hey so good to see you write on this couple...after GHSP ended, Humsafar is the only other show i watch...excited to see where you go with this FF...are you PMing?
actually, will differ a bit here rgdg ur comments on asher...i can somewhere understand asher's insecurities concerning Khirad..he had her safely slotted as this timid, small town girl with little or no brains, convo or independent thought ..only to have that perception blown to smithens and see her emerge as a strong, independent, intelligent woman of substance who at the same time is beautiful, naive and innocent...he loves her but at the same time fears losing her ...dunno whether its coz she is much younger than him, or coz she is so different than the girls he is used to...but i always got the feeling like he was living on borrowed time...therefore, it wasnt very difficult for him to be convinced by his mom's lies..after all who wud think his mom wud play him like this...its not abt khizer..its abt ashers own insecurities and his lack of confidence in their love...just what khirad says in the last epi...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts ;)
Though its his insecurities that had distanced them, I think he owes her an audience...if nothing at least a confrontation. True he is at first taken back by her accomplishments and transformation, but he does come to accept them in the show. Apparently they have written his character as one, who is captivated by that change in her, as well as the husband/lover who sees it as a threat.
But I see the flaw where they have portrayed him with this undeniable anguish and dismissal towards other women for years after she'd left him, and yet he was also the same person who never attempted to find out whatever happened of her, when she left, without a divorce.
That's my take...let me know if I'm slipping in my observation.
