pulling her to him. And this time, when they drew apart, Maan held her at arm's length, intently watching her giving her time to regain her balance of reason.
She wheezed and whirled around, self-conscious now, her eyes to the ground. Maan raked his hand through his hair and took a deep breath before he stepped closer to her. He picked the dupata from the ground and wrapped it around her before taking her in his arms. "Kya hua Geet, main toh bas fittings check kar raha tha" he said mischievously to lighten the impassioned air around them, though his rugged breathing gave him away. She turned in his arms and buried herself in his chest. "Is that all? Itne main yeh haal hai, toh aage kya karogi Geet?" he said throatily. "Maann!" she whimpered too shy to look at him. "Kyun? Sach hi toh keh raha hoon Geet... Kuch din aur... aur phir..." his implied meaning got her to bite her lower lip and she playfully hit his chest. He smiled but then whispered, "I think the dress fits you well. And you look beautiful... either ways..." he trailed and Geet instantly looked up flabbergasted at his implication. He winked and Geet glared at him for embarrassing her.
