As I mentioned to u earlier, I really like your way of narrating the story going back from past to present and again back... I know this will take a long time to clear a lot of doubts that we have in mind...

As you mentioned the end is sad, I am sad for Arnav that he is still unable to overcome the fact that his wife left him for her lover who assaulted her...even though he loves her and is supporting her by not telling the truth to his family he is still unable to get over the fact that someone was physically close to HIS khushi... yes I m sad for him...

I'm sad for khushi too...she still is unable to comprehend why her husband has decided to get her back...it is still not clear to her and the fact that he forced himself on her...marital rapes are very common in India...

Ur story has shaped up beautifully...

Wow thank you for your comment! I am so glad you appreciate the speed at which the story is progressing. Love how you think 😉 And I know how sad is it that these kinds of things occur, not just in India but all over actually. Although there is a general feeling in India with women, especially in rural parts, as submissive objects for men! It makes me SO mad 😡 Not that I'm a campaigner or anything but I know a few families who think boys should be given preference to girls. It makes my blood boil, especially since I have grown up in a family where both genders are given equal rights.

Ok I know I was going to make them meet in this very update itself but I wanted to show Arnav's reluctance first. Maybe the next update? or the next? 😆 sorry I know too many secrets can turn one mad, I find myself struggling to keep up with it all...

Love this FF. Your story is very intriguing and captivating. Their relationship is sooo confusing!! Lol.

So, they got married obviously cuz Arnav's mom wanted it. That's the ONLY reason (as of right now) that made Arnav agree. And Khushi probably agreed because of her family pressure and her secret crush on him.

When Arnav found out about Uday and confronted Khushi and threw her clothes in a suitcase (can't remember the chapter), he told her he never hated her. But then why didn't he ever make her feel happy or show her that he didn't hate her? I guess you'll let us know bout this soon.

Obviously Khushi is super apprehensive about being 'normal' with Arnav again. It's understandable. But, Arnav's random outburst (maybe it wasn't random, maybe he picked up that call from Uday?) is obviously going ot be a sort of setback for their relationship. Well, he practically raped her, so I'm pretty sure Khushi is not going to be all lovey dovey with him now.

Hey thanks for your comment. 😊 I just want to clear something up. Obviously I don't want to give too much away but I guess I can lead you down the right path. The crux of this story is really about being unsatisfied with what you have in life and only really realising its importance after you lose it-hence the name "retribution". That is why their relationship is SO complicated because both characters are so flawed.

Arnav never hated Khushi-actually it was kind of the contrary, he began loving her. But of course being the kind of self-sufficient, headstrong character he is he is in denial and does everything in his power to try and run away from that. Much like we see in the show. Here comes in the angle of not appreciating what you have. It's not that he out-rightly was a monster-he never beat her or anything- but the way he acts makes Khushi miserable. You have to imagine Khushi as a young aspiring girl with dreams of her Prince Charming, only to end up in a loveless marriage, where she feels tied down and her wings are clipped. The cage and the monster are all metaphorical for the way she feels.

Khushi never did anything so much to make him hate her. But she is middle-class, he doesn't believe in love and marriage, he is stubborn, her personality, him trying to control his life...piece it all together and what do you get? I hope you get it 😉

Khushi on the other hand has everything a girl could ask for except one thing-her husband's love and devotion. She sees glimpses of it though but that leaves her all the more confused. That's why she jumps on the Uday bandwagon. Tis' life my friend-I'm afraid people just don't think. Ask any regretful cheater why they cheat and they will most likely say I did it in a moment of stupidity. This is a young impressionable bitter girl.

Yes Arnav is possessive and no the outburst wasn't random. Hopefully you'll see a new dynamic to their relationship in the next update.

Yes I love shrouding everything in mystery. 😆

The end was pretty painful. Poor Khushi :(

So they got married like this and i'm guessing perhaps eventually Arnav fell in love with her but never expressed it or maybe never realized it and it made Khushi feel he hates her? So she got involved into Uday and when Arnav got to know about them he was angry since he had started loving her? :O

OMG! This is amazing. Arnav needs to do something regarding his anger.
