Things that i simply LOVED..

1. Georgette Heyer 😉😉

2. As someone else already mentioned, there is a sort of serene poetry and a divine rhetoric in your sketches... the words lay bare a vivid picture of utmost beauty - the actual scene, behind-the-scenes, the thoughts as well as the undercurrent of tension, anticipation as the 2 move towards their inevitable union. 👏👏

3. The dialogues and the characterisation... i mean i think yours are more true to the original than the CVs have been these past 9 months or more... it has been the 'death of the author' and we have understood Maaneet as flesh & blood characters FAR better.

Ah! The CVs would never realize what they possessed and what they have lost. And sadly, they gone way ahead the point of return. They can only add tricks and shines but never recreate the original move.

4. The leads... I simply love your Maaneet - there is immense believabilty in their quirks, their flaws, their reactions to the happenings around them... i mean my fav bits from your desc..

Geet - A quiet girl - inward looking and happy in what she has made of her world, going with the flow of life and ready for opportunities when they come and when she is allowed to take them. While she doesnt take the route of the rebel that doesnt make a subserviant soul. She merely bides her time... nonetheless as focused on what she wants as the best of them... any man worth his salt will have to work his way to reach her inner sanctum... if he doesnt bother, then he's not worth it...

the last bits were what really made your Geet stand out from the melee

You know you have actually brought out my Geet way better than I attempted. I was frankly at my wit's end to bring out the Geet she has kept concealed. This is everything I wanted to put forth.

Maan - 'Not a recluse, but minds his own business'... what a brilliant and perceptice desc of how recluses perceive themselves 😆😆... A no-nonsense guy not out to peacock his riches or prove his worth & supriority... no cynical, world-weary billionaire out to prove to himself that the world is mercenary yet one who derives his worth from the 'toad-eaters' (yes yes... i know!! 😉)

One who genuinely seeks those in whom he discovers a kindred soul and eschews the rest... 'i mind my own business'...

A recluse to the world would always disagree at being called so. Or it would amount to agreeing with the same society that he has shunned. And yet, there is a truth in his claim. Simply keeping to one's self maybe perceived as reclusive since one is cut off from the perception's of others. Society doesn't take to that kindly. Unless ofcourse you are loaded to the hilt, which would invariably put you off more than ever before.

And which is why there is an inevitabilty in their coming together... a classic case of 'like calls to like' and not the cliched 'opposites attract'

Even the most rebellious wandering souls secretly long for a place to call their own. And invariably we would want the place to be something like home. Familiarity breeds comfort in some cases.

5. The inevitability of it all... - 2 people drawn together by their desire to keep the riff-raff at bay and save their deepest self for only a privileged few... 2 people not bothered about keeping up or fighting with the world, content in their own...😍😍, 2 people with their private dreams, admitting only those who share a similar dream...

Even the inevitable fall.

Love is the only true inevitable of all.

I have written this horribly long mail but am still not convinced i have been able to explain well what struck me most as the beautiful parts...

After reading the first update i thought as if you were describing an angel's dream, as if maan saw something divine there waiting for his car.

She seemed to be from another world though you have given some hint that she has to go through all the real world hardships just like normal people.

And about maan i really think that it is painful to be rich in this world, all that fame and money, just giving you solitude and no happiness in life.
