My ears hearing the sound of the waves,
Every speck of air splashing into my face,
Fulfilled were my deepest craves.
I relished the joy of seeing far beyond,
Where nothing meets infinity,
My tiny finger wrapped around dad's aging one,
Astounding was the magic of those memories' honesty.
Fresh, it was when I let go of his touch
And ran miles,
But today, I stand coming back to him
To see him awaiting me in smiles.
To My beloved father,
From his ever-loving Daughter.

Those lines there are amazing! You've depicted the whole father-daughter thing in there... how we grow up under his protective and caring shield and how we venture out in the world. . . but its always him we look forward to, when we are in trouble or even if we are just looking for a safe haven!
Beautiful thought! I'm proud of you for writing that! 🤗
