Part 1
He is standing in front of the pyre. There is no tears in his eyes but anybody could see the pain in those eyes.
He promised himself that he would not cry. He would not cry for her!!!
She has betrayed him! She has cheated him!! So why should he cry for her?? He is not gonna cry!!!
The beautiful moments of his life flashed in front of his eyes...
His wedding!!! That was the most happiest day of his life! He still remembers how beautiful she looked in her bridal outfit! She was the most beautiful bride in the whole world... His love was visible in her eyes... Yes he loved her!!! Loved her more than anything else!!! And today he was getting married to his love!!
The vision changes...
And he remembers when she told him that he is soon gonna be papa!!! It felt like the whole world stopped!!! If he has thought on his wedding day that nothing in his life could ever come close to the amount of happiness he felt at that time, then he realised now how wrong he was!! No happiness in the world can come even close to the happiness he felt today!! He is gonna be a father!!!! His child! Her child!! Their child!!!! He touched her tummy and felt amazing sensation in him. No one can express the feeling of becoming a father in the world, not even the father himself!!!
The vision changes...
She fainted today! He is so scared!! He picked her up in his arms and rushes towards his car. He puts her at the back seat... And gets himself on the driver's seat. He doesn't know what got into him. He drove madly towards the hospital while fear engulfing him in every second. He keeps on looking at the back seat at her but she is still unconscious. At last he reaches the hospital. He picks her up in his arms and orders the doctor to check her first. The doctor takes her inside the room to check her up.
Every minute that he is spending outside is like a torture for him.
After half an hour, nurse comes out and tells him that he can go inside. As he enters, he saw doctor checking her reports and she is sitting in a half-sitting position and smiling weakly at him. He goes and hugs her tightly. "How are you now sweetheart?" he asked her.
She smiles weakly and says "I'm fine."
He touches her seven-month big tummy concernedly. And she answers his unasked question "Baby is fine too!"
He looked at doctor and asks for her reason to faint like this. Before doctor could answer, she said quickly "It was just due to weakness Maan!"
And he believed her and scolded her for not taking care of herself. He orders her that from now onwards she is just gonna take complete bed rest! He is not taking any chances with her or baby's health...
The vision changes...
He picked up his little baby girl in his hands for the first time!! His world stops as he feels her little gentle form in his hands!! In a mere second, he imagined her growing up, her going to school, her making friends, her homework pressure, her going to college, her falling in love, her getting married, her having kids, her kids growing up... A lone tear of happiness escaped from his eyes as he looked at his daughter!! He promised himself that he will never let her cry!! He will never let the slightest pain ever touch her!! Anything that comes towards his daughter with evil intentions, have to go through Maan Singh Khurana first!!!
The vision changes...
He is sitting in the doctor's cabin. His world freezes one more time in the same day... Just this time, it's due to pain... He felt someone was ripping his heart bit by bit mercilessly as the doctor's words echoed in his ears "I'm sorry Maan! But she has very less time with her!! I told her that this baby is dangerous for her life, but she still insisted on having this baby. She knew how much you loved this baby!!"
His world came tumbling down. He was numb with shock!! He couldn't believe that she did this to him!! She knew that her life was in danger, but still she bore this baby! Why??? Doesn't she knows that he can't live without her!!! He gets up numbly and walks out of the doctor's cabin without any word...
The vision changes...
He is sitting on her bed in the hospital room. He knows that this might be the last time he is seeing her. He is breaking inside but he is still not crying. He is feeling so helpless for the second time in his life...
He said to her with pain and anger "I hate you! I hate you!!"
She says with tears in her eyes "Maan!"
He didn't reply. He is mad at her for cheating him like this.
She again said "Maan! Could you do something for me?"
He shakes his head in a no while tears have started threatening their entrance in his eyes but still didn't say anything.
She pleads "Please!!"
Still he didn't reply but he didn't refuse either.
She picks up some envelops from her pillow and says while offering it to him "Can you give these letters to our daughter on her every birthday? I want my daughter to know who her mom was! How her mom was! I wrote everything I wanted to tell her in these letters... These will be the only memories she will have of her mother!!!" and she starts crying.
He takes the envelopes from her hand but still didn't say anything. His voice is choked in his throat due to tears.
He looks away trying to control himself.
He heard her say again "Would you do something more for me?"
He still didn't reply and she said "Will you name our daughter Geet!!"
He looks at her while on the verge of collapsing and pleads her "Please don't leave me!!"
She started crying and said in between her sobs "I'm sorry Maan! I'm really very sorry!!"
He hugged her tightly knowing that this is the last time that he is hugging her...
The vision changes...
He is standing at her pyre... She left him... He felt his whole world breaking apart as he saw her burning in the pyre bit by bit...
A lone tear escapes from his eyes and he says with pain in his voice "I love you Natasha!!!"
AUTHOR'S NOTE
OK guys I know most of you have guessed by now that this is a movie! Then yes this is a movie which I'm gonna write on Maaneet. This is one of my fav movie and yesterday as I was watching it again, I was imagining maaneet in it. So thought of writing this story on them.
So I'm confessing over here that this is gonna be exactly like the movie (yes I mean it! Literally!!) but I will put on some masala from my side as you have realised in this part.
I saw few of my IF friends doing the same with either movie or a book so thought why not give it a shot??? If you don't want me to continue it, just tell me, I will stop!
And I'm sure most of you have guessed the movie name but I'll still disclose it in the next part...
