I like this. Parallel universes, both have their pasts intruding into the present. Do they have any conviction in what is now to leap into the future together? Isn't "them" a little new for this type of conviction too.

About Geet's mom, we all know most NRI parents here are called helicopter parents, they hover over their children so much. Yet with something of their choosing having gone wrong so badly that it needed Geet a month with them, I am sure they will not be so confident into making choices for her.

I really didn't expect a kiss...they're moving terribly fast, so I'm quite glad Maan stopped in time because they probably would both be embarrassed. However I think they've both sort of moved on from a rebound relation...they've acknowledged they have a physical attraction, but underneath that there is a sense of understanding between the two. Of course if an ex does make a return, it'll throw them off track but I don't think either will consider going back.

I'm unable to comment back on your posts due to time crunch in office. Also something has come up that might have me away from IF for sometime.

I ve been racking my brains so hard to get something out ever since I read the updates, and its been to no avail so far. I just knew I had to write something, before that something inside strangles my mind.

I have no idea why but I can never really dissociate christmas from an underlying strain of melancholy and it does tend to effect how I read or watch stories playing out in its embrace.

Its also strange that though their loneliness , heart aches, despair seem compounded simply for their timing, their connection , their heightened senses, and the desire to revel in them, seem genuine ,and unaffected by that same catalyst.

Sometimes any excuse is a good excuse to propel forward.

I really liked it, that she seemed as in wonderment, as him, when she stood peeking at him quietly, and ran off when he caught her doing it .

I love animation movies, .. though Wall-E is one movie I do not watch at whim. Again, the loneliness they spelt out in him, in even the barren desolate earth they leave behind, makes me restless.(crazy , i know😆)

so her answer, for my own self (and I apologize), remained clear of any reference to the festive seaason.:)

I like emotions, unencumbered and not subscribing to any particularities of how they came to be.

(I tell you, I feel like panting after commenting on your thread. now c.17 remains ;) )

How voicing one's doubts, one's questions, eased the mingling of their spaces.. or is it the ease which rendered the questions devoid of the need of answers..

it came out very naturally, the sudden frenzied need of physical proximity. physical expression.

and his reaction to the picture in the yearbook. it brought home to him , just how much of a departure this truly is for her.. all the courage , the hope, the strength, at work defying everything she had known and accepted as unlike her.

Wasn't it tenderness he felt for her then, which prompted that kiss? From that picture he knew much more than anything she could have said would have let on.

Intrigued about the phone calls.. Update soon :)
